okkk I wasn't going to make any review but only bc I LITERALLY CAN'T FIX MY HAIR the frustration is real. I went in on my birthday looking to change my hair color (1st pic was my hair before going in 2nd and 3rd pic where my inspos.) I wanted something in between that so like a copper brown. They said they had to bleach my hair which I was okay with despite being sooooo nervous I thought I was in good hands. But this is what I was left with (4th pic and 5th pic) like omgggg actually horrible. I was sitting for 6hrs which wasn't the problem I was trusting the process. BUT MY HAIR IS LITERALLY YELLOW and my roots???? hello??? Lorena (my hairstylist) shouldn't have let me out of her chair with my roots like that I was actually in disbelief when I got home and was actually able to take a good look at my hair. AND THEY STILL CHARGED ME FULL PRICE! Like I said I wasn't going to leave a review or anything but only because I've finally accepted that there's no fixing this but letting my hair grow out. They're work was messy, unprofessional, and rushed they just wanted my money and didn't care about the outcome. 0/10 they're an actual joke for a hair salon DON'T GO!

When I walked in with no reservation the staff was very welcoming. They went above and beyond to accommodate me. I met Diana my hairdresser and not only was she friendly, but to my surprise she made miracles with my hair. I loved the color and cut. I am extremely satisfied and will highly recommend this beautiful salon! Thank you Diana!

I called on a Friday and was able to get an appointment the next day with Denise. I showed her a hair cut and when she started cutting she left it a little long since I was nervous to cut more off. With Denise's recommendation and expertise and my mom saying it was still long around my face and length, I went ahead and agreed to cut more off. It came out pretty amazing! I posted my before and after so that everyone can see the difference. I was also given a treatment before for my split ends. I will definitely be coming back! I highly recommend this hair salon.

This was my very first time dying my hair so I went in for a consultation and the following week I went to get my hair done. My hair stylist Sheyla made my experience wonderful. Everyone was so professional and hospitable. It was easy to make my appointments. The vibe was relaxing. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone looking to get their hair done by experienced professionals! I would rate this salon 100/100!! I loved how my hair came out so I am here back again !

The girl that cut my hair, I believe her name was Jennifer, she was nice but didn't mention her name and just seemed like she rushed through my hair cut. She did a cut, but not the cut that I wanted. I showed her a long wolf cut, I had multiple photos for reference and she only glanced at it once and didn't ask any extra questions. I let her know that I wanted to keep my length but if she needed to cut more for the style it was fine. All she did was trim my hair, give me layers and sorta bangs which she ended up cutting on side shorter than the other. I don't think I'll be coming back here.

Beatriz is a master colorist and stylist! I used to work with her for many years until I left to grow my own business but I still go back to her to do my hair. She's the only person I trust to give me what I want, and I am picky! She prides herself and her business with being up to date on education and the latest trends. I got a haircut by Ana. I showed her photos of what I was inspired by and what I wanted my hair to look like. This included photos of my own hair from my previous haircut at this same salon. It was a cleanup, less than an inch or about an inch to be cut off from my layers and length. She said she could absolutely do it and proceeded with the haircut. Once she finished the cut, she blowdried it, I confirmed the length was good and ready to style. She then said, "Me voy a limpiar poqito y poner texura," I said okay. However, after looking back up, I realized she cut almost all of my length off. Leaving my hair with only an inch and a half all around. She finally finished, I paid, and got into my car and cried. I found a local barbershop to fix this mess as it looked like a chopped up wig. I am absolutely disappointed as I've never had a problem before here. I had to get a mens haircut right after she cut my hair because she left me absolutely awful. MY HAIR DOES NOT CURL AFTER THE HAIRCUT SHE DID. Refund update: After showing my before and after photos to the receptionist, they tried to dismiss me by saying there was nothing they could do until the manager was in. I was distraught and asked them to call as I took my own personal time to resolve this situation as simply as possible. They proceeded to ignore me, and after 5 minutes of me just standing there, Beatriz said "ok im the manager. i dont have time for you right now." They lied to me to try to get me out of the salon. I again asked for a refund and showed images of the bad cut, and they put the blame on me saying "its your fault for asking for a short cut". They had their neice translate for me as I did not speak much spanish, but I understood everything they said. I asked if the haircut was something they were proud of, and they all said no, it was bad after me asking many times. Finally after they all tried blaming me for having "curly and short hair" "and thats why it did not come out right" they agreed to refund me, except a few days later because again "i dont have time for your problem right now". I didnt want to leave without proof that they would honor their word, because I was fighting for them to acknowledge me in the first place, so I asked them for a written statement that they would uphold their promise. They did, and when I simply asked for their names, they again said, "You're asking for too much. Im not telling you." I ended up asking their neice who was sweet through the entire conversation, and she told me her aunt overheard and yelled at her saying "shes asking too much. Why did you tell her our names?" Afterward, I thanked the neice for her time and for being patient the whole time. I then thanked the other 3 salon employees who were trying to ignore me once more for their time and for being cooperative and understanding to my issue and how hair means a lot to people. Instead of being civil after my thanks, they said, "You ask for too much, you wasted my time here," and I left. I honestly was so taken aback through the entire process, If it were not for their nasty attitudes towards clients and post customer care, I would have considered going back after my hair grew back, now that consideration is gone. Thank you to all who read this review, I hope that nobody else goes through this kind of scenario. Nobody deserves to feel like that. Thank you to the salon for refunding me, even if the process to get there was unfavorable. I value your time and hope that your employees do not treat other clients who are unhappy this way.

