Would give Zero stars if it were an option. Steve the owner will say and promise anything to get you to over pay for his work. He will then make excuses and lie and throw up some cheap white lights for thousands of dollars. In our cast almost $30K. Will post pics in another post. This guy is a joke. He WILL RIP YOU OFF! You have been warned. read more

Asked for a single, decorated, 6-7 foot indoor Christmas Tree (as a guest at a rental house for 5-6 days over Christmas holiday). After a several day wait for a quote, was finally quoted between $4,000 and over $6,000. This was more than 20 times my expectation and actually more than 10 times the single alternative bid/quote received from elsewhere. Raised concerns via email and received no response. Did not hire them. read more

I have worked with Steve on many projects over the last few years. He is a top notch guy who is able to make things happen. I would definitely recommend Steve for your holiday lighting. read more

Light Up My Holiday, lit up our event. Steven is a great person, who is dedicated to his craft and helping the community. He provided us with two light up trees for a Quinceañera. They were the perfect touch to a magical evening of fun and dancing. The trees are beautiful and made a huge difference in the decor for the event. So many people were drawn to them for pictures and selfies. Light Up My Holiday did a great job! Thanks. read more

Scheduled an appointment a week in advance. They were a NO CALL - NO SHOW!! It is almost mid-December and we are still waiting for a call back!!! So glad we never paid a deposit if this is how they do business. Horrible service, before they even did the actual job! Needless to say we will not be using this company EVER! Apparently the "good" reviews of this company are dated. read more

Highly recommended! Steve installed the 2 - 8ft cherry blossom trees on stage besides the sweetheart table. The trees really added elegance and romance framing the sweetheart table as the focal point on stage. Lovely and timeless, great for any occassions. read more

Steven did such an amazing job for our wedding 11.11! We had so many friends and family commenting on how the stage looked perfect with his light up tree additions. Even our DJ was impressed! Had I known just how beautiful they were prior, I probably would've had so many more! Can't wait to utilize his services again! read more

Steve was very professional and responsive. My job was a little too small for him but that didn't stop him from helping me find someone who could help me...that is above and beyond these days. He referred me to someone who is great and and will be doing my lights. Thank you Steve! read more

One of the technicians hanging the Christmas lights on the second floor broke over 12 clay roof tiles. The other technician told him to get down before he broke anymore. I reached out to Jennifer multiple times by phone and email with pics of the damage and the estimate and she told me Donovan would be reaching out to me to remedy this but wouldn't give me his contact info. And she has stopped returning my calls and emails. I'm extremely disappointed! Beware! read more

Steven is very professional! This company doesn't just do holiday lighting. They made our fundraiser stand out with elegance with their cherry trees and other decor! I highly recommend them to anyone looking to spruce up any event. They set up and tear down quickly. Very polite staff and the impact the decor made on our event was outstanding! read more

Steve has put up and taken down my holiday lights for the past few years. He has a great attention to detail and really takes his time. (Which is fine, since he charges a flat rate) He also really gets into the Christmas spirit, he brings a boom box along and play holiday music while he's working. If you are like me and arent so dissiplined about getting your lights up in time - or - worse yet, not getting them down until Valentines Day, give him a call. read more

Light up my Holiday has installed the holiday lighting at the HOA I manage for two years. Pricing is competitive and service is personal and responsive. We recently added holiday themed wood cut outs. The homeowners and their children love the cute characters and comment how much they enjoy seeing the festive additions during their walks. It's really added to our "community" feeling. read more

I used Light up my Holiday for a client last year and was beyond impressed with Steve's customer service. Thank you Steven. it was awesome! I recommend to anybody.

They reached out to us a little too late for our job but it sounds like they were overwhelmed and are trying to do the right thing. I would've appreciated hearing from them earlier but it's not a life or death thing - it's just Christmas lights. Donovan was pleasant & professional. read more

I had Steven review my property to see if lights could enhance my yard when I hosted my daughter's anniversary party. I took his suggestions reluctantly because I could not see the full benefit. My wife and daughter both thought the lights would have a positive enhancement. They were correct and Steven did a great job wrapping 5 trees in lights and running larger lights from one tree to 3 other trees to give us a lot of light overhead in the party area. Steven was was time to install and remove the lights and did a professional job (party was on a Saturday and he installed on Thursday prior and removed them the following Monday). I know that you will be very satisfied with the look he creates and highly recommend him. read more

