Been coming here for over a year now and still feel solid in only giving a 3 star review. I come to tan and use the massage chairs and feel it is still a decent tanning salon at best. What I feel could change: I don't believe they ever sweep the floors in the tanning rooms. I always find gum wrappers, dirt and dust in the corners that appears to never be swept. I always leave my socks on for this reason when putting lotion on. Not to mention the splatter from lotions on the walls and doors. Secondly, please add side tables to each tanning room; not every item a person has can be hung up- a side table would be nice. Third, please train your staff on customer service and to acknowledge customers as they arrive. A simple, "Hi! we will be right with you" can make a customer feel as if they are welcomed. I often walk in with 4-5 female employees with owl eyes all staring at my entrance, but I am the first one to say hello. I often get the vibe that they are annoyed by anyone's presence, but I don't care enough. I think there should also be a dress code for when you are at work; some of the employees dress as if they just got back from the gym and are wearing barely anything. Like, get em girl, but you're at work ok? Lastly, to the owner- please take these recommendations as they seem to be the majority of your customers issues and I have NO IDEA why it still isn't being addressed. read more

Beautiful tanning facility. It makes you feel like you are truly in a resort somewhere tropical. I expected to be sold tanning lotions or additional add-on when I first walked in to sign up for a membership, but wasn't, which was pleasant. It was my husbands first time tanning so I did expect that they would offer some sort of instruction but didn't. It's a nice place employed by young ladies, could service be better, maybe. However, the cleanliness and the overall experience makes up for it. read more

Worst customer service and way to run a business. I am a nurse and religiously go here and they have me a nurse discount through the pandemic, which I thought was great. Tonight I went in ( as I do almost weekly) and they told me their employee had been wrongly giving me the discount and I retroactively owed my discount . I was appalled. Why should I pay for their employee mistake and this is the way you honor nurses? I am fine paying full price going forward , but not paying because you have poorly trained young staff. They then told me I could not tan tonight until I settled up. I won't recommend this place to any nurse or anyone. read more

Beautiful salon, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Unless you want to be rushed and forced to start tanning after 5 minutes, don't go here. Your bed will automatically turn on after 5 minutes. Sounds like a lot of time, but when you have winter clothes layers to remove, bronzing lotion to apply, then wipe your hands off so they don't stain, then apply your sunscreen to your tattoos, then get in the bed, 5 minutes goes by fast. I requested info from Glo corp as to why they feel the need for the delay to begin with and the reply I got was a note was put on my account to give me more time. The problem is, that doesn't work if your employees don't use that info and give you more time. Happened to me yesterday. I had to ask for more time to prep, but no one wants to help and when they do finally reset your bed, you have to wait for 3 minutes before they can reset your bed. Before my bed was even turned off to reset, I was now ready to tan, but instead I am pacing around my room waiting for this timer to count down. Your 10 minute tan will turn into an endeavor and all the while the staff treat you like you are the bad guy, instead of appreciating your business. Your luxury tanning experience will not feel so luxurious if you tan here.If you want a cattle car experience for $70 a month, this is your place. read more

Rude Rude Rude staff. The other day I renewed my 3 month package... they ran my credit card and said I was good to go. The next time I was in they accused me of not paying and said I couldnt tan. I talked to the manage who squared things away and I thought it was all good.... NOPE the front desk girl said I was not allowed to tan and was super rude to me.... Instead of "making it right" and letting me tan or working something out, they let me walk away without apologizing for their screw up. Sorry if their employee upset a customer by messing up and then acting as if it were my fault. Terrible customer service. I walked out and went next door to executive tans - who treated me like a queen. And after reading the other reviews, I find it inappropriate how the owner responds extremely passive aggressively when the customer should be right. read more

When I want a beautiful glow without the skin damage I get a gorgeous spray tan called the "mystic tan". You can select light ,medium or dark and I have to admit the dark is very cool. It makes you appear like you have been vacationing in the Hawaiian islands for a month. The only reason that it is a 4 star experience is the fact that you get the feeling you stepped into a carwash when you get the tan. The nozzles sweep up and down spraying a wet tanning shower allover. The end result justifies the slightly uncomfortable experience of being put through a human carwash. :-) The facility is attractive and relaxing with its Polynesian vibe. I love the mystic tan and the beautiful glow it gives you! read more

