We had a great visit to this winery. It's situated right off the road and the first thing you see was the dog sculpture. Our host Mack did an incredible job with our wine tasting for our large group. We were seated outside and he led us through the tasting with funny stories and even brought out other wines for us to try. We learned a lot about the winery and the history of winemaking in Plymouth. We even tried the wine slushy, which was delicious. The charcuterie plate that accompanied our wine tasting was delicious and beautifully presented too. There was only a small bar inside for seating so we were seated outdoors. I wish there were some shade or heat lamps. The big building was closed the day of our visit. There were lots of benches and seating outside but they were unprotected from the sun and wind so we were a bit cold.

Vino Noceto is great. The wine is good, the atmosphere is great, and the food offerings are yummy. We did a tasting and bought some of the crackers, cheese, and nuts from the small store they have on-site. They give you a charcuterie board and knives to use for your purchases which is incredibly helpful. We ended up buying some bottles. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

I had been wanting to visit this winery for a while. My husband and I had tried a bottle of their Sangiovese at a local restaurant and loved it so we were eager to taste more of their wine. We were not disappointed! All their wines were delicious and the day we went, Wok n Roll food truck was there which made the visit even better! It was a pretty hot day, in the 90s and they were sitting everyone outside which was a bit odd. We asked if we could be seated in their air conditioned banquet room and we were told we could only sit there of we bought a glass or a bottle, they dont do tastings in there because they dont want to walk that far LOL. It would have been a better experience to sit everyone in the air conditioned banquet room and have all the wine and tasting room employees in there. The owner Jim was there visiting with the customers and sitting chatting with them. We got to have lunch with him and hear his interesting stories. This is why I love Amador wineries, I love that small, down to earth experiences.

Came up for day trip with reservations for a tour and tasting. The actual winery is very small but they carry and serve wines from other local wineries to make things interesting. I'm not sure if it was due to Covid protocol but there was no tour. Our server/ wine guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He made an effort to find wines he thought we would like even though they weren't part of the normal sampling. I ended up purchasing several items that were on sale and we had a good time here. If you enjoy sweeter wines this should definitely be on your checklist.

I became a member this year and have been several times since my first. Plus I've introduced Double D to friends of mine and have sent cases to them this year. They too are fans!

What an exceptional time we had here! Not only did they allow us to picnic with our own food, but the care to social distancing, proper mask wearing was appreciated.

Just like the rest of the world, they seem a bit short staffed during the heat of the day. BUT grab a wine slushy and relax. There is a reason they are busy. They make the best sweet wine around. The grounds are smaller but they have a few games to stay busy. Dog friendly. We try to come by once a weekend (we live close) and snag a slushy in the way to eat dinner in Plymouth.

To me Vino Noceto sums up what a winery visit experience should be like: * Friendly, knowledgeable, outgoing staff who clearly are passionate about the wines * An approachable no-attitude atmosphere that encourages quaffing * Decent variety - more reds than whites this time around * Cheerful ambiance with plenty of seating; picnics encouraged As others have noted, the Frivolo, as its name suggests is a light, easily drinkable white that even comes in a can. I was hesitant, nay perhaps even a bit skeptical, that something out of a can could be drinkable. A bit fruity but not overly cloyingly so, I would pair it with Thai -- or even a turkey sandwich. I was converted: wine out of a can can be good (no pun intended). These little guys would be easy to take on a hike, picnic or even a movie ha ha. Maybe I hadn't been drinking the right kind, but sangiovese was never a favorite of mine. Kind of like petit verdot (*gasp*) but when I tried the estate 2015 Sangiovese, I was converted. Well-balanced and not too tannin-y, it's meant to be drunk now. Like I wanted to open the bottle once I got home. Reasonably priced at under $20, the grapes are sourced locally and could pair up with almost anything. So there you have it. Converted to drinking wine out of cans and sangiovese. I recommend stopping by!

We went to Vino Noceto after a three day weekend of glamping near Plymouth, California on the Cosumnes River. While we were camping, a friend told us about a delicious drink she had at Vino Noceto-- it was a slushy made with wine. The idea fascinated me even though I had a hard time imagining what it would look and taste like. Vino Noceto is located not far from the town of Plymouth in the county of Amador. There are other wineries located in the area. So if one wants to make an afternoon of driving around and tasting wines - - it's something you can do in the area surrounding Plymouth. When we arrived at the Vino Noceto, we noticed they had tables with umbrellas along the main cement walkway. At the end of the walkway, there was a red barn like structure that was their tasting room. We each ordered a Frivolous Slushy in there tasting room. It was $8.75 a glass and enjoyed slurping our slushy down to the last slurp! The Frivolous Slushy was as amazing as my friend told us. It was sweet, and made with their Noceto Frivolo. I really couldn't taste the alcohol and I ended up a little headed. One of the young men described to us how to make a frivolous slushy at home. So, we bought a couple of bottles of Noceto Frivolo to make our own slushies at home. Tip: bring your picnic, and eat at the tables outside the tasting room--that way you can drink their frivolous slushies and not get a head ache. They don't do service at their picnic tables, but you can get drinks in their tasting room, and take them to your picnic table. -- Sent from Gmail Mobile

Loved the vibes here. Super chill and comfortable. The music definitely ads to the atmosphere and makes for an overall good time. I bought one of their beautiful candles that smelled so good! We were attended to so quickly and efficiently. Would definitely come again.

