Went to the area and did a hike across the street and decided to pop in. I am so glad we did! It was a very chill wine tasting experience. Friendly staff, good tasting wine, but their prices are high! I planned to order a specific bottle in my price point for an event at the winery. Went into the tasting room and the menu said sold out. I asked if they had any and the server told me they had some of that wine in library wines. I should have known better to not ask the price and he never said. It was $10 more for the old vintage... luckily the 2015 wine still tasted good. The ironic thing is, is the 2015 vintage is the year they show on their website for the lower price... that did not make us feel good. I can't believe this doesn't have high 4.7 rating. We went not expecting much and were blown away by the quality of wines. We love reds and Bryce has knocked these reds out of the park. Wow. Started with a primitivo, then the cab Syrah, a cab franc and the 49. They are delicious and very drinkable. Carissa treated us with such hospitality and the scenery here makes me want to go back soon. We joined the wine club and we don't do that on our first visits. They've got a great air bnb there that id like to rent. If you're in the area go there and grab a snack from Carissa and then head over to the lotus pub for dinner. read more

I was here on a Saturday and the tasting room was very loud. There are no soft surfaces to absorb any sound so be ready if it's busy. There's a long bar with a lot of seating but there are no purse hangers or foot rails. So be prepared to hang your purse on your knee and dangle your feet. Otherwise, the wine and the service is good. There's a nice variety of mature wines at fair prices. read more

I'm honestly not sure where to begin with all the wonderful things I have to say about Hart 2 Hart! Two weeks before our wedding, our original wedding venue told us they wouldn't be able to have our wedding. I contacted Hart 2 Hart and their wedding coordinator, Jessica, responded right away and offered to give us a tour that afternoon. We signed our contract that day and even though we were only two weeks from the date, Jessica and her team pulled everything together and made our wedding everything we could have imagined, and more. It was absolutely perfect! My husband and I only wish we had known about them earlier! On top of making our wedding amazing, their wine is delicious! The staff that works in the tasting room is so friendly and they always made us feel welcome. We also met one of the owners and he went out of his way to make sure we were happy and having a great time during our wedding weekend. Seriously... THE BEST PLACE EVER TO GET MARRIED!!!! Beautiful, tranquil scenery awaits at this wonderful vineyard! We stopped by after hiking at Cronan Ranch Regional Park five minutes down the road. It was late afternoon when we arrived and the sun was already hanging low, getting ready to set. We got to enjoy the afternoon glow while tasting several of their reds. I purchased a bottle of Rose and Zinfandel to enjoy back at our Airbnb. The sommelier was friendly and personable and let us taste a few extra bottles that she had opened. Love, love, love this winery!!! Carissa is always a joy to visit with! Every time I come, I they make me feel like family. The wines are delightful too. There's always something new happening at Everhart Cellars. My personal favorites are the Sparkling White, Ruby Lips Port (it's heaven with a decadent brownie!), and Happy Zin. Winemaker Dominic is absolutely AMAZING! Make sure you stop in and give them a try when you're cruising Hwy 49. They are definitely worth the time. It started great, the asst wine maker helped us initially and was very personable, when I went back in to order a glass of Merlot (one of our tasters) I was met with "that's not on the list". I very rarely leave without buying a case at a fraction of the cost of Napa. Is it as good as Napa? I'd be lying if I said yes... I mean who can complete with Rutherford? I've now worked here a couple of times with my DJ/MC service and both times have resulted in wonderful celebrations. They have a separate house for getting ready, late night and (I believe) overnight accommodations. From being helpful and responsive during the planning process to being organized and on site for set up and during the event itself, their staff made sure everything ran seamlessly for us. The venue itself was stunning and so well kept and provided for the perfect backdrop for the ceremony, reception, and pictures. Adding to the already amazing experience was the large estate house located on the property just a few hundred feet from all of the festivities where our wedding party stayed for the weekend. I saw this vineyard display their wines at a event in Tahoe called Sample the Sierra. I was looking forward to trying their booth due to my cousin getting married there in a couple weeks. While there I was asking general questions about their location, tastings, store, etc. The lady I was speaking to was very rude and unhelpful. Very impressive place, tucked away in hilly scenery. Service exceeded my expectations. They are attentive and welcoming. The experience makes the drive worth it. During weird COVID restrictions, I ordered food from Cousins Maine Lobster and enjoyed a terrific chardonnay, which I was happy to take a bottle of with me home. Went for as sangria Sunday. Had live music and Sangria. Can't complain! We did a wine tasting was was very surprised that you get 9 tastings with it, and it's only $5. There were a number of good wines that we enjoyed out of that 9 tastes. Definitely would suggest doing a task. read more

My husband and I recently held our wedding and this winery. The venue was beautiful and reasonably priced- but a nightmare. Long story short the venue kept the majority of our deposit after blaming us for damage we didn't cause (and they told us a month after our wedding! The owner never answered emails or calls and it took us over 3 months to get our money back (what they gave us back anyway). They also told us one thing while we were planning the wedding and booking the venue then when the wedding happened they changed their minds about the issue - leaving us scrambling. There were so many other things wrong with this place but suffice to say overall-it's not worth the pain in the butt you have to deal with if you book this place! read more

