We have been here a few times because it's so close but the service has always been horrible. This time we ordered beers ahead of time because we knew they wouldn't come any time during the movie. I noticed one bottle seemed smaller than the others but when I got the bill they charged me the same. I wasn't thrilled. read more

EVO Cinemas - 4 12 oz and one 7 oz. not cool EVO! - Cinema Near Me - Austin, Texas

Seats recliner did not work and tried two other seats none of them worked. Ordered food, got the drinks right away, fries took 30 mins and had to ask the server twice only to be brought cold fries. For the price you pay, it was not worth at all. read more

My son and his friend went. They had a great time and the food was good. Diego was very helpful to them since they are teenagers and needed a little guidance. read more

It's a cool theater! It's huge and has a lot of screens! The staff was very nice! Just a little dirty, but overall really good! Drinks are a bit expensive read more

See all

Went to see Twisters tonight in theater #8. The screen wasn't very bright. The daytime scenes looked to be at dusk. I went to the snack bar and asked a staff member if they could brighten the screen. They said no, there wasn't a way to increase the brightness. I asked if this is a common complaint and was told it was. read more

I read some Yelp reviews after buying tickets yesterday - yikes! Could the place use some TLC? Yeah, some new carpet is needed in places and some grease for the chair mechanisms would be good. We did see two moths, but at that point it was kinda funny given our expectations of full-on infestation. Staff was super friendly though, and the way the service was working was great. read more

Another awesome experience here. Small IMAX screen, but doesn't really matter cause it has fantastic projection and really comfy seats. New fave theater in Austin. read more

We want to love EVO in Belterra, as it's close to our neighborhood, but they don't make it easy! After a long day, we were looking forward to having a beer and watching a movie. The first several beers we ordered were out, and the ones we ended up with weren't cold. (And they weren't busy.). The ladies room was dirty... looked like it hadn't been cleaned recently. The mat in front of the sink is past cleaning... just throw it away, EVO. My husband's description of the men's room isn't printable, but to summarize, it was gross. Unfortunately, this is status quo for this location. I think we're done trying to love EVO. read more

Went to this theater the for the first time this evening and I was SHOCKED at how dirty/gross it was. Ordered a drink and the glass had existing lip marks on it. Went to the bathroom and there was trash/toilet paper everywhere, water and pee on the floor of almost every stall. All of the soap dispensers were empty as was the hand sanitizer. And this was the case before and after my movie. No napkins or paper towels (in bathroom or at the register). Floors were sticky throughout the building. Totally understand that humans can be disrespectful in businesses and it's not always on the business, but everywhere I turned in this place looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in weeks. read more

When movie tickets get so outrageous! It cost us $50 for 2 tickets, a popcorn and a drink. And now you have to walk into arcade and other crap. Will just wait for movies to come to the small screen read more

For as long as Evo has took over the cinema in belterra we have seen more and more bugs flying around while watching the movies we paid to watch and not knowing if anyone of those bugs have landed in our food. This building is a breeding ground and the staff or maintenance personal has not done anything to fix the situation read more

EVO Cinemas - Small moths that work for Evo cinemas - Cinema Near Me - Austin, Texas

Pretty disappointed in this theater overall. I believe they can be so much more... maybe it's leadership, maybe it's owners, not sure! Not sure why they removed have service at your seats? No one wants to have to go back to the concession stands to get another beer or a glass of wine. And now they have changed the menu and it's only prepared foods or fried foods? No Bueno! You still have a chance here... but until y'all figure out which direction you are going, I will go to the movie house and eatery. read more

Hands down THE WORST theatre I've ever been in. Over priced goods at the concession stand and hella unsanitary. The theatre had so many bugs/mosquitoes flying around in the air that we had to leave because of how uncomfortable we were. I tried to ignore them (the bugs) and tie up my hoodie to protect me from getting bitten but then the concern of them flying into my frozen marg and popcorn wouldn't escape my mind. Also, highly suggest never getting the watermelon frozen marg-- DISGUSTING. read more

EVO Cinemas - Watermelon Frozen Margarita - Cinema Near Me - Austin, Texas

Food is terrible Other than the $15 ticket, I paid $46 for 2 margs and a 10" pizza. Margs good. Pizza? Cold and looking like some sad frozen pizza. Alamo Darfthouse this isn't. So, WWYD? Ask for another pizza? Ask for a refund? Why bother? I know if I ask for another pizza, I'll get spit in it. If I ask for a refund, I'll get hassled. So, I'll just leave this review. You've been warned. read more

