ABSOULUTELY HORRIBLE COMPANY! I ordered the lights in December of 2025, paid my deposit and was waiting on an installation date and was told, "we'll get back to you." After they received my deposit, the communication stopped. After 2 months of calls and emails, I was finally able to speak to someone (who shall remain nameless at the moment) who finally gave me an installation date for March 2026. The installation guy finally came by, but brought the wrong materials. So at this time, that's it! My wife said "she's over it and wanted to cancel. After several more attempted phone calls, my sales rep (D.D.)called me back and I explained to him our frustration and that we no longer wanted the service. This guy would not take no for an answer and kept trying to upscale me and avoid answering any questions about when I could expect a refund of my deposit. Extremely frustrated at this point, I start replying to emails that were sent to me back in December of 2025 and a young lady called pretty much doing the same thing. She gave me an email address to contact "The Refund Department." Of course the email address was fake. So another dead end of course. Now no one is calling me back or responding to my emails. My next move is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I want to see if they ignore them too. IF I COULD RATE WITH NO STARS I WOULD My Everlights were installed in December 2024. The lights worked for about 3 months then started malfunctioning. Half a zone would remain on unless the power was turned off. Mike came out and made repairs that got those that were malfunctioning to work then another section would malfunction. Again remaining on unless power was off. Mike would return and replace another section only to have the same scenario repeated in yet another section. Mike has been great but I still have lights that malfunction and after 3 weeks of waiting, Everlights still does not have a scheduled repair date. Every day that they delay is a day we can't use these very expensive lights AND it is one less day of warranty coverage. The situation is very much in their favor! I can imagine a scenario where my lights to continue to malfunction in the same manner as they have from the beginning yet there isn't any warranty coverage remaining even though the source of the problem has never been properly addressed. I have had the lights for three years now. They initially worked fine, but I have had problems consistently. In the beginning, Everlights was responsive, but the same problem of lights not working keeps repeating. It used to take several weeks to get someone scheduled, but now, the response time has increased dramatically. The main reason for getting the lights initially was to not have to put them up every Christmas. Now here we are, and my lights are again not working properly. I have been reaching out, and after finally receiving a response, I was told someone would reach out and schedule an appointment. I have still received no calls. When I reached out again, I was told that there will be no work done until after Christmas. The lights are great when working, but I would not recommend at all due to the very poor customer service. It is obvious that they are prioritizing new customers for whatever time they have for their technicians. Buyer beware. I installed my own Govee lights in the backyard at a fraction of the cost and they work equally well and have responsive customer service. This has the feel of a failing company. read more

This product is horrible! We got these lights 16 months ago and in that time we've had sections of them stop working on three different occasions. Now today there is a row of four or five lights that are white (they should be green) and the entire half of the house beyond that point is out. $2,500 for lights that essentially lasted two Christmas seasons. 100% buyer's remorse as I stare at all my neighbor's surrounding homes with amazing CUSTOMIZED GOVEE lights at a small fraction of the price we are saddled with. For as much as this costs, there is no comparison to the features that GOVEE lights offers. So many regrets on not reading up on reviews of this company which it all seems to be a sham about upholding their promised warranty. ONE WEEK in and we are already having issues with the app and have to reboot our system. Anything I try and do in the app is not possible, but don't worry, it may be available in a future update, what a joke. From the moment we signed our contract with Matthew Heinz, regional account manager, we were promised 1 of 9 install dates BEFORE Thanksgiving if we paid an extra $2k. We reluctantly agreed until a week later when we were called to schedule and it was AFTER Thanksgiving and of course AFTER we paid our 10% deposit of $1200+ after going back and forth with a couple employees, they were able to get someone from LA to come out install the week before Thanksgiving. Super grateful to Alec, he was prompt, communicative, professional and worked hard by himself so definitely 5 stars for him. Then we receive a bill for the full amount a few days after installation, nearly $11k due in less than a week. This was after Matthew Heinz had said we were able to finance as an option which is the reason we even decided to go ahead with this company even though we tried to cancel after the whole scheduling issue. Had to chase down a couple people again to get that settled, what a pain. Nobody ever checked in on us, asked us how we liked our lights, the job, if we were satisfied, NOTHING. I guess once they tie you down with a contract and get their money, you don't matter anymore. Seriously disappointing, don't recommend at all. Very expensive lesson learned! read more