I've been coming here for about 4 or 5 years. I really love the customer service they provide Betty has helped me get my hair healthy and long. I had a vision and not a lot of time but Denise did such a wonderful job. she asked so many questions which i appreciated because it made me feel as though she truly cared about getting what i wanted right. balayage, wash, cut, as well as a hair treatment. but my fav part was when she gave me a lil scalp massage in the washing bowl. loved and appreciated her time and for squeezing me in not to mention how sweet she was. read more

Betty has been my hairstylist for many years and one of the only hairstylist I trust with my hair. She always does good haircuts, when I need a hair trim she cuts the exact amount. I wanted something darker but light enough to be able to have dark highlights, trim and more layers. I met her a few years back when I first went to the other location when they first open, she is very attentive to details and always gives me exactly what I want. Pictures below are from two times I went for a retouch and haircut this year. This is honestly the best hair salon they use only good hair products and all the girls are so friendly. So unprofessional. I been there before and they do a good job with hair dyes and haircut however now they are so pushy they keep on calling you text you if you are going to show up to the appointment that you made for yourself. They harass you until you confirm with them They need to stop being so pushy! read more

While I've been going here for years I've been overall pleased with the services. However I had a perm by Diana and somehow carelessly the perm solution poured downe my face through my mask. It got on my eyes, nose and mouth. My eyes were terribly burning and I had to go rinse my face and mouth. Not once head I moved my head down as it appears she told the owner Beatrice. She also told her us was only a little bit that fell on my face which was a big lie. Yes she did give me a towel for my face but that was only to wipe my face. Never in my life has this happened to me! And I've had numerous perms since I was a young lady. Now I'm a senior! I don't like how she tried to minimize the amount that came poring down my face no her indication to the owner that I had bent my face forward. Additionally the perm was not what I expected and on the right side there are areas Tha didn't take. Beatriz your response is so phony since you are the one who told Diana to tell I can go somewhere! read more

Where do I begin.... first of all I would not give this place a start but in order to post this review I got to give a star. So before I got there the hairstylist asked me what I wanted by text. I specifically told her I wanted highlights and a haircut. I did let her know that I dyed my hair black so I figured there was no problem. I get there at 1:00 pm and started the process. The whole time she kept reassuring me she knew what she was doing and that it would come out nice. 6:00 pm comes and my hair is orange and she claims she had put a toner in my hair.... I told her I didn't ask for orange I asked for highlights and I reminded her what we had discussed in text and what colors I wanted and she ends up telling me it's a process to get my hair the way I want it. She also goes in to say that I did not mentioned how I wanted my hair even tho I showed her my text.... the owner also did not take initiative and did not offer to fix my hair. They still had the decency to charge me an arm and a leg for her crappy job plus she was rude. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!! Now I have to go fix my hair somewhere else and pay again because I did no pay to look like Chucky! Here I uploaded how I wanted my hair which is the one with highlights.... last time i came in i loved everything so i came back and was matched with a different hair stylist, i could tell she really did try but my bangs were cut uneven and i requested a v shape with long layers and my hair was cut straight across. i didn't even notice until a day later because she didn't show me the back. read more