Bought tickets for my movie which was SUPPOSED to start at 5:15pm. Over 30 minutes of watching straights ads (not even upcoming movies) we finally had the movie start. This is WILDLY ridiculous. I'll never come back to this theater again. read more

What a great theater! Sleek and well designed, they have everything you want - comfy reclining seats, expanded menus but the jewel in this crown is Melissa Johnson. Besides being outgoing and personable, she went above and beyond to make my experience exceptional. This will definitely be my go-to movie theater from now in. read more

Quality of food was consistent with cheap, bad fast food. Quality of screen/projection was surprisingly disappointing - not bright and distracting pattern is visible in flat colors. Be aware - no longer service in theater - must return to concession line for more food or beverage. Out of most of the salads at 6:45 pm showing. After purchase, they determined they were sold out of the one I selected also so had to substitute with another but did not refund the difference. Tap beer list on menu was outdated, so had to try to read the taps themselves to understand the options. read more

Would have given this theater -5 stars if I could have. Quite possibly the worst, and I mean the worst, customer service I've witnessed ever. My daughter bought tickets earlier today for a 7:45 showing of Boys In The Boat. We went to a restaurant close by the theater that we probably would not have gone to except for the movie. Got to the theater, bought treats (7 people in our party), went to the specific room and no one there and nothing happening. Went back to talk to someone and found out that room #5 was out of order for some reason and the movie would not be showing. No text, phone call, email, nothing to tell us that the movie would not be playing. The manager was unprofessional, but did refund our ticket money and refreshments. Not one of us will return. Unbelievable experience! read more

They would not provide refund - when we had bought online tickets - got to theater and closed- went by - no refund but rather substitute two passes - we'll just looked every movie showing says "no passes allowed " what lousy customer service read more

This cinema used to be an independent operation called "Sky Cinema," and it was fantastic! Sky Cinema was a gift from Heaven! Not only did it enable people who lived in and around Dripping Springs to see a movie without having to travel 20+ miles, but it had multiple, comfortable stadium-style theaters, really good food (with good gluten-free options) AND an excellent beer menu, with nearly 30 options a to choose from, including multiple Texas craft beers. It was a much-loved local business. Emphasis on the word "was." Dripping Springs Cinema was an early victim of the pandemic and the business-killing lockdown. 4 months into the pandemic, they announced that they had no choice but to shut down. It was a sad day. But, at least the cinema was going to re-open, but under new management. The facility was purchased by a cinema chain, "EVO Entertainment," and let me honestly say, it's not worth the money you'll spend to go to the movies Very bland food, a limited beer and cocktail menu, and friendly but so-so service. Combined with the $100+ you'll likely spend for a family of 3-4, a d you're better off with NetFlix. Or, eat somewhere else, THEN go see a movie. read more

This place sucks do not come here ever.I have terrible service they don't accept cash they do they don't go here ever!!!!!!!!!!

Over priced concessions. That I never recieved. Staff is not trained and not managed. I will make the drive to Regal or Cinamark next time. 1 star for sound system. read more

Movie theater was great and clean. Johnny was at the front and was a great help and made sure the food was excellent.

Great place. Never knew there was a national cinema day until Johnny mentioned it to us. Definitely will return

This is one of my favorite Evo locations! The staff is super friendly, theaters are clean and have really nice reclining chairs.

Great customer service helping me put together a super fun birthday for an 11 year old :)

Every time I go to this theater it is closed. When are they open? This is the message you get : No showtimes available Maybe bankrupt from no service, maybe same owner as Good Time Grill as they are never open for business. read more

Hoping this would be like the EVO in Kyle or San Marcos only to be let down. The tickets are cheap but I guess it's true you pay for what you get. This theater has some work to do especially since it's now an EVO. There are no buttons to push so that the wait staff can come when you need something. Granted they do come at the beginning of the movie to start off but other than that it would be nice to have a button to notify when needed. The screens in the movie theater are trash. They are so dark and when watching a movie that has a lot of nighttime based scenes it would be nice to see what is going on. Other than that the staff is friendly but the theater itself needs some work if it wants to stay afloat. read more

Great pizza great service only complaint is the moths. Plus for me it's 5 minutes away

Loved everything about this place except...the worker kept interrupting us during the climax of the movie for our payment! She must've come in and stood in front of us tapping the receipt thing at least 5 times! Just be patient and let us finish the damn movie and we will pay when it's over! Either let people buy drinks and snacks before they go into the movie or let them order, order some more and bring the ticket when the movie ends. I can't even see what card I'm pulling out to pay with. Everything else is 5 star though. Seats are comfy, facility is very clean and movie tickets are cheap. Snacks are expensive but refills are included which is a plus. Oh, and not busy at all. read more

Pandering to PRIDE and Marxist ideology. Every single commercial. Disappointing. Food is bad bar food at best. Won't be returning.

