Came here for Sunday brunch last weekend. We made a reservation on line (highly recommend as they get busy) The view is absolutely stunning! We ordered the bottomless mimosas ($15) there are 4 flavors: Orange, Pineapple, Cranberry & Grapefruit. I like that you are able to alternate between flavors at your leisure, the orange and pineapple were our favorites. Our server and other waitstaff were super attentive on filling up our mimosas and waters. I ordered the fried chicken eggs Benedict with jalapeño hollandaise, I wish there was a little bit more of the hollandaise but my eggs were cooked perfectly and the presentation is super pretty. My friend ordered the bayside breakfast that comes with almond flour pancakes, she was super excited as she is gluten-free, so this was a real treat for her. The bathrooms were also very clean and hand sanitizer is available throughout the restaurant. They are limiting reservations to an hour and a half, and STRICTLY monitoring this we were given a 10 minute warning & had to chug our last mimosa lol read more

The best thing on the food menu are their French fries. They have a hard time with other foods. Chicken wings are always cold and seem to come from the smallest chickens they can find. Almost would say they are using quails. Lol Drinks are strong. For the most part tasty. They use the the drinks to keep people there. Bar set is is decent. Only have one real good bartender. Second time having brunch at this restaurant and I can say that I would recommend it. Price is $50 for Sunday brunch with Saturday being a la carte. Unlimited mimosas would have to be added separately for $15 per person for both options. With a great view, nice staff and good food I would definitely come again. I have referred several people who have come to the area and so far they have all enjoyed their experience. I would suggest you go earlier to fully enjoy your visit and be aware that due to the popularity of this restaurant you have a 2 hour dining window. read more

The place was packed! We had a great table with a view of the estuary. Even a place for 8 month old Baby M. A small selection of salad, which was fine. The steamer trays were loaded up with Roasted broccolini, Home fries, Sausage n' biscuits, Fried fish, Fried chicken and waffles, Carved roast beef, and Dungeness crab. There's an omelette station and a host of deserts. $35, plus 15% gratuity is well worth the price for all-you-can-eat for the Roast beef and Crab alone. Attentive and helpful service. Wow wow wow in a really bad way. Had the MOST UNWELCOME experience simply walking in here. It was pouring heavy rain, low visibility, and my Uber driver kindly pulled up to the restaurant as close as he could so I wouldn't get soaked walking into Eve's. As I got out of the car, a man ran up screaming and cursing at me and the driver, "this isn't a f-ing driveway! Go over there and find a parking spot! Stupid sh*t!" Yelling at the top of his lungs and making angry gestures. Turns out this man works at Eve's either as a host or restaurant manager. And he thinks it's acceptable to speak to customers this way. It was a genuine mistake made by the driver. Why the need to yell at a customer who wasn't driving the car? There is no need to storm towards the car angrily and use curse words. He could have communicated politely, but since he was so hostile it left a bad taste in my mouth. I had no appetite after that so took my party over to Belcampo's, where the employees are friendly. Sadly, I had heard wonderful things about Eve's hospitality and didn't get to experience it. If the restaurant cares, the man was a very tall, lanky white guy. This is a hidden Gem. There is a free parking lot in front of the restaurant. The ambiance and architecture is lovely with full height windows overlooking the nice waterway and Alameda. The main server Jules E. provided top notch services from beginning to the end in every steps. We tried ribs, dockside Dungy, waterfront Salad with fish, And Calamari. We definitely recommend waterfront salad with red snapper and the beef ribs. With super water view, friendly and efficient services, fair price, it is hard to believe for sat lunch besides 3 group parties, there are only 2 private tables occupied. 5/5 read more

This was a yacht club brunch. We choose this restaurant since it was right on the water. And we use to meet here years ago. New ownership, new venue, new everything. There were 20 of us & one waiter, 2 helpers or floaters. They added an extra waiter later. It was painfully slow. Yes, we did have water, and then drink & coffee orders trickled in. I had the bottomless mimosa which is a deal if you are planning on having more than 1. Then the menu was heavy on southern seafood with a twist. I was disappointed that for a brunch menu there was only one Eggs Benedict, w/fried chicken. No substitutes they said. OK, it looked good but the fried chicken was dry, tough & could have been anything. A friend whipped out a large pocket knife to do the hard work, wish I had one, then you had to chew it....although another dish of smoked