okkk I wasn't going to make any review but only bc I LITERALLY CAN'T FIX MY HAIR the frustration is real. I went in on my birthday looking to change my hair color (1st pic was my hair before going in 2nd and 3rd pic where my inspos.) I wanted something in between that so like a copper brown. They said they had to bleach my hair which I was okay with despite being sooooo nervous I thought I was in good hands. But this is what I was left with (4th pic and 5th pic) like omgggg actually horrible. I was sitting for 6hrs which wasn't the problem I was trusting the process. BUT MY HAIR IS LITERALLY YELLOW and my roots???? hello??? Lorena (my hairstylist) shouldn't have let me out of her chair with my roots like that I was actually in disbelief when I got home and was actually able to take a good look at my hair. AND THEY STILL CHARGED ME FULL PRICE! Like I said I wasn't going to leave a review or anything but only because I've finally accepted that there's no fixing this but letting my hair grow out. The girl that cut my hair, I believe her name was Jennifer, she was nice but didn't mention her name and just seemed like she rushed through my hair cut. She did a cut, but not the cut that I wanted. I showed her a long wolf cut, I had multiple photos for reference and she only glanced at it once and didn't ask any extra questions. I let her know that I wanted to keep my length but if she needed to cut more for the style it was fine. All she did was trim my hair, give me layers and sorta bangs which she ended up cutting on side shorter than the other. I don't think I'll be coming back here. read more

I went to this hair salon because of the reviews on yelp. I should have walked out when I realized they only spoke Spanish. Ana was the hairdresser that was assigned to cut my hair. It was explained to her how I wanted it cut. She kept cutting and cutting. She had no idea how to style my hair and it definitely didn't look how I wanted it. The only saving grace is they didn't make me pay. I can only hope it grows out in a few months. read more

I got a haircut by Ana. I showed her photos of what I was inspired by and what I wanted my hair to look like. This included photos of my own hair from my previous haircut at this same salon. It was a cleanup, less than an inch or about an inch to be cut off from my layers and length. She said she could absolutely do it and proceeded with the haircut. Once she finished the cut, she blowdried it, I confirmed the length was good and ready to style. She then said, "Me voy a limpiar poqito y poner texura," I said okay. However, after looking back up, I realized she cut almost all of my length off. Leaving my hair with only an inch and a half all around. She finally finished,  I paid, and got into my car and cried. I found a local barbershop to fix this mess as it looked like a chopped up wig. I am absolutely disappointed as I've never had a problem before here. I had to get a mens haircut right after she cut my hair because she left me absolutely awful. MY HAIR DOES NOT CURL AFTER THE HAIRCUT SHE DID. Refund update: After showing my before and after photos to the receptionist,  they tried to dismiss me by saying there was nothing they could do until the manager was in. I was distraught and asked them to call as I took my own personal time to resolve this situation as simply as possible.  They proceeded to ignore me, and after 5 minutes of me just standing there, Beatriz said "ok im the manager. i dont have time for you right now." They lied to me to try to get me out of the salon. I again asked for a refund and showed images of the bad cut, and they put the blame on me saying "its your fault for asking for a short cut". They had their neice translate for me as I did not speak much spanish, but I understood everything they said. I asked if the haircut was something they were proud of, and they all said no, it was bad after me asking many times. Finally after they all tried blaming me for having "curly and short hair" "and thats why it did not come out right" they agreed to refund me, except a few days later because again "i dont have time for your problem right now". I didnt want to leave without proof that they would honor their word, because I was fighting for them to acknowledge me in the first place, so I asked them for a written statement that they would uphold their promise. They did, and when I simply asked for their names, they again said, "You're asking for too much. Im not telling you." I ended up asking their neice who was sweet through the entire conversation, and she told me her aunt overheard and yelled at her saying "shes asking too much. Why did you tell her our names?" Afterward, I thanked the neice for her time and for being patient the whole time. I then thanked the other 3 salon employees who were trying to ignore me once more for their time and for being cooperative and understanding to my issue and how hair means a lot to people. Instead of being civil after my thanks, they said, "You ask for too much, you wasted my time here," and I left. I honestly was so taken aback through the entire process, If it were not for their nasty attitudes towards clients and post customer care, I would have considered going back after my hair grew back, now that consideration is gone. Thank you to all who read this review, I hope that nobody else goes through this kind of scenario. Nobody deserves to feel like that. Thank you to the salon for refunding me, even if the process to get there was unfavorable. I value your time and hope that your employees do not treat other clients who are unhappy this way. read more

