It is conducive to a very spiritual practice. I think the Yoga Shala has the two best yoga teachers in Hilo I started with Saturday Ashatanga led classes with Colee once a week at 8 am, and immediately changed my work schedule so I can attend her morning Mysore classes. Colee is an amazing, extremely knowledgeable and beautiful teacher. I have been practicing yoga for over 13 years, and her cues and adjustments have significantly improved my strength, alignment and overall practice even more. I feel and noticed my body dramatically changed since her classes. Kristen Coyle's afternoon vinyasa classes are amazing. I so look forward to her classes. Friends think I am crazy for taking two classes a day, but I hate missing their classes. Kristen has spiritual message at the start of her class that really comes from her heart. She has amazing yoga sequences and no two classes ever feel the same. Sweaty and challenging, the class will keep you engaged and motivated. She never seems to have a bad day, always full of passion and so intuitive and caring in every class, and then..so blissful at end of class. I feel so blessed to have the Shala here in Hilo.

I stopped by an open class to practice certain moves that I had already previously learned that I wanted to find tune. Patrick was super friendly and helpful. The studio was super easy to find. It was really hot which I wasn't used to other studios. I've been to well ventilated places so I found that challenging. I got into the swing of things easily, I took more breaks to make sure I didn't get hot or lightheaded. When I visit Hawaii again I'll be sure to check the studio out. I would love to check out one of their lyra classes and get to know the instructors a little bit more. They also had some shirts and other merch available for purchase which I got one and it looks super cute!
