From the moment she walked in to my treatment room, I was struck by her warmth and genuine patience. It felt as though I had known her for years, a testament to her exceptional ability to connect with her patients on a personal level. Having received Botox injections for over a decade In San Francisco, Beverly Hills, NYC and Seattle, I thought I had already discovered the pinnacle of expertise. That was until I met Alison. Her skill and precision in administering injections are unparalleled. Not only did she achieve stunning results with fewer units than I was used to, but she also managed to do so at a more affordable price. This efficiency and effectiveness clearly showcase her deep knowledge and mastery in the field. I also have had friends go to her for micro-needling. They were super enthusiastic about it and said it caused their skin to start doing its own thing by making new cells to make them look younger. By the way, nothing Alison does ever hurts! Not even a little bit. I don't even flinch when she does it because she is so gentle. It's no surprise that Alison excels, given her affiliation with Dr. Baxter, a renowned plastic surgeon whose reputation as one of the best in the US is well-deserved. Alison's remarkable talent and keen eye for detail reflect the high standards set by Dr. Baxter's practice. If you're looking for an aesthetic injector who combines expertise with a personal touch, Alison is the one to see. Her approach has elevated my cosmetic treatments, and I couldn't be happier with the results!

Doctor #1: Refused to send me to Physical Therapy- said wouldn't help at all, in fact make the situation worse. Instead recommended a $600 out of pocket treatment that did zero to help. Saw another doctor at another clinic that did end up sending me to PT. PT gave me back my mobility and decreased pain. Doctor # 2: Given outdated and unnecessary paperwork to complete (according to my insurance and the UW customer service)- haven't these people bothered to check in the last 4 years what papers are in patient care packets? Called in for a serious reaction after surgery- could be blood clots they said. Then said would set up appointment for procedure to check on possible clots (their words, "possible blood clots")....still waiting....sent email asking about appointment...still waiting on response. Guess I'll be going to the ER to get this checked on then? Why put the idea of blood clots in my mind and then drop the follow-up to get me seen for this life threatening condition? Customer representatives when you call into the clinic are rude, curt and useless. When I have been in the waiting room, have heard them taking about patients, mocking them and making fun. Shame on you making fun of sick people in pain.

Bad news, I needed surgery, but good news, Dr. McInnes and his nurse, Dee, are super nice, as is everybody else I have interacted with at the clinic (another nurse, Angie, and all the receptionists). Dr. McInnes and Dee have both taken the time to answer all my questions, and the doctor went out of his way to explain things to me after surgery *and* in my next appointment--just in case I had missed anything in my post-surgery stupor. He drew pictures, and even showed me some photos he took of my little bone fragments with his iPhone (not kidding). He's done a great job of explaining everything to me very clearly, making sure I understood, and making sure I was as comfortable as possible with everything. (For example, I have a pin in my toe that will be removed later, and he modified the dressing a little bit so the pin would be covered because I was nervous about having the end exposed. He also gave me a new prescription for pain meds the first time I saw him, because the Vicodin the ER gave me was giving me a lot of nausea.) On the down side, you have to pay for parking, but again on the plus side, when I left today, the parking lady gave me a jar of blackberry jam! What!!! That's not even possible. BUT IT IS, and I have the jam to prove it.