I have been pleased with this salon since switching from a competitor due to location and convenience. They have nice beds in decent condition, and I like the tropical, more private ambience that differentiates them. Their staff is generally friendly and available to sign in and assist, with backup at the ready. I also love that there is no upsell game, while my previous salon chain would hammer into deep conversations about their $120+ lotions customers NEED to buy (when you still have a good supply!). But today's experience here left me really upset... I usually use the level 3 beds and just realized my membership includes level 4. The desk attendant was friendly and directed me to room 1. My calves started to feel a burning sensation at about 3 minutes in. I felt around and other spots were not nearly as hot to the touch. I kicked up the fans and kept my legs elevated for the remainder. At ~2 min remaining, I realized one of the side angle face bulbs was out, so now I'll have a half face tan too. I looked at the bed when I was done tanning, only to see the acrylic was physically warped right where my left calf burned most. What was most frustrating was that when I kindly stopped at the desk before leaving to inform the attendant of these two issues that require attention before the bed is used again, she said, "Oh, sorry about the bulb. We didn't know about that. Our owner is aware that the acrylic needs to be replaced and the part is on order, so we should get that fixed soon. That bed is always used back to back, so it does get a little hotter." I asked if they could please inform clients that there's a problem with the bed before use (especially for the first time in that bed), as I would have much preferred a downgrade or waiting to burning my leg off. (Not an expert, but I'd vote for it to be marked out of order until getting fixed.) While I have little confidence my ask will be taken seriously through this interaction, I hope this is heard by the owner and management. Thank you! read more

Very Rude so-called manager Mia. The rest of the staff is unprofessional and rude as well. They have no clue as to what customer service is. If they used the " like" in a sentence, they used it ten times and when you ask they a question most of the time they answer with "I don't know". The staff are like little high school girls with gossip and drama. We cancelled the membership because of this and they continue to bill us for two months and refuse to do anything about it and could care less. I have been told four times the owner Holly will be contacting me but has yet to do so. I am giving her one last chance to contact me and refund our money. If I have not heard from Holly by 7/31/18, I have already spoke with my bank and they advised me to dispute both charges and they will refund our money. If you like dealing with little girls and their drama and unprofessionalism this is the place for you. If you are looking for a professional tanning salon, look elsewhere! read more

Love love love tanning at the palms. The multiple locations and ability to be able to tan at any of them is why I buy a package for both me and my boyfriend. The staff is always friendly and so helpful. It's nice walking in and being greeted by name. Not having to sign a contact is also a plus. I have been coming here for a few years now and I have to say it is one of the best places to tan in Castle Rock. They offer a wide range of tanning beds as well as two different spray tanning booths. I prefer the Versa tanning booth, but the other one does a good job too! read more

I have been going to this location in Castle Rock for a while now. It's convenient and I typically never have to wait for a bed. For this, I'm torn on the ranking. Last night I was in there and I kept hearing these screams of laughter. When I was leaving there were a group of younger girls back by the projected beach scene taking pictures and playing round with the scenery, fun however, too loud for a what seems this place of business is staged for. Maybe more acceptable behavior at a bowling alley. When I mentioned to the front desk staff that they were a little loud and made it difficult to relax, she replied with, "I'm sorry about that. There is a dance tomorrow, so there really isn't anything I can do about it." That response alone is what would make me rank this a 2 or 1 star. I said, well, you can ask them to keep it down. I understand the girls being excited for the dance the next night, however, it is a place of business and they were loud and disruptive to the rest of the customers... those who are members and come regularly vs. their 1 night pre-dance prepping. I feel it's completely appropriate to tell guests to keep it down if they are hanging out goofing off. There is a large fountain at the front of the store, so it is possible the front desk staff couldn't really hear what the rest of us in the sunbed rooms could hear. Otherwise, I would recommend this location to others. I use that time there when I go to relax and wind down. read more

Staff can be very rude and holier than thou!! I went in to tan .. they told me I had no tans left. Interesting, since I had just bought a package. So .. I went home, looked through my credit card statements and sure enough .. there was a recent charge from the Palms. I was a pretty good customer .. so why screw me out of tans. Mistake or on purpose?
