I have seen the light when it comes to tanning salons, Yelp friends! I love a good spray tan, but getting an appointment with a person who sprays can be a bit inconvenient. Because of the inconvenience, I used to frequent the chain 'At The Beach Tanning' around once per week; but nearly all of the time, I'd end up coming out of there with literal SPOTS all over my body because of the terrible spray tanning machines. I just thought this was the nature of the spray tan, so I kept THROWING my money away for months on a membership. (Not to mention how unsanitary that place was!) That is until I talked to a friend that recommended getting a spray at Tan your Hide. I took a chance and went in last night for a spray and was NOT disappointed! First, I want to note how CLEAN the salon was and the room I sprayed in were. They clearly pay attention to that. Second, my tan is a DREAM. Someone at the salon picked my color, and I did the accelerator with it as suggested; I was so happy with the finished product! No blotchiness AT ALL. A smooth, even spray, and a BEAUTIFUL shade! Not a good experience AT ALL. My first time tanning for a photo shoot and I was greeted by a rude employee. I wanted to return the next day, Saturday, for a second round. I asked the employee what time they would open and she replied, 8am. As I arrived Saturday morning at 8am, the sign said they did not open until 10. I am a member and I left my earring there. I called and the associate said she had it, and that she would keep it for me until I could pick it up. I only go once a week. it was a couple of weeks later that I asked for it, and the associate told me it's not there. She called the owner, and the owner was basically like, "not my problem". Neither of them even offered an apology. I was upset that I was told they had it and then they didn't. I'm assuming it got thrown away. The associate was so rude and kept looking at me (while on the phone with the owner) shrugging her shoulders., as if to say, "what do you want me to do about it". The only time she said anything, she was repeating the owner saying, "we aren't responsible for stuff you leave here". You can't expect good customer service if the owner is the example. With that said, the associate, Kate is super sweet and great at her job. Too bad she can't be there every time I tan. read more

Beds are high quality and things are kept clean. Ladies at the front desk are accommodating! It gets busy in the mid afternoon, and sometimes there's a wait. I do believe they could offer better pricing for 1 week pre-vacation tanning - $50-100 seems pricey. read more

So....I just left. I went in for a spray tan. I bought a package of them a few months back and have gone several times now. Every time I go to this place they are out of something. Last time they were out of the barrier cream, which is what prevents the ultra orange hands/knees/feet etc. Tonight they were out of the shower caps. So annoying to have my hair sprayed with that solution. Then while I was tanning about 50 drops of water fell on me from the top of the booth. Apparently it had no been wiped down after it was previously used. This should make for great result....NOT! When I told the girl up front about it, she just starred at me with a dumb look on her face. This is when you offer to reimburse me sweetie!! I really want to like this place, it's close to my house and a spray tan really isn't very complicated. I can get over the ratty dirty towels. I can overlook your dense staff. BUT... To the owner: it's ghetto to run out of the basics. It's pretty simple, if you run out of shower caps have someone go buy some at Wal-Mart. Keep a good stock of barrier cream. This is basic business! Get it together. Response to business reply: I have never been given any free tans, no one from your store has ever contacted me. I did not write a FB review. Last year I was a member and dealt with the manager, Maddie who is no longer there and now am dealing with a huge issue with credit because she couldn't handle her job nor did she know what she was supposed to do. I love this location! Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. They also NEVER pressure you to buy anything which is my favorite part. Everything is very clean and they always have good music playing. There aren't any sign up fees and it's easy to do monthly. Nice place but not great service. First time in and woman at the counter insisted on selling me a six month package that would charge my card automatically, monthly. I said no thanks, just pay as I go please. 15 minutes of persistent up selling and I decided it wasn't the place for me! She did the same thing to the woman who was ahead of me, except with a bronzing lotion. read more
