Stayed in Walnut Creek and attempted to visit a vineyard but couldn't find any open. Ended up making a reservation here, was pleasantly surprised at the nice view overlooking the bay by the ferry terminal. We sat on the patio and it was perfect weather for a mimosa flight. Loved the red pepper gouda bisque. The mini baguettes and castelvetrano olives were perfect to snack on as we enjoyed the view. Great service and nice ambiance. read more

Quality/Quantity - I am saddened to write this update. Rosenblum has updated and changed their members' benefits within the last few months. I noticed changes as early as the beginning of this year. And the changes are NOT to my benefit, so I will probably cancel my membership if I have not already canceled it as I post this update. We have been members for years and rarely visit, usually once every 2 months for pick ups or when entertaining. So it should be very profitable for you. We just rejoined the Livermore Wineries who give better benefits, well the same benefits as this winery used to give. Plus now my wife can go outlet shopping; a win/win. Great wines, Kent Rosenblum (RIP 2018) has done an outstanding job with his zinfandels and the current parent company has done an impressive job maintaining the brand until recently. Well, the wines are still good. Atmosphere - Still a beautiful decent size location. Plenty of indoor/outdoor seating, but of course we come on weekdays and early. Table, high tables, bar seating, etc. Free limited street parking, free for 2-4 hours. Also be careful of car break-ins. Validated garage parking (not free, discounted); see website for specifics. Service - Still 5 stars, good to see some of the regulars still working here. I'm going to miss them. Price - As a member, the first drink is complementary with up to 1 additional guest now. So I guess I have to take all my future guests to our Livermore wineries... Which also means less potential future customers for you as they will sign up as members there instead of here. We spend approximately $50 on snacks + generous tips. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1978. We have been customers since you operated out of that "shack" in Alameda next to the main ferry. This place is a jewel on the sea! I have been here multiple times and I've always enjoyed my time here with my friends! They have a beautiful interior and exterior with large bay view windows that allows you to see the gorgeous water and boats nearby. A sunset dinner at this location is BEAUTIFUL! The evening dinner is lovely as well with all the ferry lights in front. The main dining room has soft lighting, chic Oakland art, and an industrial look with a variety of comfortable seating. Perfect for a date, meeting, or casual dining. The staff is always so kind and patient, allowing me as much time as I need to decide on a wine flight or charcuterie board. I like how they've expanded the menu with more food options! I would have loved to have given 5 stars but I was slightly disappointed by the new servers lack of knowledge about the wine options, and couldn't answer the majority of our questions regarding flavor profile and types. This is a nice winery in the middle of a lot of things. Very accessible, right next to the ferry with a great view of the water. It's a great spot to people watch if you're into that type of thing. Parking is a little bit on the harder end if you want to park in the street, but Jack London does have a parking garage that Rosenblum validates for. They have great service and a good wine list with Zinfandel being their most popular. We didn't order food because we were heading to dinner after but they look like they have a pretty good selection of snacks to enjoy with company. I want to come back in a drag bingo night. Parking is located at Jack London and they can validate parking for you. It's right by the ferry building and kind of secluded from other businesses so it's not too loud. Their outdoor seating is perfect right by the water while their fire playlist is playing in the background. I was surprised they made their own wine! I don't know why given their name, haha, but yeah, their wine is yummy. They have 3 flights of tastings: red, white and sparkling. I do wish they did offer a mix of red and white, but if you go with a friend, just try each other's. I went against my usual and ordered their white wine flight and it did not disappoint. All of the selections were light and refreshing, perfect for when it's warm outside. If you buy a bottle, they'll comp your tasting. They do offer some snacks which is on the pricier side. We ordered some French bread and Brie cheese .The Brie cheese was a generous slice and the French bread was warm which is always a bonus! I would definitely come back again. I did not have a reservation but was able to instantly sit at the bar area since there was plenty of available seating and I was by myself. They have outdoor patio seating and indoor tables which is based on a reservation. Nice view of the waterfront area in Jack London Square. There is street parking and garage parking so it shouldn't be difficult accessing unless there is a large event happening in the area. If you're still trying to keep your distance from other people, you may enjoy the spaced out seating indoors and outdoor. If you are more comfortable sitting outdoor, note that they do not have heaters so come prepared and layer up. Oh and I recommend making reservations if you plan to visit in the early evening (6-7pm ish). Their bubbly is delicious and the variety of cuvée and brut is great. Be mindful that the charcuterie is Al la carte and you get what you pay for meaning you can expect to get a full block of cheese and an entire 5 oz package of crackers. How about some wine while overlooking the beautiful Jack London Square Marina?! If that sounds like your jam, then Rosenblum is the place to be! Rosenblum Cellars is tucked away behind the Oakland Ferry Terminal at the end of Jack London Square. I stopped here for a night cap after having dinner nearby, and it was the perfect way to end my evening. First, let's talk about the location. This spot is prime for those who want to take in the bay views while sipping on some vino. The sunsets are pretty killer as well. During the time that I visited, they weren't doing tastings. I opted for a few glasses instead (they have wine by the glass and bottle for purchase). They'll let you sample the wines before you decide on your glass/bottle. What's nice about this tasting room is that they not only carry wines from their own label, but they also have some other local and foreign wines too. Ended up having a glass of the Garnet Carneros Pinot Noir and the Longevity Chardonnay. The Chardonnay was actually a suggestion from my wine steward that evening, and damn did she put me up on game. This Chardonnay was lip smacking good! Bright, crispy, and citrusy. I really enjoyed it. They have plenty of outdoor patio space with lots of tables for seating. Their indoor area is really chic and cozy. The temperature really drops as the sun goes down. Unfortunately, they don't have heat lamps. You should definitely dress in layers or at least bring a coat if you're planning on coming during the evening time. They're open pretty late which is nice. But when that wind gets to whippin', you'll be freezing your arse off. They have blankets if you get cold. I actually ended up asking for a blanket myself since it was so windy. I hung in there to catch the beautiful sunset, and it was definitely worth it. Service is truly outstanding. All of the wine stewards were friendly and enthusiastic! The vibe is super relaxing and low key. The perfect spot to really unwind or to enjoy some quality time with others. And of course, the view of the bay doesn't hurt one bit. I'm excited to come back again to try more of their wines. Hopefully they'll resume their tastings soon, but I'll just enjoy a few glasses until then. read more
