The tire was only three months old and I bought a warranty with it, but I bought them from somebody else a major chain. I had to go somewhere and I kept losing air in that tire. The chain could not see me for two days I called Lang and they said come up here. We can do it. We have a guy that only does that. They fixed my tire and I was on my way. Yes, I had to pay for it to be fixed, but at least they cared. That is the difference nowadays in a good business versus one that is not a good business. I grew up in the area and I can tell you in 40 years they have not changed their service or their model of operation.

Don't waste your time contacting their training manager, Paul Gay. He's mentioned on the store sign that he appreciates comments or compliments, but he doesn't even respond to email messages! Clearly, their "trainer" needs training in customer service! I see why the manager's customer service is lacking. If you want the services you pay for, DON'T take your car to Midas on Mayfield. My mother stopped taking hers there too! You've been warned. I will NEVER take my car there again! Customer service is crucial, and theirs is terrible!

But didn't deny the wrongdoing when confronted. Tim the shop owner claimed that they did a relearn afterwards. But relearn is not the same as repair! The vacuum leak problem was totally ignored and the smoke test was not done. Tim insisted that I can safely drive with a bad oxygen sensor. Glad I didn't and God Bless AAA tow truck. Another shop corrected what WHAR neglected to do. Never again am I setting my foot in this shop and don't recommend it to anyone. I guess this shop knows how to take advantage of an elderly woman. UPDATE: four months ago (May 2025), this very shop did some work on my car and requested a positive review. I said OK but am unable to post it since I reviewed before and Google won't let me do it again. The shop then sent a link to my phone and I was able to post a positive review from a different gmail address. I am buffled how WHAR even knew my another gmail that I never told them about, and what else they know about me, and how they are going to use this knowledge. IMHO this explains how many positive reviews of this shop are posted. Don't take them for granted.

I ended up getting there by 8:44 The bitter woman told me because I was 15 mins late I would have to wait a couple hours. I said ok. (Even tho There were no other customers and just a couple of cars one being worked on.) The little one and I walked around the neighborhood had breakfast and went to the store etc we came back almost 5 hours later to "pick up the car". She said " Why are you here?" She looked at me crazy then snapped at me -with hate ..." they didn't do anything! I told you that you would have to wait!" I told her it's almost been 5 hours not two, she then snarled at me that she was the manager so "call corporate." So, I went to Midas on Mayfield just down the street and the staff were polite and courteous. They were fast and charged almost half the price. I think this is my first Yelp but I hope Mr. Tire starts to take a look at the faces they put at the register to speak to customers from now on.
