These guys were a NO-SHOW!!!!! We unknowingly moved into a rental that has a cockroach infestation. So my landlady booked these guys to spray on 14AUG2012. Was pretty disappointed overall. We had a huge wasp and ant infestation in our office. The wasps became extremely problematic and after Terminex wouldn't return our phone calls we called Phil. He tried to not take our business! Told us to keep calling Terminex. After we finally convinced him that this was an emergency and there were swarms of wasps in our office he came out that day. He did an incredibly inefficient job, only spraying the nests that we specifically pointed out to him. Upon further inspection that day we discovered more active nests. We called him back a few hours later to ask him to come back to spray the remaining nests, and no reply. 2 weeks later, we still have wasps! We definitely won't be calling him to do our ant extermination. read more

I called Ever Guard based on the great reviews on Yelp. Like most people that read reviews here, I give a lot of weight to the good reviews and usually take the bad reviews with a grain of salt, everyone makes mistakes, right? Well, all I can say with regard to the bad reviews for this company - believe them! Clearly Phillip does return some phone calls, or else he would have consistently bad reviews, but I guess he picks and chooses. I called him on a Friday morning and he said he could make it to my house between four and six that afternoon. Great! I left work early that afternoon but unfortunately he didn't show, nor did he call. I called him again a week later and left a message saying I'd like to give him a second shot because of the great reviews on Yelp. No call back. There won't be a third time. read more

He was extremely knowledgeable and polite and got back to me right away. Turns out it wasn't bedbugs or fleas, and just a common household bug. I had been having a pesty ant problem in my kitchen for a few weeks. I was trying to deal with it by looking for the trail outside, but they would just show up with no trail at random times. Do not use this company. I called them about rats in the house. They came to our house a half hour late. He promised to take care of the problem. We gave them our money and they were supposed to return in 2 days to check the traps. NO SHOW! Finally showed up the next day. The following week the Philip set a day, again NO SHOW. I tried calling him and it went to his voice mail. I then called from my cell phone and he answered immediately. Gave me a story about how busy he was and for sure he would return the next day at 10:30. 11 am still no Philip. Finally showed up around 12:30. I tried calling but both phones now went to voice mail. I figured if I used another phone he would answer since he didn't know it was me. Very unprofessional, and unreliable. I called EverGuard after Terminix failed to show. My roommates and I desperately needed help with a bed bug problem and I wanted someone reliable who would get the job done the right way. When I called Phil, he first gave me great advice over the phone without me even scheduling an inspection. I was thrilled at how knowledgeable and willing to help he was and wanted him to come over asap to get rid of the bed bugs!! He was able to squeeze me in the following day. He and his wife were on time and prepared (and texted me when they were on the way over, which I greatly appreciated). Once they confirmed that my suspicions were right - we had bed bugs throughout the whole house - they came over the next day to exterminate the house. Phil was so patient and answered all of my questions! I HIGHLY recommend this awesome husband & wife team. They are so great at what they do and obviously have a passion for this... based on how squeemish I am around bugs, I didn't even know that was possible ;) ! They assured me that the problem is fixed and I trust them! They did a thorough job and made sure not to miss anything. I never found Phil difficult to communicate with. I chose EverGuard based on other yelp reviews. Here was my experience: On Sat we started smelling something funky in my kids room. I called a couple of people who advertised dead animal removal on Sunday, but they either didn't call me back, or referred me to other companies with terrible reviews online. Phillip picked up the call and was honest: He was swamped with work, and would have difficulty slipping me into his schedule. He directed me through several courses of action to take on my own. I tried them, but ultimately could not find the source of the dead smell. On monday, he texted me saying he would attempt to swing by at the end of the day to assess the situation. He came, and quickly concluded that the odor was coming from the ceiling and not the crawl space. We unfortunately have a flat roof that is hard to access, so he wasn't able to climb up there to fix it, but he suggested other solutions that he was willing to implement for us in the following days. We did not expect Phillip to come, but he did simply because he didn't want to leave us hanging. Never did he try to hustle us or take our money until he'd physically taken care of the problem. I'm finding it increasingly uncommon to find service professionals who aren't in the business of bilking their clients these days. He tried to do us right, and that's just about as good as an endorsement as I can give. read more

