I took my boyfriend Edward here this morning for Father's Day Brunch. It is our first time here. Restaurant opened at 10 am. We had reservations for two. The restaurant was pretty nice. It overlooks the bay. White tablecloth in every table and gold wooden chairs. The service was good. Food was plentiful and we were both satisfied!! We will definitely come back!!

This place is beautiful. It's a great ambience. Great to have maybe a birthday or you can have a brunch date. The food was great my island love love love my shrimp and grits. It's really good. My drink was good. The surface was great. I sat outside on the patio and I had a great waterfront view. I would say to anybody to go ahead and check this place out. It'd be great.

We were here once before they shut down due to a kitchen fire, and were excited to visit again upon learning they recently reopened. So first, for the good: The location is great. Per their name, they are located on the waterfront, on the Oakland Embarcadero, with a nice view to take in while enjoying brunch. They are open Saturday and Sunday only for breakfast/brunch, and the rest of the time they serve as an event space available for renting out for special occasions. The service is good. Our server today, Gabriel, was very nice and pleasant to talk with. The food is tasty. I enjoyed my shrimp & grits ($25), and the shrimp was fresh. My partner had the Bayside Breakfast ($21), which I feel should have been more generous in portion size. Now for the real shout-out: they don't use any seed oils! Major props to any restaurant that's seed oil free. Seed oils (canola, sunflower, safflower, etc.) are cheap, but utterly horrible for your health, and any restaurant that doesn't use them gets a big thumbs-up from me. What could use some improvement: The mimosas are generous in size, but definitely juice-heavy. A momo should be about 50/50 juice to champs. Here it was 80/20. It would be nice to have the TV's on during brunch, and if I may make a suggestion in advance, when you do put on the TVs, please be original and put on something other than sports - literally anything else. All in all, a pretty solid brunch place, and with a few modifications, could be a regular destination.

Absolutely amazing water front view ! Such a great place for Sunday brunch. We've drove by plenty of times on our yacht and this is the first time we visited, won't be the last.

We hosted a breakfast meeting and were very happy with the event. The breakfast was amazing as well as the staff. Any minor hiccup were taken care of right away. Can't wait for our dinner

I came here today for brunch with a group of women and receded by a back door with nice views of the water. I do see why this restaurant has a three and I would also give it a three. The menu for brunch is definitely one where you can find something for everyone. You can get a full breakfast, or if you just fancy pancakes, shrimp, and grits or some of your options like fried chicken and waffles or French toast. There's also items on the side that you can order such as eggs or meat like bacon. Our server, though he was nice was not super attentive. I don't know if the rest of the restaurant was super crowded, but we were a pretty large group and a bunch of us had ordered bottomless mimosas however I didn't feel like they were getting their bottomless pricewise because it was taking a really long time to refill each glass. Also, it was hard to get anything like water or napkins because he never came back around really to check on us. He was friendly though, but service is about getting what you need while you're eating without having to hunt down your server. I ordered a single mimosa with orange juice and could barely taste any champagne. I might as well just ordered orange juice. For my entrée, I ordered the shrimp and grits and as you can see from the picture, it had a hefty amount of arugula on top. I thought the arugula was going to be a garnish, but it looked more like shrimp and grits salad. The sauce for the grits was pretty tasty, but the arugula really threw me off. What I pay $25 for that again? Maybe however I would ask for the arugula to be on the side or minimal. One of my friends got the fried chicken and waffles and she said it was pretty good. There was some commotion during our visit where an angry group of women overturned one of the tables in the restaurant. It made a loud noise like a crashing sound. The server apologize for the noise and came over very flustered stating the restaurant was no longer going to do bottomless mimosas because of issues like that. People need to act better. Even if your service is not great it's still doesn't mean you get to be rude and destroy property. Hopefully they called the police or something or I got resolved some other way. The bathrooms are nice and clean, which is nice. The check came out and you can pay three different split ways. That was also nice. When I come back? Maybe. But it wouldn't be one of the places I won't come back rushing to.

Beautiful restaurant by the water! Love their bottomless mimosas and all the different flavors. Everything was so delicious! Our server was great. 4 Stars because a some things we ask for ran out for the day. We were there at noon. And it was not packed at all. This is a great place for a nice date or like me, brunch with friends. We will be back.

Ask the Community - Eve's Waterfront

Do you guys have any vegan options?

After speaking to an amazing wonderful and coincidentally vegan server there, I can confirm both the fried cauliflower (and Kim Chee), and the veggie burger is vegan (though the bun is not so it will need to be lettuce wrapped). Both are amazing.

Update needed, are they still offering the Sunday buffet?

When I was there in November it was only ala carte brunch menu. Doubt it's changed since.

Is the outdoor seating dog friendly?

I think so - I saw a couple with their dog having brunch. I would call to make sure.

Has the brunch been greatly improved? When last I went it was $50/pp including mimosas and it wasn't worth it. Now I see it's $50/pp without mimosas.

Hi Ce! Thanks for asking! We actually had Guests ask for more premium options like prime rib carving stations, all you can eat crab and lots of other tasty Brunch eats. So you are correct that we now offer a more premium all-you-can-eat brunch for…

    How much is brunch?

$35 for the buffet, $15 for bottomless mimosas. The buffet has an amazing array of food for the price; large shrimp, huge crab legs, prime rib, omelet station, chicken and waffles, etc. Really quality food, and fantastic atmosphere!

I'm giving the lodge a four star for my dining experience and an enjoyable evening. My husband has been here more than a few times to play games of pool with our friendly neighbor and one of his friends. I have been here before for another event almost three years ago. The interior is beautiful, but the walls are thin. One can actually hear people talking in the next room. Our meeting place was the Mahogany Room for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. I did not want to stuff myself with the appetizers and not have enough room in my stomach for the main entree - crab. Nor did I want any libation before the meal. After the cocktail hour, we were escorted to the Rathskeller (basement of the lodge) where the dinner was held. The gentlemen on the waitstaff were lined up in an orderly manner, serving us whatever we desired - be it the bowtie/penne pasta, dinner rolls/garlic bread, coffee, dessert. Presentation of the crab, the wines (red and white), Caesar salad and the antipasti plates was excellent...casual, yet classy. Dessert was a serving of raspberry sorbet. The only minor drawback was the bowtie/penne pasta served on the same plate as the salad plate. Even though I did not win any of the door prizes after making a donation of $20 for 20 raffle tickets, they had some nice ones, such as the $100 gift card from Scott's Seafood, $100 gift card for Yoshi's dinner and show, $50 gift cards from La Penca Azul, C'era Una Volta, 1400 Bar and Grill, Jim's Coffee Shop, Pier 29. From what I heard, the lodge raised about $1,500 in raffle ticket sales. I also have to give kudos to the waitstaff, many of whom were very tolerable and patient with this woman who sat at the next table behind my husband. She was in the wine (whine) mode. "I want penne pasta. I don't want this dinner roll with butter. I want some garlic bread. Don't you guys have any garlic bread?" On and on she went...egads...she had a sense of entitlement. Yes, there were two bottles of wine at each table, but her incessant whining almost had me do a "face palm" on her. Ooh, I wanted to offer her a piece of cheese, which would have complemented a glass of wine very well. (Now, quit your whining, lady...lol.)
