Our sales manager Matt was amazing. He took the time to go over all the details, specifics, options, timing etc. he really knows the business and set us up with just what we wanted and during the season we needed. Our installer Alex was fantastic. So professional, neat, clean, accurate and efficient. Additionally he really took the time to show us how everything worked and patiently went over everything to ensure we were good to enjoy our new lights. These folks are really the best of the best. I paid thousands of dollars to have EverLights installed at my home in Newport Beach in October 2022, and other than the first holiday season immediately after installation, I have had nothing but issues with my lights. Bulbs keep burning out and shorting the lights and they never work consistently. I am now going into a 3rd consecutive holiday season without working lights and am just beside myself. To make matters worse, customer support is shockingly awful. I have left so many messages for the support department in UT headquarters and have repeatedly texted the area manager without any response. I was miraculously able to speak with someone in scheduling in UT a few times this year who sent a technician out in March to replace more burned out bulbs, only to have the lights not working again by October. Another technician was sent in October and started to replace more burned out bulbs, but then said our installation needs to be fixed to avoid having this same issue happen repeatedly and that he would ask to return to do these fixes. Unfortunately, no one has returned since then. I was given an appt the day before Thanksgiving and left work early to be home for it, but no one showed up or called. I have left numerous messages since then along with sending texts and an email and have received no response whatsoever. How is this company still in business?! I just looked at the BBB website and not only is the company not BBB accredited, but there are so many similar complaints which mirror the issues I have been dealing with if you look under their headquarter location listing in UT! I really wish I had seen the many complaints before making my purchase. Buyer beware - I seriously regret ever getting EverLights. read more

Had a service person come out and measure the front of the house and explain the process. He was quite friendly and went over the process. We would need about one hundred feet of lights. With the discount it would cost about 3,000.00. We were sent a proposal with the price and a contract. You need to be a lawyer to go over the multiple pages in the contract. While reading it I realized that the majority of the wording was to protect the company and not the client. I also went over reviews, people were having issues the first year and even though they fixed the problem, if it happened in the next four years your cost is over $100.00 each time they come out. Purchased the Classic White lights just over 2 years ago. They were installed in my gutters and look great, BUT that is where the positive ends. My cost was $25/sf and I spent $2500. When the second year came, I ended up with 7 lights not working at the 2-yr mark. My contractor relocated our West, so there is no one in my region to do the repair...which for me is no big deal since I am capable or repairing. The repair got me through the holiday season, but now 90% of my lights are not working. I CANNOT RECOMMED THIS PRODUCT! Overpriced for the poor quality. If you purchase, you can expect to require repairs consistently...which adds additional expenses. The WARRANTY is pointless with this product and in my opinion is very misleading. After two years, I do not believe these lights can handle being exposed to the weather and I highly do not recommend having them installed in your gutters. I have noticed the only lights that have consistently worked are located on my dormers where flashing was installed for the lights. Majority of the 5-star reviews are likely due to new installs. Once they hit the 2-year mark, they will change their mind. I am not against permanent Christmas lights, especially when they work, but I highly recommend you seek another vendor. When you call for support they will direct you to the SoCal Branch. They never return phone calls or text. When they do they tell us that the manager Eric has to work on roofs instead of being able to help with problems because they are understaffed. It's been a few months since I had installation and the bridge that allows me to control the lights through my app has already broken. I can't get any returned phone calls for warranty service. Also after installation (before I signed that I was happy with install) they deducted all my money from my account for the service. I wasn't quite happy with the product and I asked for a refund. No one called me back after several attempts. The product it's self also leaves exposed wiring at corners where the system should have end caps. I hate to leave a review like this but I have no voice with this company over my concerns and complaints and my now faulty system. On top of that it's Easter and I can't display my lights because no one has called me back for two weeks to have my bridge serviced which is making a constant hissing sound and will not power up properly. read more

Our experience with Everlights has been fantastic! I initially asked about permanent lighting in one of the Facebook neighborhood groups and received several recommendations for Everlights. I called and scheduled a consultation and Matthew came out. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. We decided to move forward with the project and they were able to install yesterday. The lights look amazing and our installer Alex was fantastic! He took his time to make sure that everything was to my liking and was incredibly professional and thorough. I wasn't sure I about the bulb cover color (our trim is brown and the bulb cover is also brown so it is not noticeable during the day) and Alex took the time to show me what the difference would be if I switched out the bulb covers for clear. I have to admit that the brown covers were definitely a better look and did not impact the color of the lights as I had feared they would. I'm so grateful to Alex for taking the time to show me how the color choices impacted the overall finished product. The selections they made were definitely spot on. Thank you Alex! read more

Buyer Beware! We had our lights installed last October. We have had ongoing problems ever since and they refused to fix the problem. Multiple calls and every time we call and email we get a different and new employee that can't help or won't help and our lights fail every time it rains. Not recommended. This is the second year in a row that I have no lights. I turned them on for the first time for Halloween. I started a schedule at the beginning of Oct and they did not last longer than two weeks. They stay on when the system is off. Only some of the lights would light up when this happened, so I know it was not part of the schedule. I followed their tutorials to troubleshoot the problem and nothing. Now they just don't turn on. Same thing that happened last year. Last year when I called in Oct or Nov, the tech did not show up until Jan of the next year. I have yet to set up an appointment this time, mostly because I dread calling and going through the whole process all over again. I recently purchased Govee permanent lights, so we shall see how those go instead of my current system which does not work. read more

It is now August30th. Has my lights installed on August 12th and sent payment. Received notice that I was late. Told them that I mailed the payment and was told they only do bank deposits once a week then was told a few days later after the 2nd email that they were gone for vacation. Just now got another email saying if I didn't make a payment that I would be charged a late fee of $150, interest and that I would loose any discounts. Just tried calling them and got voicemail. I've had Everlights on my house for about 6 years and I used to be a huge cheerleader for the company. I even had one of the owners come and help my with a repair once. The problem is that over the years the amount of repairs and problems has just become too much. I've had two completely new re-installs of new lights and control boxes and last Christmas we only had a part of our roofline lit up because so many lights were dead or didn't respond any more. Last week I tried to connect to the control box to turn on the lights to see how they were doing for the upcoming holiday season and the app wouldn't connect with the control box at all. I ran the set up wizard from the app and it won't work. I contacted customer service and was told that my box was version 2.0 and that basically I was out of luck. I could pay full price (plus shipping) for a new control box so I could then control all the lame lights that only partially work. Or I could pay to have them install a completely new system just like any other new customer would. But knowing the level of support I would get in future years is a deal killer for me. They upgrade to newer stuff and you are out of luck when lights go bad or the control box goes bad -- and I promise you they will. They just are terrible at standing behind their product. read more

He was a great guy and I felt I could trust him right away. We came up with an awesome system to have installed around my house and install was scheduled within the month. The system was installed 6 months ago and everything has worked perfect until a couple days ago. A portion of the lights stopped working so I called Matt and he was here within a couple days. It's a lot of money to spend and time to install to be unsupported after a few years. They come out with a newer model and then they quit updating their app and then with OS of your phone security updates make it impossible to program on the mobile app. You basically have to install a complete new system ever few years (controller box and lights). The two installers, Dominic and Marcus, were early to our house, explained how the install would go, were very careful with the lights, our gutters, and our roof and even our landscape.
