I was installing all new lights in my backyard, along with all new landscaping. Called and made an appointment. Sam was on time and we discussed the job. Sam gave me his expert opinion. Made some great suggestions and had a variety of sample high quality lights. He left and I revived a quote shortly after. We agreed and set up an installation date and time. Sam arrived with a crew of three and got busy. Installation was complete and everything looked great. He even installed a spot light next to my pool equipment, which was a great idea. Prices were good, service was excellent! I recommend Sam and his team for all your outdoor lighting needs! Note: I have some great photos, but they are not loading. read more

If you are considering adding outdoor lighting to your home, you would be absolutely crazy to not let Sam from Be The Light Outdoor Lighting at least give you some ideas and a quote! Sam and Chris did the most amazing job on our home lighting, far exceeding our expectations! Their quote was fair, the communication impeccable, but most of all, their work and craftsmanship was second to none, not to mention, just great all around people! read more

Wow! Sam is a magician! Him and his supporting cast made my vision come to life and lit up my backyard beautifully. One thing that set Sam apart from the many other electricians that I had give me a quote and why I went with BTL, is that he actually took his time and went over every thing thoroughly, listened to my requests and executed. He uses quality products and installed them carefully and in a timely manner. Pricing is excellent too! I would definitely recommend them for any of your lighting needs. read more

Sam and his team exceeded our expectations in every way. They installed a complete lighting system for our backyard, front yard, and balconies including bistro lighting. The work was completed on time, on budget, and with unmatched professionalism. We would recommend Sam and his team for any landscape lighting project. The size of our project was significant, with a four day install. The team never missed a beat, and they were quick to respond when we needed them to repair issues caused by another unrelated landscaping project. Could not have had a better experience with this company. read more

Sam answered my call when I found his company on yelp, scheduled a visit, schedule the installation with detailed pricing, and then came out personally with three of his guys to manage the insulation. My wife and I knew we wanted backyard lighting, but had trouble figuring out exactly what that might look like. We got several quotes and none of them had us excited about the proposal other than Sam and his team. I sent a request through yelp as a 4th and final quote request and am so glad we got that final quote with BTL. Sam and his crew came out same day and took the time to tell us how he would handle the lighting as if it were his own home. He was genuinely excited through the process and we can now see why. The results are amazing and better than we had imagined. My wife just knew she wanted something "magical" and just after the first install day her reaction was "yup, now that's magical". I cannot recommend Sam and his crew enough. The pricing was reasonable and the work, communication and follow-up are second to none. read more

In 2024 I was looking for landscape lighting for my front yard. I found Sam and his team and never looked back. He has an excellent "eye" to visualize the landscape as if the lights were already installed. The results were truly amazing. Needless to say. I asked him to come and do my back yard. Another excellent result. In February I partially redid the front landscaping and again called on Sam to help out. It turned out beautifully - as I expected and have come to rely on the high quality of his team's work. I highly recommend Sam and his team they do outstanding work for your project. They are professional and courteous. They were even open to some of my ideas! read more

Sam and his crew are very detail oriented, they did an amazing job! I had govee lights installed, bistro lights on my alumawood pergola and added some landscape lighting. They were very respectful of my home and left everything clean. He even checked in a couple of days later to make sure everything was ok with the install. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone and I rarely say that. read more

After my first positive experience with Sam and Be the Light Outdoor Lighting, I decided to commission some badly needed work on my outdoor house and landscaping lights. Many fixtures had bulbs and sockets that were out, had broken mounts, or in overgrown shrubbery. Sam and his team came and fixed them all changing to new LED bulbs, relocating and readjusting fixtures. I also had them install a new light for a darkened path section and I couldn't wait until sunset to see how it looked. It looks FANTASTIC! What a difference! The driveway and property is so well lit - they really know what they are doing! Plus I found them very friendly and professional. Highly recommend! read more

Sam from Be The Light Outdoor Lighting impressed me from the start of our initial meeting. I had 5 other large electrician companies come out to provide a quote and they were way higher in cost and the product offerings were significantly less in quantity and especially quality. When Sam arrived at my home, he immediately used his knowledge and expertise to make several suggestions to maximize the curb appeal of my home while also highlighting the existing landscaping around my house. He was the ONLY company that took the time to explain how lighting works, what products I should use and actually staked out the location of each light so I had a visual idea of what it would look like after installation. The final product came out better than expected and I absolutely love how it has transformed my home! I highly recommend Sam from Be The Light Outdoor Lighting. read more

Sam is awesome to work with. Super professional and has a solid crew that comes with him to jobs. I had a recessed light on my stairs go bad. Sam took out the fixture and it was completely flooded with water. He noticed that the previous contractor sealed the fixture upside down. Instead of water being able to drain from the bottom, the previous contractor sealed the bottom and created a cup that accumulated water. Overtime, the fixture filled up with water and ended up corroding the LED lights and fixture. Sam checked the other 3 fixtures and found the same error. We ordered new sockets and LED lights and Sam & his team resealed, rewired, and replaced all the broken fixtures. Now everything works perfectly. Highly recommend his services! read more

We couldn't be happier with the work that Sam and his crew provided. From beginning to end, Sam was easy to work with, professional, knowledgeable, creative, reliable, and had excellent communication skills. When making his initial proposal, he had an intuitive sense of what lights needed to go where to create the ultimate effect!! And the final outcome was even better than I could have imagined! It looks absolutely magical! All of it at a very fair price. (On an additional footnote- we had one light that stopped working after a couple of weeks, likely due to the gardener, and Sam came out the same day I called to fix it!! Now that is stellar customer service!!! I would recommend "Be The Light Outdoor Lighting" without reservation!! read more

I can't say enough good things about how it was to work with Sam. We needed to get some of our outside lights repaired and Sam offered some very good ideas and solutions that were less expensive than just replacing our aging lights. He was able to fix up all our lights and get our backyard lighting working better than ever. Another thing that was impressive about him is that I was able to describe lighting issues to him and he was able to use his extensive knowledge about outdoor lights to propose some really great cost effective solutions to solve our lighting needs. Sam and his entire crew (Chris, Mike, Ken and Palmer) were the MOST AMAZING GROUP of installers we have ever worked with. They do Christmas lights and all landscaping lights. We have worked with many in the past so we know how to compare them to the others. While others were unable to do certain things or just didn't want to do things, Sam was always your YES man with a big smile! He is so helpful and knowledgeable about everything- landscaping lights and Christmas lights. His ideas and designs are phenomenal and one of a kind! He made our backyard into a paradise, dream backyard and front yard. Their work is high quality and advanced. He made our system operable and controlled easily through an app on our phone.