Nice ambience and reasonably priced, but it is filthy. They need to do a better job cleaning. The entire theatre and facility were dirty.

When we got to our theater, there was popcorn all over the seat and tray. Food is extremely overpriced which is normal for a theater, but the theater's cleanliness was a disappointment. read more

So sad that our neighborhood movie theatre has gone so down hill. We went to a movie a month ago and had the worst service ever. Girl took our order and then never brought it to us. About half movie was over when she came to ask if we needed anything else? Yes...our lunch. She forgot to order it. Then when she finally delivered it and ran away...we had no silver ware or napkins. And we noticed that there were little moths flying around the theatre everywhere. Very distracting during a film. This time, our last chance visit. Everything went wrong. Service was better but food was terrible. Just not prepared well. Chicken used in salad was sparse and poor quality. When I went to bathroom , no toilet paper. Then our server came to our table 4 times to ask if we had signed our ticket yet. Really? We haven't cuz we are watching the movie. and yes...little moths flying around the theatre. We won't be back. That was last chance. Hoping the movie house and eatery buys you out. Adios. read more

The seats in the movie theather are reasonably comfortable, and the food is pretty good! But one of the times we went there the chairs and the pull out board was all sticky! Then another time we went there, we saw a whole nest of nats! They were flying everywhere and also in front of the screen! I hope they fix this problem, and the other problem of low on staff! I rate this place a two stars! read more

The staff were very nice and tried to be helpful, BUT the food was not good and both my husband and I felt sick a few hour later. Additionally I went to use the ladies room which was sopping wet from mopping and the toilets looked like they hadn't been cleaned in moths. It was disgusting. I just waited until we got home. Sky Cinemas was great. Evo is really lacking. Very disappointed. read more

Sorry the Sky Cinemas had to close. Hopeful that EVO Entertainment would step in to fill the small theatre gap in Belterra area. Sad news folk- EVO is worse than a drive-In movie theater on steroids. No main bar, no lobby/lounge area to sit and mingle, no sign of life to get a drink or food. Seats are NOT automated for food service. Staff barely understands how they function. Never coming back until I see EVO sign is gone. Alamo Drafthouse and other options way better. Don't spend a $$ at this poorly run establishment. read more

My wife and I have been to this theatre 2-3 times each month since it reopened. We've always found the facility to be clean, the staff friendly & helpful, and the popcorn fresh. The reclining seats are very comfortable, and the beer is cold. We're happy to have a good theatre in the neighborhood, less than 10 minutes from our house. read more

If you're considering going here, don't. We went out to the theater for the first time since Covid and it was a HUGE disappointment. First, they had a limited menu available because of staffing shortages but didn't say so on the website. So we showed up at dinner time and hungry, but after seeing the people in front of us walk away with limp brown salads out of the refrigerator we decided to pass on food. We went straight to the theater and it was a mess. Dirty glasses at our seats, trays hadn't been wiped, even the chairs were covered in grease and food. The floors everywhere are covered in popcorn and who knows what else. I left feeling like I needed a shower. The movie was good, I just wish we'd seen it somewhere else. read more

I so want our "local" theatre to be great as my family loves movies and loves the theater. We have gone 3 times to this EVO and each time the food is either awful or a meal not delivered at all. I have held off on a review each time because of how incredibly difficult these Covid times must be for theaters, but I am writing this now to help set my fellow customer's expectations. This theater gets 1 star for the food and 3-4 as a theater so I split the difference in the overall rating. Please do go to this theater to watch a movie as you would a movie theater that does not serve meals, but do not go to order food. I suggest planning to go early enough to get some popcorn and a drink ahead of sitting down because the service/system is poor enough that it disrupts the movie experience. The employees seem to care, but something in the training or system does not allow for adequate food ordering, preparing, and delivery in the theater. The theater itself is clean, the seats are comfortable, and the technology (projection/sound/etc.) is solid. read more