September 25, 2027 - Plymouth, CA…read more I've been wanting to visit this winery for quite a while, especially after hearing they had pieces of the Berlin Wall. I pictured a few small chunks of concrete on display. Well...they don't just have pieces. They have several original sections of the Berlin Wall, beautifully displayed alongside their outdoor tasting area. I was immediately in awe. Standing there looking at the wall--and knowing what it represents--was unexpectedly emotional. I had just finished a novel about the Berlin Wall, so all that history was fresh in my mind. It made seeing these actual sections of the wall even more powerful. As we tasted the wines, I had a view of the West Berlin-facing side, complete with its colorful resistance graffiti. Walking around to the East-facing side was an entirely different experience. The stark, cold concrete has almost nothing on it except bullet ricochet marks. Seeing the two sides of the wall was incredibly moving. Okay...now for the wine! We did a tasting of six wines for $20 per person--one white and five reds--and honestly, every one was delicious. We liked them enough to buy two bottles to take home, which waived one of our tasting fees. John was our host, and he was gracious, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. He shared information about the wines, the vineyard, and the history of the wall, which made the whole experience that much more interesting. So yes, definitely come for the Berlin Wall and stay for the wine. It's a unique combination of history, emotion, and really nice wine--and one I'm very glad we experienced.

Met the fabulous owners at a wine dinner at The Nashville Social Club in Carson in March…read more I was so impressed with them and the wines, I made a day trip over to taste and pick up some more. This is a lovely property in located on the Shenandoah School Road east of Plymouth, California. Owner/Winemaker Chaim Gur-Arieh started his career as a food technologist, creating some of my childhood favorites- Captain Crunch, Hidden Valley Dressing, and pudding cups. That has to explain why he creates some very delicious wines now. Elisheva, his wife and business partner hosts the tasting room, or should I say tasting garden. On gorgeous days enjoy the beautiful large patio and garden space she has created on the property. Complete with chandeliers. Be part of their mailing list and make reservations to attend one of her concerts in the garden during the summer. After checking in at the actual tasting room, I walked the path to the garden and could pick any seat. I was brought a nice charcuterie / cheese plate to enjoy with the wines and the sunny morning. The barbera and tawny port are two of my favorites. The sparkling rose was nice and light, perfect as we now enter 100 degree days for the summer. It's going to take several trips to discover all their wine. Chaim has even made wine that pairs with sushi. Wild. Don't be disappointed by showing up, they may be full. Make a reservation. They are a very popular and great vineyard.

I made…read morereservation in advance by email because no one answered the phone and no option to leave a message. When I got there, they didn't have my name for reservation. I had to show them the email confirmation. It was fine and we were still able to sit down right away. The inside wine tasting room is kind of small but the outdoor patio and area makes up for it. It is quite big and open. I think someone can host an outdoor concert or a wedding. We got to taste about five type of wines (Sauvignon Blanc and few blended red wine). They were all good. I particularly like the 2020 Interlude and purchased a bottle for my sister. We also got to sample from their gallery collection library club that's like 20+ years old ( I forgot the exact year) and that was special. They also have dumplings and spring rolls for purchase. I skip that because I wasn't sure if that would go with the wine. We bought some cheese with us and we had that with our wine. Of course, we asked for permission before bringing in our own cheese and crackers. The gentleman that served us was really nice and friendly. We didn't feel rushed and wine was poured at a good pace. I do want to mention that most winery at Amador will comp at least one tasting with purchase, but not at Di Arie. If you're not a member, be prepared to pay the full wine tasting fee per person.

The Barbera was wonderfully expressive, the Primitivo was rich and full of character, and the Cabernet Franc was absolutely exceptional, showcasing the elegance and complexity that make these varietals so special. Each wine had its own personality, and tasting them made it clear how much passion and craftsmanship go into what this winery produces. But what truly elevated our visit from great to unforgettable was our server, Jenn! She was absolutely fantastic--knowledgeable, personable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had an amazing experience. Her ability to share the character of each wine while making us feel welcomed and comfortable made the entire tasting that much more enjoyable. Jenn has that rare gift of turning a simple wine tasting into a memorable experience. It's one thing to serve exceptional wine, but it's another to pair it with exceptional hospitality. This winery delivers both in spades. If you're a wine enthusiast, especially if you appreciate Barbera, Primitivo, and Cabernet Franc, this is a must-visit destination. And if you're fortunate enough to have Jenn as your server, you're in for something truly special! Five stars for the wine, five stars for the atmosphere, and ten stars for Jenn! Apparently, this is the related winery to Villa Toscano located nearby, which we had previously visited. Once again, I found myself a fan of this place also! It too, is surrounded by eye pleasing countryside views, with lovely ponds, fountains, flowers and comfortable seating areas along the outdoor patios. The entrance opens into a large room where the tasting counter is at the far end. But before getting there, you are tempted on the way over to browse the retail area which features home decor, artwork, designer accessories, and clever wine connoisseur gifts. The walls are decorated with assorted flags and a family style crest over the focal point of the wine tasting bar. The wines offered on the wine tasting list were similar to what we had tried before at Villa Toscano. But we ordered another $5.00 flight that included our favorites along with a few we hadn't tried yet. We enjoyed the flavor variations, but had a hard time deciding on what to purchase, so we went outside for a while to take in the scenery and discuss which ones we liked the best. Bella Piazza also offers a wine club membership that includes discounts on wine, other products and a free lunch buffet every weekend.
