Such a sweet winery run by a great couple. We drive out here from Sacramento and it was about 1.5 hours, 30 mins of windy roads from the main freeway. It's a beautiful wedding venue tucked among the mountains. The couple were attentive and did their best to serve us in a timely manner. It seems like they have a handful of guests at a time. The real highlight is the highland cow tours. Our guide was super knowledgeable and you can tell he has a really strong relationship with the cows. We loved being able to get up close and pet them. The wine itself was good. I think I preferred the Chardonnay and Rose. There was also great pizza being served by what seemed to be a local young man. The wood fire gave the pizza a great char. I would say the fig and balsamic was a little on the sweet side so I would recommend less honey/fig/sweet balsamic glaze. read more

What an overlooked gem! Randy and Sharon are so personable and they have 3 dogs that greet you on arrival. I love that you can do micro weddings here, stay in a nearby tiny home, and host events overlooking the lake and vineyards! The numerous signs posted around the property made it easy to navigate, and I appreciated the overflow parking lot. Hoping to visit again soon! Me and a couple of friends came here due to our friend's recommendation. She had nothing but positive things to say about her many experiences there. The owner Randy was very accommodating and friendly. He gave us a tour of his property which included showing us his horses and the adorable highland cows. I've never seen this breed of cow in person so I was surprised by how short or smaller they were compared to common dairy cattle you see on the massive milk farms. They were even cuter in person. We had a wine tasting which is complimentary when you purchase a bottle of wine. I ended up getting a bottle of wine that was great to where I wanted to bring it home to save for a special occasion. Randy the owner informed us that usually in April was when they served wood fired pizzas and charcuterie you can have along with your wine. We will definitely be back to have the wood fired pizza! An absolute GEM of a winery barely an hour outside of Sacramento! My wife and I recently celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary with a "local getaway" to the "Tiny House" on the state of Saluti Cellars. Even though we were only a little over an hour's drive from our home in Granite Bay, once we got to this locale, it was if we became surrounded by nothing but nature. God's country. The perfect "local getaway." We of course had to do some wine-tasting at Saluti Cellars, but what we actually experienced was FAR beyond anything we could have imagined. We were greeted warmly by Sharon, who conducted the tasting with us. I was blown away. I have never experienced such wonderful tasting wine outside of Napa. From the fresh and fruity viognier to dark and sultry zinfandel, every next wine we tasted as nothing short of heavenly. Without hesitation we joined their very reasonable Wine Club, and we bought several bottles. The icing on the cake was getting a personal tour of the winery by the owner, Randy. Accompanied by his faithful dogs, Zeus and Cosmo, Randi showed us the horses, the cows, the wine caves, and of course the vineyard itself. Visited Saluti for the first time a few months ago with the folks and loved it so much that I had to show and tell everyone about my favorite winery in the area. Today, my friends and I paid visit to do a tasting and all the wines we had were great. My personal fave? I truly love their Malbec wine. So good. Aside from the wine, the property is beautiful with views for days. Not to mention they have gorgeous animals, like their friendly doggies, alpacas, horses and my absolute favorite animals, the Scottish highland cows. We found this place by accident by googling "wineries near me" and after lots of twists and turns, wound up at this incredible oasis in Somerset. The property is gorgeous and feels like a completely different world from the other wineries in the area. We were greeted by one of the huge friendly dogs and grabbed a beautiful shady spot to enjoy our tasting. We had fresh brick oven pizza and drank wine until the place closed. Our server was so fun and kept us laughing all afternoon. The place has such an amazing, relaxed vibe and we'd love to come back again. I don't know where to begin with how amazing the whole experience was at Saluti Cellars. A year ago we began the search for a wedding venue and were absolutely blown away the minute we stepped foot at Saluti cellars. Not only was the venue beautiful but Randy, the owner was an amazing person. Choosing Saluti Cellars as our wedding venue was a no-brainer. Over the course of the year prior to our wedding my husband and I enjoyed spending weekends at Saluti Cellars doing wine tasting, eating the amazing brick oven pizza, and going horseback riding on the property. Each time we visited, we felt welcomed by Randy and his crew. As the wedding day approached, Randy continued to be supportive and answered