salmon was good I was told, the Eggs Benny dish was a deal breaker. I would not consider coming here if brunch was on your mind. This was on a Sat. On Sun they have a real Brunch Buffet @ $50. W/special cocktail. Wild horses could not pull me here, for these prices, facing more fried anything. They also had live music which was fairly loud & without carpet or other soft surfaces to absorb it, it was difficult to have a conversation without shouting. Maybe they will take this to heart, & I will try again. But not for now.....skip it. Update 2.9.20 Brunch ! Much better food! Fried chicken Bennie's were great! Really enjoyed myself today. Place has its own parking lot so didn't have to worry about finding a place to park. The inside is really nice. All wood furnishing including the vaulted ceilings give this place a nice sophisticated feeling. We came for the Sunday Brunch buffet which was all you can eat crab legs, chicken and waffles, country potatoes, catfish and an omelet bar. They also have prime rib but the guy serving it was giving such tiny slivers of the meat. The burnt ends wears so good and flavorful. They also have bottomless mimosas for $15 but I opted out and I'm glad I did cause I'm so full off the food. I'm sure the mimosas are excellent thought (what mimosas aren't). My new favorite breakfast place! The best breakfast/brunch we've had since the 2020 lockdown. You must make a reservation but that is no big deal. We went early at 10 am. Everything is made from scratch, even the pastries! The coffee is excellent ( always a deal breaker for me when the coffee is bad), the portions large and the quality of the food very good. Too many places we use to frequent pre-COVID for breakfast are no longer up to par. This is our first time visiting Eve's and we'll be back. We also recommended Eve's to a friend looking for a venue for a small celebration during the week--she booked them, we were there, they did an excellent job catering that meal as well. read more

We came here for Sunday brunch for my mothers bday and I must say that I love the location. It's the old Zazoo's building. On the water with amazing views of the ocean. If you get to sit downstairs that is. We were forced to sit upstairs due to a private party arriving later that day. That sucked. You wanna know what else sucked? Their buffet. Not many options at all. The breakfast station was the omelette station. Pork bacon and sausage. Waffles and eggs can be found there. They had some old looking fruit salad. I passed on that and the old looking green salads. I headed over to what appeared to be lunch food. They had black eyed peas (I don't eat that but my mom loved it) greens made with pork (not good, they should have turkey necks instead as more ppl don't eat pork) so I couldn't eat that because it had pork in it. I looked at the country potatoes and they looked old so I didn't get them. My sister's boyfriend did and he said they tasted old, I told him they look old so idk why he even put it on his plate. I got some fish, now that was the best I had besides the crab. The waffles were good, that batter was great. The butter was already melted so I only got syrup. Something about melted butter turns me off. And I topped it with the strawberries I saw sitting in their own bowl next to some whipped cream. The strawberries were a prefect accent to my second round of waffles. I ate about 1 1/2 crabs. Considering I didn't have much of the other foods, I kept going back to what looked safe to eat. so I mainly ate waffles and crab and fish. I want to try this place again but they need to step it all the way up with the food. I only drank water because I knew that couldn't be a disappointment. I loved the outdoor seating at this place. It's right on the water, it's so relaxing you can just watch the boats drive by as your drinking your bottomless mimosas. I was pleasantly surprised to find this place. They serve breakfast until like 4pm. Bottomless mimosas in 4 different flavors (orange, cranberry, pineapple, and grapefruit). Cranberry was my favorite. I got a burger that was amazing, the patty was fresh and juicy, and it had some onion jam on it that was really good. I've gone here twice so far - first for Oakland's restaurant week and second for their unlimited champagne brunch. Their restaurant week menu was superb. Salt & Pepper Prawns - 5/5 This was flavored so well! It was light and fresh with a real spicy kick. I highly recommend this if you can take the heat. Seared Dayboat Scallops - 5/5 The scallops were cooked perfectly, nicely seared on both sides and soft and tender on the inside. It comes with flavored yellow rice and some root vegetables that complemented the scallops very well. I would definitely get this again. Gluten Free Chocolate Souffle Cake - 2.5/5 It came with red berry coulis and chantilly cream. I was not a fan of this. It was too dry and not the moist type of cake I was craving. My friends and I liked the restaurant week experience so much, we came back and did a weekend brunch with unlimited champagne. Their brunch buffet menu is smaller