I just rebooked for the 2nd year. A relative/housesitter surprised us with lights last year while we were on vacation, and we loved it! We had called a few companies before we left, but didn't like their prices or displays. They found Steve and we were so happy with the results. We just booked for this year, Steve was very accommodating to our schedules, met with us within a day, and is even offering a discount for early booking, which works great for us. The choices he offers range from basic lights to award winning light displays (my neighbor won an award in Huntington Harbor last year using Steve and Light up my Holidays!). I highly recommend this company. read more

Steve with Light Up My Holiday was amazing! We were having a fundraiser on St. Patricks Day for Meals on Wheels. I called him with very little notice before our event and he was able to meet with me right away. He shared with me what he can do for us as far as the lights, decorations and where we could put these beautiful cherry trees he had. He came early to set up which he did by himself, and he came back when it was over around 11:30 to take everything down. He was the last person there! He did all of this at no charge, for Meals on Wheels. He truly is a great person and a hard worker. I would highly recommend him, to light up your event or your house. read more

This was the second time I have used LUMH and each time Steven was fabulous making sure everything worked perfectly. He always picked up my calls and text/emails were answered promptly. This last party was fabulous. I needed lots of outdoor lighting with market lights and spot lights and they were done quickly, professionally and my yard looked beautiful! This is the company to use for your holiday/event needs! Thank you, Steven, for your contest and professionalism read more

WHAT A BIG MISTAKE. I called a week in advance to schedule this company to install my xmas lights. I spoke to Steve and he was very helpful. Steve raved about this company being in business for 15 years and their quality of work. Steve even Google my home address and provided me an estimate of $300.00 over the phone. Perfect!. Steve scheduled the work to be completed on 12-5-15 and said he would send a confirmation email. Well on 12-04-15, I had not received an email and I called Steve to confirm the 12-5-15 appointment. Steve answered the phone and apologized for the lack of email, but confirmed the work would take place on 12-5-15. At that time, I confirmed my email, address, and phone number with Steve. We even scheduled a time for the lights to be removed. At no point did Steve mention paying anything before any work had been completed. 12-5-15 arrives and this company is a no show and no call. I called Steve and left him a long message and as of 12-9-15 he still has not called me back. Great customer service for being in business for 15 years. I checked my email later and saw they finally sent an invoice for $430.00 indicating a payment is due at the time of scheduling the appointment. WTF Steve. This company is a joke. read more

This is the first year I have used a service to put up christmas lights. I have to say I don't plan on ever putting lights up again! Steve was punctual and did an amazing job. Several neighbors have signed up just from watching him. My house has never looked so good. I can't wait to start showing it off. It even gets better, his service includes taken the lights and decorations down. The prices are very reasonable. read more

Wow - that's all I can say! These amazing lighted tree decorations were just the perfect addition to our event, Wags N Wine on June 25th at the Pasea Hotel in Huntington Beach. Steven arrived in plenty of time to set up his displays, and wow, did they brighten and lighten up the large ballroom at the Pasea Hotel. Steven was super professional and his displays were AWESOME. I highly recommend you giving Light Up My Holiday a call to make any event "special." Will definitely have Steven and his beautiful displays come back to our next event. read more

This "company" if you could call it that is horrible. Apparently this "Steve" guy is great, minus one reviewer but I never got the chance to talk to him. I tied to a woman named Jennifer. First off, it sounded like I was on speakerphone whole she was in the bathroom getting ready or something. I could barely hear her. I think it was her home phone or something! Then the call kept dropping and I could barely hear her...and YES I checked my phone and I had full bars and full service where I was. She quoted me $300.00 but said that I would need to take a picture of my house and send it to her because she couldn't look it up on google. Okay fair enough. She said she would get back to me in an hour or so. I took the picture and sent it to her. Nothing. 3 hours later, checked my email. Nothing. I emailed her saying that I hope she got the picture because I had not heard anything from her. She responded 20 minutes later that she would call me before the end of the day at 6 pm. Well, 6 pm came and went...no email, no all no nothing. The next day came and went and I didn't want to be rude so I left it alone. I thought maybe because it was over the weekend she would get back to me on Monday. Well, that never happened. I called her and this company the day after Thanksgiving. It is now almost the middle of December. Not a peep out of this fickle company. It's not worth 300 or even a $1!!! I'll just do it myself...at least I know it will get done!!! I am so angry at the lack of professionalism of this company. They should really be ashamed of the way they ah doe their customer base. Good riddance! read more
