One of the technicians hanging the Christmas lights on the second floor broke over 12 clay roof tiles. The other technician told him to get down before he broke anymore. I reached out to Jennifer multiple times by phone and email with pics of the damage and the estimate and she told me Donovan would be reaching out to me to remedy this but wouldn't give me his contact info. I had Steven review my property to see if lights could enhance my yard when I hosted my daughter's anniversary party. I took his suggestions reluctantly because I could not see the full benefit. My wife and daughter both thought the lights would have a positive enhancement. They were correct and Steven did a great job wrapping 5 trees in lights and running larger lights from one tree to 3 other trees to give us a lot of light overhead in the party area. Steven was was time to install and remove the lights and did a professional job (party was on a Saturday and he installed on Thursday prior and removed them the following Monday). Steve with Light Up My Holiday was amazing! We were having a fundraiser on St. Patricks Day for Meals on Wheels. I called him with very little notice before our event and he was able to meet with me right away. He shared with me what he can do for us as far as the lights, decorations and where we could put these beautiful cherry trees he had. He came early to set up which he did by himself, and he came back when it was over around 11:30 to take everything down. He was the last person there! He did all of this at no charge, for Meals on Wheels. He truly is a great person and a hard worker. I would highly recommend him, to light up your event or your house. read more

I just rebooked for the 2nd year. A relative/housesitter surprised us with lights last year while we were on vacation, and we loved it! We had called a few companies before we left, but didn't like their prices or displays. They found Steve and we were so happy with the results. We just booked for this year, Steve was very accommodating to our schedules, met with us within a day, and is even offering a discount for early booking, which works great for us. The choices he offers range from basic lights to award winning light displays (my neighbor won an award in Huntington Harbor last year using Steve and Light up my Holidays!). WHAT A BIG MISTAKE. I called a week in advance to schedule this company to install my xmas lights. I spoke to Steve and he was very helpful. Steve raved about this company being in business for 15 years and their quality of work. Steve even Google my home address and provided me an estimate of $300.00 over the phone. Perfect!. Steve scheduled the work to be completed on 12-5-15 and said he would send a confirmation email. Well on 12-04-15, I had not received an email and I called Steve to confirm the 12-5-15 appointment. Steve answered the phone and apologized for the lack of email, but confirmed the work would take place on 12-5-15. At that time, I confirmed my email, address, and phone number with Steve. We even scheduled a time for the lights to be removed. At no point did Steve mention paying anything before any work had been completed. 12-5-15 arrives and this company is a no show and no call. I called Steve and left him a long message and as of 12-9-15 he still has not called me back. Great customer service for being in business for 15 years. I checked my email later and saw they finally sent an invoice for $430.00 indicating a payment is due at the time of scheduling the appointment. WTF Steve. This company is a joke. read more

Wow - that's all I can say! These amazing lighted tree decorations were just the perfect addition to our event, Wags N Wine on June 25th at the Pasea Hotel in Huntington Beach. Steven arrived in plenty of time to set up his displays, and wow, did they brighten and lighten up the large ballroom at the Pasea Hotel. Steven was super professional and his displays were AWESOME. This "company" if you could call it that is horrible. Apparently this "Steve" guy is great, minus one reviewer but I never got the chance to talk to him. I tied to a woman named Jennifer. First off, it sounded like I was on speakerphone whole she was in the bathroom getting ready or something. I could barely hear her. I think it was her home phone or something! Then the call kept dropping and I could barely hear her...and YES I checked my phone and I had full bars and full service where I was. She quoted me $300.00 but said that I would need to take a picture of my house and send it to her because she couldn't look it up on google. Okay fair enough. She said she would get back to me in an hour or so. I took the picture and sent it to her. Nothing. 3 hours later, checked my email. Nothing. I emailed her saying that I hope she got the picture because I had not heard anything from her. She responded 20 minutes later that she would call me before the end of the day at 6 pm. Well, 6 pm came and went...no email, no all no nothing. The next day came and went and I didn't want to be rude so I left it alone. I thought maybe because it was over the weekend she would get back to me on Monday. Well, that never happened. I called her and this company the day after Thanksgiving. It is now almost the middle of December. Not a peep out of this fickle company. It's not worth 300 or even a $1!!! I'll just do it myself...at least I know it will get done!!! I am so angry at the lack of professionalism of this company. They should really be ashamed of the way they ah doe their customer base. Good riddance! read more
