Can't say enough good things about HBC! I've been a member for over 10 years. They have everything you need for a healthy lifestyle. I particularly love the heated pool, exercise classes like yoga, zumba, spin, and stretch. They have plenty of weights if you're serious about weight lifting. They also have tennis, pickle ball, and pilates and reformer private classes. They have a spa to get facials, nail services and excellent massages. My favorite is the hot stone massage. Perfect for all ages but it's mostly a family country club lifestyle. People become family here. They also have a hot tub after a dip in the pool. Oh I forgot about the basketball courts that are well lit. You can also get a locker for an additional cost as a member. Some people say it's pricey and their locker rooms need to be remodeled but everything works perfectly. They have plenty of towels so you don't have to bring yours. The private locker rooms have a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Their machines are new and work well. Lastly, they have free parking and plenty of spaces. I'm a happy and proud member of HBC!

Smash and grab in there HBC parking lot

For the price you pay you can go to a way better gym. Reason going there, it's close to home and felt pretty much safe. After hearing two blocks away there was a home invasion, now car break-ins think it's time to leave. Had our truck broken into last night in there parking lot. We pay close to $200 a month for this gym now on top of this month it's costing us a grand total of $675! You're better off going to crunch or 24 hour fitness. Not worth the cost of HARBOR BAY CLUB it's very outdated

Here is the pool for my 8:30 swim. Perfect

I've been going to this gym most mornings with no issues. On Friday 8/21 I went to the gym per…read moreusual at 8am. Once starting my workout, one of the members went up to me and asked if I just checked in. I told him I did, then he proceeded to let me know that my membership is not valid here and that I'd have to leave. I understand if I need to upgrade or anything, I was willing to do so, however he stated there was nothing I could do at that location and I'd have to leave. The fact that I wasn't even allowed to finish my workout, or do anything to resolve this conflict left a sour experience. I will say, besides this experience that I'm sharing due to frustrations, I usually do enjoy my experience and am always greeted with a friendly welcome by one of the members.

This review is for Josue Larios…read more Based on my experience, I felt that promises were made to encourage me to sign up for personal training, including free months that were never honored. It seemed that the focus was on getting me to sign the agreement, but once I signed, the promises that influenced my decision were not fulfilled. I was overcharged $280 and, to this day, I have not received a refund. Despite multiple calls and emails, I have been unable to get a response. Whenever I try to follow up, I am told he is in a meeting or unavailable, and my calls are not returned. I am extremely frustrated because I feel I was misled on more than one occasion. I eventually stopped going to the gym, even though I had prepaid for multiple months. Since my concerns remain unresolved, I will be escalating this matter to Crunch corporate headquarters and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I hope Crunch takes this matter seriously and prevents other customers from having a similar experience.

Pilates: I love attending the reformer classes, particularly Alba's and Jessica's, but I've attended most if not all of the instructors' classes and they've all been great. The weekend classes do get kind of quick so it's better to book in advance. Gym: Clean, never packed (at least when I go). I always find space to stretch with no issue and have never had to wait for what I need. People put their weights back. There are spray bottles and cloths to wipe what you use after. The bathrooms are clean, and the red light sauna is a treat (honestly my deciding factor for adding the membership lol). I've yet to use the cold plunge or the showers. You get $10 off when you have more than 1 membership. I had a billing issue in the beginning and they were very responsive and helpful. All together I pay $164/mo for both. The lack of a parking lot is a mild inconvenience, but street parking is hardly an issue with all the residential streets with free parking around Park. Great gym!!

Best call ever. Thom actually makes it fun. He's engaging and uses great analogies so you actually understand the form. But what really sets him apart is that he faces you and shows the moves instead of just calling out the next one. He'll demo on a student too, which helps when you have no idea where your arms or legs are supposed to be (which is most of the time for me, haha). He also catches when I space out (which is most times) and gently corrects me. And mid-class? He goes around and gives everyone's calves an assisted stretch one by one. It's seriously awesome, feels like a mini massage built into your session. Six months in and I'm amazed. February me could barely control her legs. August me actually has better strength and stability. Yes, it's still expensive. But I'm grateful to Thom for making me show up every Saturday. He is a hidden gem of an instructor, the kind of teacher that makes you actually want to be there. Highly recommend!!!!

I would give the new North course 4.5 and South 4.0. Although it's shorter, I appreciate that you…read moreneed to be more strategic thwn the South which is a more typical links course and to me, nothing special with some undulating fairways and greens but mostly flat. Just need to avoid getting into the deep rough mostly. The North course used to be the more popular as Earl Fry course before all the renovations started about 8 years ago. Since it reopened all 18 fully in 2025, it started out being outrageously priced at well over $100 but just recently I played it for $80 walking on a weekday and carts are $22 pp, so not as bad (similar pricing to places like Poppy Ridge which also reopened in early 2025). Ironically, the more recognized South course is now $10 cheaper than the North, too. I was surprised that the North wasn't that busy as we teed off around prime time 11am on a Wednesday but never saw another foursome in front or behind us, which was great for pace of play. We finished in about 4:15-4:30. A little slower than we might have but we weren't used to those large, contoured, and pretty firm, fast greens, and we also missed a few shots in the wrong places, like those Scottish pot bunkers or where we didn't see the fairway sloping towards the many creeks on the back 9. There are a lot of completely new holes but I could recognize the same old layout on a few holes, especially on the front 9. It might take some time to get used to but I appreciate courses where you don't automatically pull out driver on every hole without thought, and where you have many options to chip it low or high, or simply putt around the greens. Definitely worth trying the North and South to decide for yourself...but I definitely prefer the North if I had ti choose.

I returned to Corica following its extensive renovation. We played I believe the South course…read morewhich was the more extensively renovated 18. It is a beautiful contoured layout with midsize, fairways and true rolling greens. The spacious grounds had a delightful green and fecund aire . A welcome feel for a January afternoon during Rev Dr Martin Luther King weekend! Superb drainage is just one of the great features of the course ...with all the December and early January precipitation and foul weather our playing partners indicated that they seldom missed their regular appointed rounds. We were fortunate to be paired with two very splendid amateur women players - one from Stanford and another a consultant with Apple Management... So you never know who you're going to meet at Corica. My friend - a local denizen - was just beginning to explore the challenges of the game. ... it was a difficult course to learn and implement swing changes on. Though the driving range provides elite swing technology, it lacks key indicators such as spin and ball speed, that are helpful in teaching a new player, but it's still a feature that most driving ranges around the country lack. The par threes were particularly bland and I found the 17th almost unplayable. I also thought the weekend greens fee was exorbitant close to $151 +2 cart fees, plus a 75 nonrefundable non-applicable reservation fee, which is total nonsense. The pro shop is as unimaginable as any I've ever visited thank God for the restaurant and the wonderful people that run that place
