I had to get someone from the MPLS central office to email the postmaster in order for me to get an answer to my call. Whatever. Then today, I needed my package that was supposed to be delivered today. I live in an apartment wity no parcel locker. All packages are supposed to be sent to the leasing office. I used to be a carrier!!! (for a different office) so I know exactly how sorting parcels for different apartment buildings to go to the leasing office works. It is NOT that hard. My carrier today tried delivering the package to my actual address. FYI, my leasing office won't accept a package with their address, has to be my apartment address. They didn't deliver it and marked it nsl (no safe location). When I went into the office just now to get the parcel, they just told me to come back tomorrow after I waited in line for 10 minutes only to be sent to a different window. Two weeks and I have had nothing but issues with this post office. If you can help it, don't live in the 55403 zip code, because this post office either does not have enough staff (probably for a reason...) or they just don't care about their customers.

The…read morecompany in New Zealand asked that I ship it back and that they would reimburse me for the cost of shipping. I've never shipped anything internationally so I had no idea what I needed to do. One of the great things about living in Hopkins is we have a post office right downtown, so on a Friday morning I biked on over with the things I needed shipped back to New Zealand. I walked to the counter, I was greeted very happily. I explained my situation needing to return things to New Zealand and we joked a bit. He told me exactly what I would need to pay (including the correct envelope). He made it very pain free.

They wouldn't even open the door to answer a question I had about providing the necessary proofs. Luckily the attendant at the front was kind enough to give me a phone number to call later. Quite disappointing

This Saturday, February 21st, I had a package delivered to my parcel box. When I tried using the…read morekey, it wouldn't open the box. I tried multiple times over the weekend, hoping that I'd be able to get it to open, but it didn't work. On Monday, I called and asked if someone could get it open, to that, they said they'd be able to assist me, and I thought my issues were resolved. They were not. I called multiple times again on Tuesday to get the box open, no help from the mail carrier, but I was told on the phone that someone would come over personally and help open the box. I gave the person my cell phone number and my address. No one bother to came by and help. I then called again Wednesday morning. They said that the mail carrier will be able to take my package out of my box and then leave it on my front door. When I return home from work (around 3PM), there is no package on my front step, the box still does not have a key, but the key to open the locker has been removed. I called multiple times to get some help with this and they told me that they delivered the package at 11:30. Their response to this situation is to tell me because the package on my front door is missing that someone stole it. In this neighborhood, there are multiple other homes with packages on their doorsteps and none appear to be missing. I also have never had anyone steal packages before, nor have I heard anything from my neighbors. The parcel box seems to still be locked with no key in sight (assuming no other package has been put in there), I can assure you that no one is stealing my package in my community. The lack of customer service, lack of accountability, the continuous empty promises and lack of reliability with this USPS location and the leadership running this shit show needs some serious attention. Every time I go in person to this branch, people working the counter are extremely rude. There is no redeeming quality about this place.

The location is small but does the job. There's room enough for one employee at the desk at a time and if there had been a line, I can imagine the wait being a little long. I had been putting off sending the package because I didn't have tape, so I went in and asked if they had tape I could use. There's a certain kind of tape they'll let you use for free if you send your package priority and if you don't send priority they have a bunch of packing supplies you can purchase. Not only did I not have tape, but I also hadn't written an address on the package. No problem, he had an address sticker and pen for me. So great. I've never been so unorganized at a postal service counter, but he was very patient with me. I wish I remembered his name, but the man who helped me was SO helpful and kind. On my receipt it says he's Clerk 15. Not once did I feel like I was an inconvenience, and it took maybe 5 minutes. Thanks again Clerk 15!
