They cross threaded the oil pan drain plug on my Audi. Stay away from this place. They are not specialists. They're hackers

I took my sons car to these people 3 years ago. I told them do anything and everything to the car…read moreto make it safe and serviced for my son who will be traveling to California with it. They replaced all 4 shocks, timing belt, tires, oil change, and brake pads and rotors. Two days later our son followed us with his car for the 2000 mile trip. The 2nd day on the road my son complained of a bad vibration up front. We were in the middle of nowhere. I pushed on the car and noticed it clunked. We nursed the car to a truck stop and the mechanic on duty determined that the brand new strut bolts were NEVER TIGHTENED on top and had started coming loose. This shook the car badly enough he had lost a hub cap. Bolts torqued down...we paid up and went on our way. I drove his car this time ...noticed a VIBRATION from the front. At the next stop we determined our brand new tires were OUT OF ROUND...ALL OF THEM! A call from Oklahoma to Auburn revealed what he had represented as tires from a wreck that were barely used were in fact RECALLED TIRES. The owner told us to return them for a refund...when we hauled them all the way back from Ca.! When I spent 2 hours getting a quote to ship them back rather than haul in our car because they smelled toxic in a heated car, so the owner said throw them away and he'd pay us when we got back. He did refund the tire money, but nothing for the risk of continuing to Ca. from Ok on them and the time lost and aggravation. Skip ahead 3 years...There are no potholes or bumps in roads in Ca...but somehow all the new struts are worn out and caused the expensive replacement tires we bought out there to be ruined from cupping.( caused by lack of down pressure from the strut ). This was brought to his attention by the shop that has just repaired everything....again. My son brought the car in because the front brake on one side was GRINDING. It turns out one side was normal brake wear and the other side was trashed...metal on metal. My son drives 15 minutes to work each day. He does not hot rod and drives very defensively. He is not a car mechanic but knows how to check tire pressure and oil. He was defenseless against the continuing failures that has just cost him $2000.00 in repairs...all which should have lasted a long time out there. Two years ago I bought a used lawn tractor from one of their employees from their front door. The engine ended up having a problem with the carburetor linkage and governor that controls engine speed. I bit the bullet and took it to a lawnmower repair mechanic and after he couldn't figure it out to a john deere dealer ..who said it's a complicated problem and will cost hundreds more to try and fix it. I just threw away $200 trying to get it to run right. Today I found out this Auburn shop also had employed a REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER as a mechanic recently. We discovered this on the local sheriff website. This is a side note for everyone. I AM LIVID!!! I can live with the $1100 loss on the mower. 3 years after the car work I doubt there's any recourse for my son....except for us to let you know what happened to my son and the continued problems and expense he's endured as a result of trusting these people. DON'T BRING YOUR CAR HERE AND DON'T DO BUSINESS HERE. You'll likely be sorry.

I had the unfortunate bad luck of hitting a ladder dropped on the highway in my brand new BMW M4…read more Sadly it took a massive chunk out of the bumper forcing me to have it replaced. I instantly knew my car would never look the same again and sadly, started the grueling search of finding somewhere to "fix" my bumper. I searched many places as I am an absolute maniac about my car and wouldn't take anything less than perfect for quality. After several days of phone calls and visits I discovered Highway Garage. Upon reading their reviews I figured I'd give them a shot, even though I live over 45 minutes away. Thus began my experience... Right off the bat from my phone call to schedule an estimate they already seemed different. The lady who answered my call (sorry I've forgotten your name!) spoke to me like I was a friend she personally knew. I didn't feel like just a customer or a pile of money waiting to go into their pocket, I felt like they actually cared about what I needed done. Then, a few days later I came in for my estimate and met Dan who took care of me during the full process. Right away he told me sadly it would be a full bumper replacement as there was no way to repair a large chunk missing. So right then I knew there was no possible way they would ever be able to match the paint from the factory. The color is a flat grey with a slight glitter in it, definitely not a basic color and DEFINITELY not something just anybody could match. But I reluctantly began the process. They were able to get me in within 3 weeks of my initial quote, and even though I didn't need it, have an enterprise rental facility attached to their building which I thought was very convenient. The day I dropped the car off Dan went as far to take me back into the shop, show me around, and even let me see some before and afters in real life. I will be completely transparent here: I actually didn't believe him on a few of them. They looked way too perfect to be real so I actually got quite skeptical at this point. So naturally, the worry set in. I began asking all sorts of questions from "what paint do you use" to "how much experience do you guys really have painting and matching high end cars". All of which I was given very reassuring answers to. So, I left, and crossed my fingers. One week later, I got the call that my car was done and ready for pickup. I, being a very anxious person, already had all sorts of arguments in my head thought up on how I was going to have them fix it again because I figured surely there was 0 chance they would be able to replace and paint my bumper to match the rest of my car to my standard. Then I showed up.. My first thoughts were "that's not actually my car" and "what did you guys do with my real car" because looking at it, I honestly believed they may have mixed up my car with someone else's. (The bmw dealership is right down the road from them, so in my head this was actually very possible). Not only did my car look as if it was a brand new car on the lot, they actually without my request, had detailed the full exterior and interior to look like new. All sorts of dirt and grime I had dropped it off with were gone and it was about as shiny as can possibly be. So naturally, I had to begin my inspection. I went up and took my flashlight out, started looking over every square inch of the bumper, comparing it to boarding body panels, touching it, looking at all of the other pieces they had to remove, looking at the hood gaps, you name it. I was looking at it. I actually could not tell it was replaced. I couldn't believe it. It was sunny enough out that even in bright light, side by side to my hood and fenders, I couldn't find a damn spot where I could point to and say "ahh I see where you blended it there". It had the flat grey, it has the sparkle, it had the same hue and tint. It looked as if my $100,000 car had just gotten a $1,000,000 paint job. When I say I am picky, I mean I was actually hoping I could find a place I wasn't happy with just so I could prove they had in fact replaced the bumper and not the whole damn car. I couldn't. I am still in awe. So, with all of that being said, if you have ANY sort of body work needed on ANY car, you better call Highway Garage. Every person I encountered there made me feel like I personally was their only customer. They kept me informed all along the way with regular phone calls, talked me through the entire process, and took SO much anxiety off my plate, I am incredibly grateful. Oh, and they worked directly with my insurance company so all I had to do was pay my deductible upon pickup and I was done. No other phone calls or paperwork needed! I hope this review is helpful to people who may be on the fence about this place. I mean it in complete honesty when I say I will never ever go anywhere again. It's not even a question. Good job Dan and crew, you guys and gals deserve this review. Surely you earned it!

Stopped in today to have some work done on my car and was told their policy is if you've done any…read morework yourself on your car such as change the spark plugs done your own oil change or any kind of work on the car that you have touched they will not work on your car for liability reasons. They cited that their shop has been sued multiple times in the past Which makes me wonder what they have done to be sued so many times that they had to create a policy. The gentleman behind the desk and one of the mechanics suggested that I lie in the future about having done any work on my car so they are actually promoting lying and dishonest acts Which further makes me worry about and wonder about their integrity and adds Creedence to the fact that they have been sued multiple times. I would highly recommend trying somewhere else and not doing any business with this place. My father and brother were mechanics and I grew up around a garage and it is worrisome and unethical to turn down work out of fear of being sued again. There are plenty of other garages in the area. I recommend seeking out one of them.