I love this place! Beatriz has been styling me since 1996! She has made me beautiful since then and has kept my hair healthy, too. I just sit down and hours later --like majic I'm transformed into a better version of me. I always leave the salon with a big smile and can't stop checking myself out in every mirror. I wouldn't think of going any where else. Ana is my second favorite stylist and my daughter loves her too! My sons are super happy with the cuts from Nelson. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE and there over pricing on what is done to your hair . They are very unfair and un reasonable with the work they do for there pricing they charged me 110$ dollars for 65-70$ dollars of work and that does not include the tip the stylist received before being able to notice the little that was done to my hair . After speaking to the owner and her giving the option to add more . I grew weary due to my initial experience and requested a partial refund and she was only willing to refund me 25$ dollars which to me is still very unfair . I have spoken to multiple people who have had there hair done in the same zip code area and they get there whole head died and toned for less that what I paid to just have 5 foils and toner added to the foils . Came back because I did a one star review and got haircut free, but its been months since I got my haircut. It was cute the day of styled. But unfortunately I have to say I hate my hair. I really wish I would of read some of these reviews before I wasted my money and time here. After so long of not being able to dye my hair because I was pregnant I was excited to finally be able to do my hair so I booked an appointment here. Worst mistake of my life. I laugh at the big sign they have in their salon "color experts" hmmm. Okay. Anyway the girl that helped me "Nicole" did a horrible job. I asked for picture 1) and this is how my hair turned out.... picture 2) I REGRET COMING HERE what's even funnier is that she tried to blame my hair for not coming out the way it was suppose to... THIS IS NOT MY FIRST RODEO, I've been doing blonde balayage for YEARS! And NEVER HAVE I HAD SUCH A FUC*** Up experience! The only reason I even came here is because my stylist move so far away from my location! But as I was sitting in the chair all I could think of is how much I REGRET coming here and how much I wish I would of just gone to MY STYLIST! SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING! All these girls do is talk S**** about their customers NO PROFESSIONALISM AT ALL WASTE OF $270.00 for a S*** JOB! Thanks a lot NICOLE Now I can't wait for my hair to heal a little so I can actually go to a "PROFESSIONAL" And please don't waste your time replying and saying something about "fixing" it! Es un requisito que hagas cita, para tintes y demás, sin embargo, no respetan el tiempo que apartaste con anticipación. Ayer, en medio de mi cita, que era para realizar un tinte, poner tratamiento y corte de pelo, Denise atendió otra Sra. la peinó, la maquilló y a mí me terminó lavando el pelo para quitarme el tinte, la secretaria!! Después la secretaria, también me puso el tratamiento y Denise se dedicó a atender a otra clienta en medio de mi cita, le lavó el pelo y se fue a cortarle el cabello y peinarla, ya eran dos personas y yo allí esperando que la reina se desocupara y se dignara a regresar a atenderme; parece que hice cita con la secretaria, muy amable ella, pero la cita no era con ella; entonces, después de tres horas, me cansé que me dejaran allí acostada en esas sillas tan incómodas con la cabeza colgando en ese sink, además ya me dolía la espalda del tiempo que me dejaron allí, pagué la cuenta y me retiré con el cabello mojado y sin cortar, porque Denise se dedicó a atender otras personas en el tiempo que aparte yo, para arreglarme, con días de anticipación. Es una gran falta de respeto al cliente, a su tiempo y a su dignidad y dejarlo a uno allí, viendo como atienden a las personas que acaban de llegar. Me cansé de que me dejaran allí tirada tanto tiempo, me levanté, les pagué y salí con el cabello mojado, escurriendo, enredado por supuesto, y me fui a buscar otro salón donde me terminaran el trabajo y cortarme el pelo, secarlo y peinarlo. I had been going to another hair salon for a few years and I was tired of going far to get a hair cut so I decided to check this hair salon out since I saw great reviews on Yelp. And let me tell you it has been the best decision I made ! Since it is my first time going I called to make an appointment. I had an appointment with Alma. And let me tell you I really fell in love with how Alma left my hair. She is very precise and lets you know if that's the length you want it and so on. She would make sure before cutting my hair. And I showed her a picture of how I wanted my hair and did a fantastic job! Exactly how I wanted my hair! I would definitely recommend her! Other than that I wish I can give this place 10 stars but I can't. I really love this place, and I would recommend this place! I just had a fantastic experience with Betty. i walked in a few 20 minutes late to my appointment due to traffic. They were very understanding since i am aware that time is money. They were very professional but busy which is fine with me. At the end of the hair services i was very pleased with the job done and quality of it. I will be returning to see Betty for more awesome hair services. Just to add to the review, it is a shame that some folks walked in the same day with such an awful attitude of entitlement. For some folks it is hard to understand that the hairstylist do not make miracles. If you bring a photo of Eva Mendez haircut and you look like Paquita La Del Barrio, you will NOT look like Eva Mendez after your haircut. Have respect and behave accordingly. if you walk in with a really bad attitude and such as high expectation that not even Houdini can perform YOUR miracle, save time and money and work on your inner beauty. There hasn't been another hair stylist that fulfills my expectations other than Beatriz and Betty.. I've been coming here for many years. Beatriz has always been my number one. Gave myself the chance to let a new pair of hands to style my hair coming across Betty and Yep no need to go elsewhere. I drive from ELA to Downey every month. What makes them special is they always confirm before they make a move where my bad experiences else where, have just assumed' they know and get it wrong leaving you with several days feeling bummed, until your color/hair grows back to be able to give it another chance. This is my go to salon and my pair of stylist. Love that they work as a team and always looking out for their customers satisfaction. I have been coming to this salon for several years. I do make my appointments because I am a super busy person. So far, I have been getting services as soon as I walk in. I like the service experience because people are friendly and polite. I will highly recommend people to bring pictures when they want to get a specific haircut. I see some customers expecting that the stylists guess what they have in their mind. You should know that nobody is a mind reader. Be smart! There is nothing like a picture. I will also say that if you want a cheap haircut, go to another hair salon. If you want quality, you need to pay for it. That is why I will continue coming to this location. I've been going to Evolution Hair Salon for four years now, and every visit is a wonderful experience! Olga, my hairstylist, always does an amazing job. I recently had a hair color retouch and leave-in treatment, and as always, the results were perfect. The staff, including Marce at the front desk, is consistently friendly and welcoming. I would rate this salon a 5 stars but recently they lost one of their best hairstylist. I had been going to Diana J for years even before they moved to the new location. I had an appointment scheduled with her before Covid19 and through out the lockdown they kept texting me trying to reschedule me with another stylist, I called to see if I would be able to get her info but again they insisted I booked with someone else.