than what I'm use to for a nicer restaurant, but I was definitely satisfied when I left. The main things I really liked was the prime rib (I specifically asked for a more rare piece and he happily cut it for me), the king crab legs, and the eggs cooked to order. I was so full, I wasn't able to indulge in the omelet bar or the pancake bar. One bummer is their horseradish is super weak and I would've liked some au jus with the prime rib - our waitress did offer to see if she could get us some, but we didn't think it was that necessary. We received excellent customer service both times. The waitresses really made sure we were happy and accommodated. She offered to get us food so we didn't have to get up, even though it was a brunch buffet. The view is also gorgeous. We sat inside both times and we love the scenery from the inside. But now it is Eve's Waterfront, a nice restaurant with outdoor waterfront seating. It was a perfect day for dining al fresco and doing some boat watching, which is exactly what we did. I met my BF for happy hour and was pleasantly surprised by the spot as I'm just a super OG that vaguely remembers getting my groove on at Zazoo's during nightclub hours. It was a beautiful day outside so everyone was on the deck and light was shining in through all of the windows. We had a few of the house margaritas, as with all house HH margaritas, they could've been stronger. We noshed on the Fried Chicken Spring Rolls (whoa that's different), Fried Calamari (yum!) and Ribs. The ribs were a little salty for my taste but nice and tender. The waiter was very attentive and checked on us frequently which was appreciated. The staff was very friendly as well in moving and adjusting umbrellas. *sunburned shoulders are not cool* I can definitely see myself coming back for HH. We loved the Korean Style Cauliflower bites appetizer along with the BBQ ribs with hints of maple and fennel. OMG, I don't even know where to begin with this dining debacle. I don't think I've ever written a bad restaurant review but this place takes the cake (oh right - if they had cake they would've run out of it). We had our business Christmas party here last night. We pre-ordered our food a WEEK ago (plus pre-oredered appetizers for the group). The first thing when we arrive is that we were told is that they have NONE of our appetizers as they had RUN OUT OF FOOD. They gave us a fruit plate (yes, you are reading this right) and a lame pasta salad (one plate for a group of 30). About an hour into this, we started getting salad. I never got one, so asked for my Cesar. They tried to give me a Cesar made with endive, not romaine. (see picture). I sent it back. Then we wait and wait and wait... and ask and ask and ask... and 1.5 hours later we get some bread - two small baskets for a group of 30. We wait and wait and ask and ask and finally get some water (this is way after the bread). The water was served in plastic cups. Yup. When we finally got our entree's, I had one teeny piece of broccolini, lots of mashed potatoes that looked like fake food and a piece of duck that was one big piece. That might've been ok had they seared the fat side of the duck (I can't cook and even I know that). See pic. One employee got a steak about the size of a deck of cards. Two of my employees had to wait for 30 minutes to get their entree after everyone else got theirs. Wow..... They desserts were a joke. They only had one dessert - cheesecake or cheesecake. Aight here's the run down. I was honestly expecting the worst from this place. But for what it is, it wasn't too bad! Expensive, but good in value. Brought a group of about 11 to this place and we all had a really good experience. Service was quick and prompt, and we had a more private corner to ourselves which was nice. The food was not too bad. Yes, there is crab and shrimp available at all you can eat ($50 on sundays), but the best part was when they brought out the lobster claws. Fuhhhhhhhhh Not sure if they do that normally, but if they do, I'll be back with my village lmao My only feedback is to just make sure there is always someone at the carving station. I think I went back twice with no one present. Wasn't sure if I should be cutting it or someone ... eventually I saw someone there and had to go snag a piece of prime rib before he dipped. Went here fir a Pre-Mother's Day Brunch (Sat) and this place did not disappoint! The views are great and the outdoor seating is a must on a nice day. There was a musician playing acoustic music and we had him play rap and R&B song, that was really fun. They have a special brunch menu in Saturday and everything ordered by my friends and I was really good. I will definitely come back to try the Sunday buffet. This place is great!! Located on the bay trail between Jack London square and marina. You could either park your car at their Parking lot or at Jack London square and walk the trail to it the Resturant. The views from the inside are gorgeous with large windows and a no obstruction view, it's located next to KTVU FOX 2. Servers are super fun and friendly. We had bottomless mamos's - three flavors. We had Eve's hamburger, a veggie burger, bay side platter and a eve Benedict with fried chicken plus cauliflower appetizers. Food was delicious. Will return soon. read more