Let's start by myself being questioned why we were at "this" ER, instead of an ER that we prior visited earlier in the day... well this ER was closer to our home, we needed immediate medical attention, it was getting late and the first discharge paperwork stated to return to ER immediately if having problems.... Overall Why does it matter?... I'm in the middle of trying to get care for my wife who has extremely complex and acute conditions and we were disrespected at every step of our visit. I took us to what a thought was a professional medical facility with professionally trained medical staff that respected patients and took their jobs seriously. We were viewed as drug-seeking from what I can tell, as that could be the only explanation for the treatment we have received, and that is just unacceptable. The team did not listen to me, the caregiver of the patient, and against my direction made numerous mistakes that led to further patient harm and distress. Starting with in the waiting room, my wife had to be assisted to a recovery position on the floor so she did not fall out of her wheelchair due to active seizures - staff approached us and said we could not be on the floor and she had to get up. At this time my wife was in the middle of seizures, unable to communicate, understand, or control her own body. I had to argue for them to even listen and they left, clearly frustrated - but not offering any help. Later the same nurse came out saying they had a bed - my wife was still on the floor and unable to utilize her strength to move herself. The care staff then asked, "what do you want us to do?" I thought that hospital staff are trained to help patients off the floor from falls and etc, so I literally said, "are you not trained to help a patient off the floor?". After they finally sent out staff to assist me in picking my wife up to get her to the room, they literally asked me to open their medical cabinet to grab IV and blood draw equipment - I am not a medical staff at UW - that is totally unacceptable - again! What procedures are in place to ensure these numerous mistakes are not made over and over? It is a harm to patients, patient families, and the community. It's crazy how those most vulnerable and dependent upon intensive medical care, are treated the worst by the medical staff they rely upon. One of the first things I said is to not use her left arm due to the series of conditions that will make it difficult, if not impossible to get a line. Well you can clearly see they did not listen and blew her vein out. We followed up with our primary doctor at UW who was horrified at the care we received. Let's just end with although this is the closest ED to our home we will take the risk and drive to the next one. We have reached out to patient relations numerous times with no response. It seems that they are more concerned about google reviews here than good patient practices and may finally get back to us here?????????

Overall, if the reviews left by others are half way accurate there are many holes in their system of care that desperately need to be addressed--and corrected! I was treated well and was attended to in short time. I came in with a bloody injury on my ankle that was visible as I wrapped it in a white towel and put clear packing tape on it. In other words, I had a visible blood-soaked injury showing. So maybe that had something to do with the speed of their treatment. I also brought with me a large Ikea plastic bag filled with towels if the bleeding started again, some of which were heavily blood stained. The only reason I sought care at the ER was on the advisement of the nurse hotline who gave me a course of action to follow; I needed a tetanus and a medical provider to lay eyes on the wound. There was mention of admitting me to the hospital, which seemed overkill, so I told them I had to get to work and was already late. From my family group history, I know that this emergency room saves lives (when an ambulance arrives at the back with a patient about to expire). So, those providing trauma care don't let people die!

He was at Minor and James in Seattle for a good long while before a shakeup at Swedish caused many of the best doctors to seek other options. Dr. Verrilli helped me with every imaginable problem, from car accident injuries, to the pneumonia I got annually for the last decade of my teaching career, and when necessary, he also sent me to some outstanding specialists. But the thing I credit him with most of all was diagnosing and developing a plan when my husband showed up in his office in March 2004 complaining of stomach pains and weight loss. Some guys would've handed him a few antacids and sent him on home, but Dr. Verrilli ordered blood work, endoscopy, colonoscopy all stat. Sure enough, it turned out to be stomach cancer. It was a rough period, but my guy recovered because of the attention he gave to my spouse's case and the diligence with which he checked in on him in the hospital, even though we had the oncologist (best in the city, again thanks to Dr. V), the surgeon, and a host of others. When the ball got dropped at one point by hospital staff that hadn't started an IV after several hours, Dr. Verrilli raised holy hell (fairly politely) and made sure treatment was provided promptly and correctly. I genuinely think we owe my husband's life to this talented, caring physician. Things to know: on your first visit, he's going to whip through a list of routine but necessary questions. He does this quickly, not because he has no patience, but because he wants it out of the way so that most of your appointment time can be used for whatever it is you came in for. When in doubt, he orders tests. He explains everything, and if you miss something, ask and he'll explain it again, differently if necessary. He works fast while he's in there with you, and that's why you are getting seen promptly, or very close to it. He wants to deal with your concern within your allotted time so that the person after you gets seen promptly, too. He is almost the only doctor out of the dozens I have seen in my many years in Seattle that will apologize if you have had to sit for an unplanned ten minutes waiting for him to come in and examine you. The guy has integrity. During times when one or the other of us was pretty sick but not hospitalized, he would either have someone on his staff call to check on us at home, or he would pick up the phone and do it himself. We would still be seeing Dr. V, even though it now means a drive from South Seattle clear up to freaking Shoreline, but our employment changed and now we have to use Kaiser Permanente doctors, which Dr. Verrilli is not. But you just cannot find a more conscientious and knowledgeable doctor anywhere. Highly recommended.