Went there yesterday for their Valentine's wine and sweet pairing. We got there maybe an hour before the end of it so there was still plenty of time but they didn't really quite explain it very well on what we're supposed to do. Totally confusing. The gentleman doing the rose in wine barrel was really nice and friendly very much customer service friendly and same the lady pouring the dessert wine in back but the rest of the crew that worked there behind the wine bar and all that we're not too friendly. This is by far my favorite winery in California. I have been a wine club member for some time now. They have grown soo much since I have joined. Having changed wine makers the quality has increased tremendously. The events they host are so much fun. I am a huge fan of their CA 49. I also love that they have 5 cabernets. The unique and local art, jewelry and other accessories they sell are awesome as well. This is a great place to bring the family and have a picnic outside at. We had a great time at Everhart Cellars. Their tasting flight at $5 is very reasonable and they also serve a small cheese, salami, cracker plate with it. Came home with a Viogner (beautiful pineapple and citrus notes) and their Bella red blend. We enjoyed the rest of the flight as well, but you just can't buy everything with limited trunk space:) Our friends who live in nearby Cool were so excited to find a great winery just minutes from their house. Had my first visit to this winery recently...I'm from Sonoma County so am accustomed to "the good stuff." Wine was okay -- but was surprised at such a high tasting fee with NO discount if wine's purchased, seems odd and not what I'm used to (including in Nevada Co. where I now live). Wasn't really longing for a specific bottle to take home after my flight of mostly red varietals though; also asked a technical question about one of the wines but no staffer on hand knew. Oh well...interesting gift shop and grounds. Just suggest they consider revisiting their fees. read more

Last weekend ( May 19-21, 2017) We sent 12 ladies to stay at the vineyards main house. A cost of $2,000.00 The air conditioning did not work and the owner would not repair the problem. Then on Saturday evening the water system stopped sending water altogether. No water for cleaning dishes, taking showers, or even water to drink. The owner was called and the problem was never fixed. All evening and all night Saturday and no water until everyone left Sunday. No showers, no running water, and no drinking water and the owner ignored the problem. Did not even offer apologies or refunds. WOW, please stay away! Go for the wine but not for the stay. Horrible customer service. read more

It took sometime to be served, and the wine was rather pedestrian, and unremarkable aside from the aftertaste. I rented a vacation rental house for 6 weeks at Hart 2 Hart Vineyards and I left it with no problems or damages. Yet they refuse to send me my damage deposit of $2000.00 back. Ive contacted them several times to resolve this, but to no avail. I think this is a dishonest way to run a business and if you are thinking of doing business with them i would find somewhere else to stay. If they are doing this to me they must be doing it to everyone. I've also made a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. read more

Was very disappointed in the tasting we had at Hart 2 Hart. Hours for tasting was til 5PM. As soon as we came thru the doors at 4;30, the women behind the counter pushed a list at us & said "Can you do a speed tasting. We are closing in 20 mins!" She was not kidding. We did continue only after another employee took over & saved the day. We even purchased a bottle but only due to the other younger employee who took over from the very rude women who "greeted" us. I think that older women who did the "greeting" should be fired or kept in the back away from paying customers. We have been to many tastings in the past but have never been greeted so poorly. read more

I emailed Amy Everhart on 8/8/15 inquiring about the venue for my wedding. In this email I asked if the venue was LGBT affirming...I never received a reply. Keeping positive, I attempted again on 8/12/15 asking about prices for a small wedding at Hart 2 Hart, without mentioning my sexual orientation. Amy emailed back within minutes, extremely cheerful and willing to provide all the necessary information for the venue. I thanked her for her prompt response and asked if my partner and I could come tour the venue as well as again asking my initial question; whether Hart 2 Hart Vineyards was an LGBT affirming venue. After sending this, I never heard back from Amy Everhart. Unfortunately, Hart 2 Hart Vineyard is not accepting of individuals or couples in a non-traditional lifestyle. read more

My husband and I got married at Hart 2 Hart 8/15/15. If there were more than 5 stars to give we would. Everything was perfect! We had a 200 person wedding and the weekend was beautiful. We were able to use the house on the property for our entire bridal party & their dates accommodation for the weekend. We chose to have the rehearsal dinner up at the house Friday before our Saturday wedding, which worked out perfect. We had 40 people and the Hart 2 Hart staff set up our tables and chairs for us around the house. After reading some of the reviews, I would agree Amy wasn't the best person to work with, I too struggled with her lack of communication and response time. However once I began working with Sherrie (the owner) and Carissa (the main woman in the tasting room) everything ran smooth and our wedding weekend was executed to our standards. If you review the "summer wedding" on Hart 2 Harts Facebook page you can see some of our day! The staff did an amazing job setting up everything exactly how we wanted it. Having Sherrie there the day of our wedding ensured everything ran smooth. Sherrie was able to accommodate us for everything we wanted and referred amazing vendors our way which also contributed to making our wedding so perfect. We love being part of Hart 2 Hart's wine club, it allows my husband and I to head up to the vineyard as often as possible to sip on their delicious wines and relive our special day. It's always great walking into the tasting room to Carissa greeting us as we were family. Hart 2 Hart will always be a special place for us that we will always hold in our "hart". read more