Unfortunately I have to give this experience only two stars. A friend recommended this place as I'm new to the Bay Area. My family and I had their brunch this past weekend to celebrate my grandmother's 70th birthday. My family drove from Sacramento, Tracy, and Stockton to celebrate all to be dissatisfied with the experience. I made the reservation weeks in advance and selected the last reservation at 1:45. I wasn't aware by doing so that this would mean that we would be limited. I was told the day before that the restaurant closes at 2 and the buffet closes at 3 so the window of opportunity for fresh food was about 15 minutes. The quality of the food wasn't the best either, possibly due to the time of our reservation. Either way it goes, if each guest is charged a flat rate of $50 regardless of the reservation time, the quality of the should be the same regardless of the reservation time. My mom asked for a price reduction and we were given 25% off. This was a nice restaurant with a nice selection but unfortunately the experience was not and for such a special occasion with family traveling to celebrate. read more

Eve's is a nice new addition to the Jack London Dining scene. We really enjoyed our Saturday brunch and the price were a bit lower than some on the competition. The views and service were stellar. It is new and was not that busy so its perfect for a big group. I love to find a new gem and Eve's fit's the category. The food and cocktails exceeded our expectations for taste, presentation and flavor combinations. The bread basket was served warm, which I adore. The bread was from Acme, one of the best in the Bay Area. I loved the Breakfast Quesotacos - the eggs were perfection scrambled. The dish had the right combination of heat and bright flavors. The calamari was tasty but basic. The crab and avocado melt was decadent and yummy. The steak fries were superb, crisp on the outside, soft inside - #perfection. Went there for a special New Year Eve , but it was not so special after all. Around 10:00 PM when we still finishing our desert whey brought us a bill and shortly after we paid ask us to leave the table, because it reserved for another party. I was trying to explain to the owner Eve that we bought New Year Package, and after we already spend $800 we deserved to stay at our table trough the rest of New Year Eve. Then I refused to leave the table they threatened me with physical violence. I was literally shoked by Eve's the owner offensive behavier and want everyone to know Eve's customer relations and people skills are awful. First time in last Thursday night - Desiree, the bartender, was super accommodating. She makes a "mean" Long Island iced tea (in a great way) and Eve's Sunset. Enjoyed the sunset, salt and pepper prawns and some great conversation. Food and bread (served warm) was great. Prices are Oakland/Jack London Square competitive especially when considering the "wrap around view". Restaurant is really spacious. Great place for a party. My boyfriend and I are always scouting for new restaurants to mix things up. This was right near Jack London Square. The place is spacious and a bit generically decorated- with gold event chairs and crafty lantern table center pieces. We were there on a weekend between lunchtime and dinner- and there was only one other group of people there. It was oddly empty but might have just been the time of day. The bar is nice, lined with a few flat screen TVs and lots of beer on tap. There is outdoor, indoor and upstairs seating with great views of sailboats, kayakers and paddle boarders. The waitress was sweet as pie and had great presence in ensuring we were comfortable and enjoyed our time there. The menu was simple- calamari, chowder, salads, sandwiches, entrees- similar to most waterfront restaurants. We had calamari, chicken sandwich, and a crab melt. The pricing was very steep throughout the menu- I understand it was crab but a crab melt for $20 was kind of ridiculous. A crab Louis salad added up to $26. *gasp* The crab melt was small and on your average white sliced bread with a small side of Caesar salad. The chicken sando, on the other hand, was delicious and served on a hefty loaf of bread. This threw off the pricing and food proportions for me It was obvious that the place just opened up as there is no regular crowd just yet. The space seems great for events- weddings, birthday parties, sailing themed parties, etc. I'm sure at night it would have sparkled with the view. The owners def made presence by babysitting the dining room and entertaining their friends but I suppose I would do that too. Currently, they're only open on select days. So check before you check it out. Overall, the food was above average but steep pricing, the space has a lot of potential, the service was great but there needs to be a bit more warmth in ambience instead of the bareness when you walk in.
