I was looking forward to a professional, polished experience; instead, I felt like a car being pushed through an automated wash. The entire service--hairwash, haircut and a blow dry--was completed in exactly 20 minutes. It felt incredibly dismissive. A haircut should involve precision, checking for symmetry, and a bit of artistry. A blow dry should be about volume, hold, and attention to detail. Instead, I was rushed into the chair and rushed right back out with my hair still wet. It was a "blink and you'll miss it" service that left me with a result that looks haphazard and unfinished. There was zero effort put into the styling. I didn't feel like a valued client; I felt like a checkbox on a list that they wanted to clear as quickly as humanly possible. I was looking forward to establishing a relationship with the place. I left the salon feeling more stressed than when I walked in, and now I'm stuck trying to fix my hair myself. If you're looking for a relaxing experience or a stylist who actually cares about the quality of their work, please look elsewhere. This was a total waste of time and money.

It asked specific questions about my hair care, styling preferences and hair desires/goals. I've never had a salon ask for that info but it shows they really care and want to make clients happy. The salon was very clean and the atmosphere was relaxing. They had a great selection of teas and coffee and lemon ice water. I feel like Reagan did a very thorough job on my high and low lights and a trim. Best part was the scalp massage!! Overall I was pleased with the experience and my hair turned out great! I thought it was really unique that J Salon has their own line of hair products. The owner works with a chemist to create a variety of hair products at a reasonable price.

Which is completely understandable, what am disappointed in, is the lack of effort or flexibility in getting me rescheduled. The salon is the one canceling on me--it would be nice if there was some flexibility or ability to work with me to get a new date booked. To note this is the second last minute cancellation I have had with this salon.