all questions. Fast-forward to the day before our wedding and we had Clint cater our rehearsal dinner at Saluti Cellars. Easy to say that Clint did an amazing job and Randy came to the rescue to help us organize our rehearsal. On the wedding day, we had some snafus as do all weddings however, each time Randy came to the rescue by talking through each situation, being flexible, and reassuring us to make sure that the weekend remained happy and as stress-free as possible. I could go on forever with how amazing Randy was, but I also want to give credit to his amazing crew. Clint was there the day of our rehearsal dinner and the day of the wedding. Both days Clint brought so much joy to our wedding guests and was so kind to provide water to the wedding party after the ceremony (it was a hot day). Second, Molly served as our part-time wedding coordinator and bartender. She was incredibly sweet and helpful. I can't imagine not having her to help organize things before our ceremony. She made everything go so smooth and was always ready to support us if needed. Overall, I would wholeheartedly recommend Saluti Cellars as your wedding venue. You will not be disappointed. My husband and I are excited to continue to visit Saluti Cellars and hopefully one day bring her our future children to see the beautiful place that we said I do. read more

Each question we had about the steps and timing was met with exact answers. Our wedding was relatively small compared to some that are held there but none the less everything went off as planned without a hitch. The suite had a beautiful view, clean and very comfortable. We rented an extra room above the barn for another couple who stayed over with us. After the event there were a hand full of us who got to hang out in the cabana. Finally stopped into Saluti Cellars after passing by so many years and boy are we sad we didn't stop here sooner! The grounds are one of the most well kept wineries that we have been to. Clint was amazing and very attentive to my husband, 2 children and I. We brought our dog and she was welcomed with open arms by Zoe, Zeus, Cosmo and Clint's pup Breaker. Randi was extremely welcoming and made sure we seen all the animals. Our daughter loved the horses and I loved the hylands. We feel in love and become members. Already can't wait to come back and bring the rest of our family and friends. Having a glass of wine and walking around was serene and what we call a perfect day. Went here with 14 members of my wine club. There was an $8 charge for tasting waived with purchase. Our server did his job but that was about it. We all bought wine, he did not mention the $4 fee if you used a credit card nor did he offer us a receipt for our purchase. I asked for one and he just looked at me. Didn't say a word. The grounds are beautiful but our experience was spoiled by his attitude. It would have been nice if he acted like he was glad we showed up. I love everything about this place. I have done the horseback riding twice and have had great guides each time. All of the staff have great, genuine, customer service. I didn't even get to the food, service, or ambiance! My husband and I passed by Saluti and saw a sandwich board sign that said "Market Days Sale Today." We thought it would be a neat time to check it out, as we weren't sure what type of "market days" they were having (more on that later). As we entered it was a lovely drive down to the facility. We followed the signs, one saying "Bed and Breakfast Parking" pointed to the right, and one showing to go straight saying "Tasting Room." We followed the tasting room sign and came to what amounted to a cul de sac. There was a large sign showing an arrow to the left that said "Back 40," a graveled dirt road that was a slight right, and a very small metal wine bottle with an even smaller hand pointing to the left up a driveway. (Don't get me wrong, I love metal work, as I make metal signs!) Up the short driveway there were 3 regular parking spaces and a handicap parking spot...that is all. (All 3 partaking spaces had cars). So, parking for the tasting room consists of 3 regular parking spaces? Really? We then backed down, as there was no way to turn around and drove to the bed and breakfast parking area. There was a sign at the middle of the building that said "Tasting Room."The only other signage, stating "Ceremony Site," was on a pathway leading up to the building. We left... I don't think we'll be returning. Let me stress that it was NOT just about the 3 regular parking spaces... It was about the LACK OF SIGNAGE to get us to the tasting room! The very small sign that pointed to the tasting room was not very big, and we weren't sure how to get to the tasting room from the bed and breakfast parking lot as there "WAS NO SIGNAGE!" But....there was a massive sign that said "Back 40," pointing to a dirt road. From a marketing standpoint, wouldn't it make sense to put as much thought into helping guests find the tasting room as in finding "The Back 40?" read more