I went with a new hairstylist, Dennise, and she did a hair shampoo treatment every relaxing. I got the "V" layers hair cut and she did an amazing job. I am extremely happy with my cut. Before Dennise I had Lorena cut my hair once and she left a random part of my hair shorter than the rest of my hair. I wasn't happy with the job Lorena did on my hair. read more

My daughter made a consultation appointment and I went with her. We walked in and she told the receptionist her name. At that point we were just standing as 2 hair stylist were speaking Spanish back and forth as to which one of them was going to help us. It was clear that they didn't want our business. They kept going back thinking we didn't understand Spanish. I clearly understood everything they said and then they continued; I went ahead and spoke to them in Spanish and told them I had understood everything they had said. They tried to explain but at that point I was done and we walked out. Very unprofessional to assume that your customers don't understand Spanish when I am Cuban and I understood it all. Just because my daughter has an American last name. After reading some of these reviews, it's seems as though they have a bad reputation. They are known to be unwelcoming and unprofessional. Im not an happy customer It was my first time coming to this salon in hopes that i found a new place the lady that chatted with me originally was very helpful making me feel I was in the right place she asked for a picture of my hair and foe me to show a pic of the the style i was admiring on there instagram page she sched me with the exact hair stylish that did the hairdo ironically she count repeat the same hairstyle after 6 hours sitting in the chair and my hair coming out with several highlights she mentioned that the picture that she supposedly did that client had color correction before her doing her color and thats why her hair looked better then mine came out??? She talk to me about a money piece and when showed me a picture inside the salon which i never got? My was in great condition when i came in as i do take care of my hair my hair has been processed quite a bit so Im dealing with a little dryness she even called another lady over to ask me if i was happy and told me after a few washing my hair will look better 335.00 plus tip didn't leave there feeling great about my hair I was lucky to just be dealing with little dryness which i have treatment for that could have been worse so just be aware that you wont get the picture of the hairdo you are showing them Im not angry but I wont be going back here hopefully this helps the next person that considered this salon ‍ read more

Laura was super sweet but the treatment she said was $35!!!! And she would leave it on for 10 mins she said I needed it. She left it on for like 2 Mins! Eh hair feels the same ends where taken off. If I would give this salon no stars I would !!! I am very heated and bothered I spoke to Jennifer February 19 to see if she can do my hair obviously I have black hair and she recommended to come in the salon to get a test done to see if I can achieve my hair goal. I called to see if I can go in right now at 1:20 And the manager Beatriz answered me and said okay come at 1:30 . I told her I spoke to Jennifer can she do it for me ? And she said I'll do it for you !! keep in mind I don't live in Downey California. It took me 35 minutes to get to the salon . I get there and Beatriz told me we have you scheduled for 1:30 what happened I said I don't live down the block but I'm here. Keep in mind when I called it was 1:20 . Then I hear Beatriz talk to the other workers to see who's willing to do my hair test and all three lady's said no! I'm not gonna do that. Then they wanna be fake to me so one lady helped me her name is Olga and I told her I already spoke to Jennifer can she help me and she's like yea that's fine with me sorry for the misunderstanding I told her it's okay it's not your fault I talked to your manager Beatriz directly. I'm sitting here and I still hear them talk badly about me . At this point I would just get up and leave but I have three pieces of hair with bleach so I don't wanna risk it . Jennifer wants to charge me 480 for a color correction! She didn't even know what she wanted to charge me she had to ask her monkey looking manager Beatriz!!! Jennifer left my hair like that she didn't even paint my hair back to the color I originally had!! So unprofessional! They don't even offer you water no type of WiFi your phone service sucks there by the way! They all act all bougie cause they work in Downey and can't even speak English properly! It's unfortunate that many of these post are negative, but I'd like to shed light on a positive one regarding my haircut with Jennifer. She by far has the best hands with scissors. She always gives me exactly what I want and shares tips on how to maintain my hair healthy.