Reported issue with 2nd Story Everlights install week before Thanksgiving - white lights stuck on wouldn't turn off. (See pic 1.) rest of lights wouldn't turn on. Was told they were too busy on new customer installs to send out a tech to troubleshoot the issue. Got TEXT support week after Thanksgiving. Reset the 2nd story. The result turned on the blue lights, basically stuck on set up mode. Made the problem worse. Was told I needed a tech to come and troubleshoot this issue. I Asked for holiday tech support for an existing customer. Was told my ticket was in the cue. Then crickets from Everlights. No communication from Everlights about anything ! We spent the WHOLE HOLIDAY with half second story stuck on (see photo 2) ! It's still been "crickets" from Everlights with any information about when they could schedule a service call on their install I would give Everlights on sight tech support an "F Minus". When you call for updates, you get a message that basically says "don't call for updates we have your call and will reach out when someone's in the area". Where do I start? I've had my Everlights for approximately two years now. While my installation experience wasn't the best, it wasn't bad enough for me to initially raise a complaint. When I first signed up for the installation, the Everlights installer canceled my appointment, even though I had taken the day off from work, which meant losing 24 hours of PTO--a big deal for me. Despite this setback, I decided to go ahead with the installation. The installation was eventually done on a day when I was working and not at home. For $3,500 worth of lights, the job wasn't as clean as I had expected. I decided to move past it, even though I was disappointed. To add to the frustration, I lost my cash discount because I couldn't pay in cash since I wasn't present during the installation. This resulted in an additional $100 charge. However, it wasn't until recently that I experienced Everlights' true customer service shortcomings. I referred a friend as instructed, as confirmed by an email from the area manager. Yet, the company went to great lengths to deny the referral incentive. I received text messages stating that I didn't qualify due to strict tracking procedures, even though I provided a picture of the email, which clearly stated that simply sharing the contact information would qualify me for the referral bonus. At this point, it's not even about the "reward" but rather the poor business practices Everlights follows. I'm sharing my story so others are aware and prepared for similar issues. The lights look great, but the customer service has ghosted. What good are the lights if they don't work during Xmas. My lights were installed on 12/30/24 and quit working 3 days later on 1/2/25. Everlights came out got everything working by relocating the bridge to a more centered location. On July 2, 2025, half of the lights quit working. Everlights responded in a timely manner and repaired them. On 9/22/25 a different portion of the lights quit working. Again Everlights responed in a timely manner and repaired them. On 11/18/25 half of the lights quit working again. I have called, sent emails, sent text messages and finally was able to get a hold of someone. Unfortunately, she isn't able to schedule anyone to come as they are terribly understaffed. I have asked for a manager, CEO, or anyone that can help with the situation, but nothing. Today is 12/16/25 and they have yet to fix the lights. These lights are terribly expensive therefore should come with better customer service. We purchased Everlights in February 2023 and every year has had multiple issues with lights (bulbs burning out, app not working, etc). In 10/2024 the management ignored my service requests for multiple weeks and finally after I posted Google and Yelp reviews and submitted a complaint on BBB they got back to me and sent a repair person. In 2025 we have had issues with the system again. After weeks of requesting for service they sent someone out on Halloween, but the system was still not working. We've had our Everlights for about 3 years. The installation was quik professional, and done with great attention to detail. The installers arrived on time, worked efficiently, and left everything professionally set up. What really impressed me, though, was the after sale service. We had to replace several of our fascia boards due to dry rot. Everlights responded to our request to take down and reinstall the lights quickly. When I first started thinking about Everlights, I came across some reviews that left me feeling skeptical. I had wanted these lights for so long, though, so I decided to reach out for a quote. Stacie was our Everlight representative, and from the moment we connected, she was incredibly responsive and attentive to our needs. I even asked her about the low Yelp reviews, and she explained that they were from a time when Everlights was managed by private agencies, not the company itself. By the end of the day, we had our quote, and by the weekend, we were all set up. Given that it was the holiday season, we were especially grateful that Stacie was able to find us an installation date before Thanksgiving. Our installation took place while my husband and I were both away. Marcus, our installer, stayed in constant communication with us via text, updating us on the progress. When I came home at 3:45 p.m., the job was complete, and the installation was flawless! There were no hanging wires, everything was neatly done, and Marcus was incredibly patient with all of my questions and the app training. We set up a few presets, but I also had fun creating my own custom patterns. I could've spent all night playing around with them! As of today, I am absolutely thrilled with Everlights. If you're considering them, do it! No more hanging lights. During the day, they're practically invisible, but at night, they light up your heart when they turn on. :) read more

We recently moved into a new build. The home is beautiful. We decided to go with a more permanent lighting. I was told this new Everlight system was the latest and greatest. The best on the market. We purchased Everlights and had them installed at the end of September 2025. They have yet to work properly. The lights flicker with white lights throughout the strands. No color scheme works properly. I submitted a fix it ticket and it took roughly two weeks to come out and fix the issue. What ever they did worked for about a week. Now the lights don't even display a color. Its all white with a hue of light coloring. I placed another fix it ticket over a month ago. I have received one auto generated email saying they go the request. In all I have yet to use the lights for, Halloween, Kids birthday, Christmas, new years, valentines, and any other reasons to light up a house. DO NOT PURCHASE EVERLIGHTS. "We have a $3500 minimum" That's what the salesperson Matt Heinz told me right away when he came out to give me a quote. My total price for installation was over $3600, and after a week and a half of radio silence it took me threatening to exit the contract and demanding a refund to even get on the install calendar. The day before Halloween we had our Lights installed. Their rep showed up and had everything mounted and hooked up within a few hours, however, the quality of the install left a lot to be desired. I was told that the lights would be mounted flush to my fascia board and during the day would look like nothing was installed. I was concerned to find that the aluminum strip they use does not make corner bends or end cap pieces, so we were left with several bends that were exposed and told that there is nothing they can do about it. I contacted Matt, who referred me to Jorge, who after several requests came to inspect the work by the installer. He said "oh I would have done this differently", "yea he tightened this too much" and "oh this is bent that's why". I was told that he would have someone come out to repair and despite it now being several weeks later I have yet to hear back from anyone. Since the installation I have had to reboot my controller bridge three times because it lost connection to some service, my lights have stopped responding which caused me to have to "reboot everything and cycle the colors", and my requests for updates from the installers have gone silent. It's for these reasons that I cannot recommend Everlights as a "professionally installed lights company" to anyone. My neighbors who were waiting to see how our installation turned out heard my feedback and threw away their business cards.