Northern CA wine aficionados will know how hard it is to get a good Barbera out of Napa, Sonoma, Livermore -- but the great news is SALUTI has nailed it! My daughter, sommelier-in-training, says Saluti's Barbera was the best she's ever tasted. She's scraping the Livermore dust off her feet and heading up to Somerset this weekend for a full tasting extravaganza. Not only is the Saluti tasting room beautifully appointed and rustic, not only are Tina and Randy welcoming, engaging and delightful, not only are the wines divine, but the overall experience is a slice of heaven. The scenic drive through Somerset, swirling through towering sugar pine forests, majestic as it is, does not prepare one for the sheer beauty of the descent on a perfectly paved broad driveway into the 250-acre canyon paradise which is Saluti Canyons. So stunning is the the Winery House and Bed & Breakfast architecture that I fully expected Kevin Costner and the Yellowstone cast to appear any moment. Hiking? Bocci ball, horseshoes? Wonderfully manicured gardens, charming patio seating, sloping vineyards, sprawling green lawns, scenic duck pond....Can I just move in? Strolling around the grounds and marveling at the wedding pavilion, I can understand why so many rave reviews for Saluti are from couples who celebrated their vows on these grounds. Loved the trail ride here at Saluti! The guides Danyeon (sorry about the spelling) and Jacob were great. Danyeon was thorough in demonstrating horse etiquette and safety before mounting, and during the ride he and Jacob were very attentive and conversational. The grounds are gorgeous with lots of shade on the trail and views of hills and vineyards. Afterwards, we were given treats for the horses and invited to give treats to the cows and then visit the goats and mini horses. Such a fun experience! Saluti Cellars was our 2nd stop for a birthday wine limo tour! Right when we got there, we were amazed at the views and the whole property. Tina welcomed all 12 of us. We sampled their wines and my personal favorite was the Muscat! Tina took us on a tour of the cave. We were able to finish our wine tasting and eat lunch in the wine cave! It was such an awesome experience. Shortly after lunch, Randy brought out the tractor and took us to see their animal babies (Horses and Goats)! If you're looking for a wedding venue or a place to host an event, definitely book the Back 40. They also have a bed and breakfast for a nice romantic getaway or even a mini family getaway. Their venue has it all (vines, water, a barn, a wine cave, a tractor and even a hitching wagon). Randy works on the venue to make sure everything is pristine for your wedding day. I literally lost track of the number of guests at our wedding who asked me, "How did you find this place?". For the vast majority of them, it was the first time at the winery and many exclaimed that it was the most beautiful wedding venue they've ever seen. We also used their wine cave for our rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding. It was elegant and stunningly beautiful and our guests couldn't get over it. My wife and I and another couple spent the weekend in the area, and we absolutely loved our time at Saluti. The wines were great, and the time with Tina and Randy were even better. They are gracious hosts and love to tell you about their wines, their property, and the experiences they've had creating and operating Saluti. We bought six bottles between us. Randy and Tina are very busy running the winery, but took some time and gave us tours of the wine cave and the B&B on the property. We also walked around the beautiful vineyards, wedding venue, and pool area on our own. There are also a couple of bocce ball courts. We stayed in our RV's this trip, but are considering renting the B&B and maybe throwing a party at their venue some time in the future (since none of our kids appear to be getting married soon). If you go, you will be greeted by Zues, a friendly Great Dane (just 8 months old), and his older buddy Moak. Zues likes to bark and run around, but is as friendly as can be. Moak is just a mellow dog, but may follow you as you walk the grounds. Saluti is one of our new favorite winery destinations. read more

I was a member at this winery until the owner started being rude and making inappropriate comments... The sad part is both her and her husband never took the time to get to know their members. I was a member for 5 years and every time I went neither owner recognized me as a familiar face. I can't even give this winery a star because all the wines were awful. The owner, Tina, was quick and thorough on all communications, a gracious in-person hostess, and the ultimate customer orientated historian. The lock-off bed and breakfast suite had all the amenities for our overnight stay including a private hot tub that overlooked the property's sprawling highlights. We had full access to the property including wine cave/cellar, barn, livestock, pool area, and hiking trails. The wine and deli happy hour appetizer and egg bake, fruit, warm muffins, and coffee breakfast were exceptional. We felt safe and secure at all times.
