I probably wouldn't recommend coming with a party larger than four, as the seating is fairly limited and the tables aren't really set up to accommodate bigger groups. One thing I immediately appreciated was that the tacos are served plain. Personally, I prefer that over having them pre-loaded with onions and cilantro. Everyone has their own preference--some people like extra onions, others want more cilantro, and some don't want either. Having a self-serve condiment bar stocked with utensils, onions, cilantro, lemons, limes, and other toppings lets you customize your tacos exactly how you like them. The menu is straightforward without being overwhelming, making it easy to decide what to order. Pricing was another pleasant surprise. Most places I've been charge $20 or more for a birria plate, and often the rice and beans take up most of the plate while the birria feels like an afterthought. That definitely wasn't the case here. For $16, I received a generous portion of tender birria absolutely swimming in consommé--exactly what I was hoping for. The rice and beans were a bit smaller than I expected, but honestly, I didn't mind. I'd much rather have the focus be on the meat than fill up on sides, and this place definitely delivers where it counts. I also ordered the marzipan agua fresca, and it was incredible. It tasted just like the candy without being overly sweet. My partner ordered the birria tacos, and they were fantastic. I was initially surprised they didn't come with a side of consommé, but after taking a bite, it made sense. The meat was so juicy that you could literally see the flavorful juices dripping out of the taco. That said, I still would've ordered a side of consommé because I love dunking my tacos until they're practically swimming in it. Will I be back? Absolutely. This has easily become one of the best-kept secrets I've found for birria. Between the quality, generous portions, and reasonable prices, it's a place I'll happily return to. They are all so generous and we walked out with a refill of nice Lemonade and bag of honey biscuits. My only wish is that they had collard greens but other than that, I can't wait to return. Update.
