She didn't pressure us for a higher priced package and actually showed us where we could save money. Every time we came in, Andrea was friendly and courteous. The facility was always clean. Below is the email sent to Exclusive Tans after my recent experience: To Whom It May Concern, I've been going to Exclusive Tans for nearly a decade. Recently I moved, got a new job, and also switched banks. During all the craziness of moving, I hadn't been tanning for two months! Gah! So, last Sunday I thought I'd get back in there and get rid of this ghastly, pale skin for summer. I was greeted by a woman I didn't recognize and when I gave her my name she said I'd need to pay over $90 for the last two months and then I'd be charged for this month as well. I explained my situation and surely there was something she could do besides expect me to pay that amount for tanning! I even shared that years ago I had a similar gap in payments when I moved and they just started my payments back up when I came back in. She made no effort to work with me and condescendingly said it's in the contract. Period the end. I even asked if she could see in the system how many years I've been a loyal customer. Nope. No budging. She was snotty and rude. I paid my $90 for the months missed during my move and I cancelled my membership. This is my formal cancellation in writing in case my cancellation wasn't honored last Sunday by your clerk. I have moved to Palms Tanning where they have a fun, clean, comfortable and modern environment and are happy to earn and keep my business. Oh, and no crazy contract! And cheaper! In the future, I'd encourage you to weigh the loss of a long standing customer and member of our small community before sticking to a contract to squeeze out $90. I would have been happy to pay 1/2 the amount owed and kept my business there if any effort or appreciation for my years of business had been made. Now your staff lost your company $540 a year and has someone putting you on blast via social media for such a poor experience. I've had a great experience with Exclusive Tans! I rarely tan and had a ton of questions for the employee working at the front desk. She answered all of my questions with ease and professionalism and steered me in the direction of the proper level tanning bed. I felt completely at ease knowing that these employees take time out of their day to make sure their patrons have a wonderful experience. Not as "glamorous" as the Palms, but I'll take the customer service any day over them. After dealing with rude front desk girls at the Palms, I walked out of there pissed and didnt know where to turn..I was immediately welcomed and treated like a queen. Being currently employed by a different tanning salon located in Castle Rock I may or may not be terminated for admitting that I am a patron of this salon..instead! I ideally want to work here based on the variety of offers at this location, friendly staff and small business feel BUT they are fully staffed:( Even with my discount (which is only 10%) at my current place of employment, it is cheaper for me to tan at Exclusive. Not only is it less expensive, they also offer many levels of tanning beds, a hydration station, red light therapy AND professional air brush tanning that DOES NOT TURN ME ORANGE...and lasts longer than 10 days without sloughing off!! I was immediately welcomed and the gal that helped me came out from behind the counter to welcome me and explain the pricing. She went above and beyond to find a price right for me as well as lotion. RUN FROM THIS PLACE! Terrible tanning salon. Castle rock is changing and there are much better options. Don't let your high school students come here for prom. I'm sure their beds are not quality and that they do anything they can to meet their bottom line. Even with the 50% discount you would have to see that the quality is poor the beds aren't even clean. I bought lotion here and didn't like it. They exchanged for me after telling me that no one returns "jwow" lotion. Oh my god that's ridiculous. Get over yourself it's made by Australian gold. So they exchanged it for another lotion that may or may not have been the same price. I came in used the replacement lotion once. When I came the second time the lotion I originally bought was gone and the replacement was gone too what a circus side show. So they wouldn't give me any lotion until they called their manager because the manager didn't bother to make notes in the computer. Hmmm I would think an exchange that you totally freaked out and were rude about would warrant putting notes in but I guess you're just that lazy? Then we saw another tanning salon by sprouts literally blocks away. SOOOOO much nicer and cheaper for the same beds. This has to be a joke?! How do they not know that their business model is a ridiculous. They also give high schoolers 50% off to get prom tanning. This has to be the only way they make money. If you like paying more for lower quality than come here. Then when I want to cancel my VIP (wow I feel great about making that investment) on May 4th they said okay but we will still charge you the full amount on June 2nd bc they need a 30 day notice. I guess this is another strategy to keep their business a float. You would think if someone was that appalled by your treatment of their customers you wouldn't try to cheat them out of another 35$. The best part! They asked "well do you still want to tan?" "Here's a sample thimble" no thanks. I want to get as far away from your wasted space of a business that I can. read more

I am having a horrible experience with this business and the owner, Leigh, is only escalating the situation. These are not good people to do business with. I wish I had never, ever stopped the car in front of their store... My response to the owner was as follows: Ohhhhhhhhh Leigh. BTW Katie's my handle. Per my doctor's orders I am and have stopped treatment from your facility because the treatment I signed up for was dangerous to my health. You have over $400 of my money for services that have NEVER BEEN PROVIDED and you're refusing to refund MY money. No contract was ever signed between us. Instead of doing the RIGHT thing and following 'good business practices', etc, you are refusing to return my money to me (pre-payment for anyone who wants to know). Instead of refunding my money, you told me I should buy over $400 worth of merchandise from your store or spend it on spray tans. I don't want to buy over $400 worth of nail polish, or purses, or whatever other gimmicks you have right now. I don't want to spend over $400 worth of spray tans. Per the last correspondence we had, you said I could call your lawyer if I wanted to pursue a refund. Sooooooo Leigh, thanks to your terrible business practices, I will see you in court. The place did not feel clean to me and was annoyed when they asked if they could put a 20 % tip on my bill.....isnt it up to the customer depending on the service. I love exclusive tans. I really have zero complaints. I go here for all my spray tans, and I go pretty frequently. The staff is so welcoming, comforting, personable, and knowledgable. The technicians truly know what they are doing and they always do an amazing job. The facility is clean, and pleasant. My spray tan never looks orange, it's always a beautiful bronze/brown. The only thing I would say is that it's pretty pricey compared to other tanning salons, but you get what you pay for. read more

For the past several years I've gone to another local tanning place before our first beach vacation in order to get my base tan started. This year I decided to try Exclusive Tans because it was a little cheaper. First impression on walking in is how run down feels. The carpet is very worn and stained, and the makeshift "lock" on the door to the tanning room was basically useless. The tanning booth I was given appeared to be quite a bit older than what I've used before but unfortunately, I still went ahead with my tanning session even after my initial misgivings. BIG mistake! I ended up with a horrible burn ONLY on my backside while the front side of me barely got any color at all. Obviously there is some kind of issue with the tanning bulbs which is very concerning. Stay away from this place unless/until they upgrade their equipment!!! read more

Worst tanning salon I have ever been to! I paid 14$ for one tan in a level 3 bed...the bed was so old and so ghetto the fans didn't even work so they had a floor fan at the bottom of the bed. The bulbs and ceiling of the bed was dirty and discusting I felt like I was in a horror movie! The bed closed so far to ur face you couldn't even move! Their beds are so out dated and the whole salon was very unsanitary. I will NEVER GO BACK to this place! read more