Came into work on Sunday. Wasn't here for 10 mins and I heard some rustling under a table. Not wanting to investigate, I just got outta there! Called up Phil at Everguard for an appt. A service answered the call (on a Sunday!) and put my message through to Phil. He got back to me on Monday and was here on Tues. We had seen the critter on Monday and I was freaked out!!! Mystery Solved! Phil saves the day, actually the whole week! At work, we started noticing an intense smell and flies circulating the crawl spaces to under the building! called Phil at EVERGAURD immediately sensing that death smell. (Poor lil critter ) Phil has serviced our building in the past for ants (which we have not seen in 2 years) and has done some work for me at my own house, and each time I am so relieved! 1, he's a great guy! 2, he get's the job done! 3, he is straight forward and does not beat around the bush. 4, you can tell he has a sense of Loyalty to his returning customers as I called him last minute and he came an hour later since he was in the surrounding area. He checked the scene, gave me a quick summary of his next move, put on his gear, pulled the bagged opossum out, sanitized under the building, recovered from the intense situation, filled out the paperwork and I was able to pay by credit card... ALL WITHIN 45 MINUTES! and may I add that he did not ask me where to put the remains, which was a relief ... he put it in the back of his truck (wheeeeew ) It's the little things that he does that he may not realizes relieves peoples worries. It is just nice in these situations to not have to wonder if he will! The only negative thing I can say about this experience is that an opossum died. The best thing I can say is that EVERGUARD EXTERMINATORS quickly solved a crisis that you and I could not possibly begin to fix with such professionalism. phil has literally saved our business!! we had a roach problem in our facility, and resprayed our business MULTIPLE TIMES with our original exterminator. the roaches kept coming back, and we were absolutely desperate for another exterminator to come in ASAP!! looking through yelp, we found a company that was open late and available on sunday. we are so grateful that phil was able to come in such last minute on a sunday for us to do an emergency spray. he came around noon, sprayed our facility, and left in about 30-45 minutes. he made sure and guaranteed us that the roach will be gone and the spray will last up to 3 weeks while continuously killing random roaches throughout the days. he also added a personal touch the next day by calling to ask how our business was and how things were going. definitely recommend everguard to anyone who is need to get rid of their pest problems! read more

Phil and his wife are the best!!!!!!!!!! Friday night I find out that the stray 1 or 2 tiny beetles I've been finding in my room in the past week are actually carpet beetles, and have reproduced to an infestation level. I freak out, leave my apt, spend the night at a friend's place and call exterminators Saturday morning. Ever Guard was the only exterminator that was willing to come out that day, and only because Phil was willing to squeeze me in between appointments. All of the other exterminators gave me dates in the following week that they could come out which just doesn't cut it when you've got a bug problem. I feel so bad for the other reviewers who got a no-show because 1) having a no-show on a bug problem has to be just the most terrible thing and 2) Phil and his wife are awesome chill people who really know what they're doing. Phil and his wife came in, sprayed things down, fogged up the place and were out. Super quick and efficient. Phil told me before he started that the process might look quick and seem like he wasn't being thorough, but he just reassured me that he's quick because he's done it a million times before and the chemicals that he uses are super effective. The next day I go into my room and see for myself that yes indeed he is thorough. He took anything that even looked like a drawer out, moved around furniture, lifted my mattress, moved the things that were under the mattress all to make sure that every inch of my room was sprayed which I am thankful for. Also, he quoted me the price of the work over the phone before he came to my apt and he stuck with that price. It's been a few days, but I haven't seen a carpet beetle yet! Phil told me that if I see the carpet beetles come back within 8 weeks, he'll come out again and respray my place down. Call Ever Guard. My landlord got Everguard Exterminators out at the house they were the third exterminator and I met with Frank he was AWESOME! His work truck and his appearance really showed the he knew what he was doing. He had two types of spray for the inside and the outside of the house. He was great around pets. He was thorough and easy to talk to. I felt like he could speak about his profession and experience with confidence and willing to do so. Best of all we had the ants exterminated and he gave a 1 year warranty. Going back 9 months where we had our first ant problem, my landlord called the first exterminator he came out right away and he was great. He sprayed two types of chemicals one weaker for the inside of the house and a stronger one for the outside. This guy was great! Professional he answered questions without doubts and the ants went away and didn't come back for about 8 months. The problem started happening again and my landlord couldn't find the phone number to first exterminator so they called a local small business guy named "JR." This guy was terrible nothing about him was professional he used the same spray for inside and out. He asked if I wanted to "quadruple blast" the house and I asked what that meant and he just said I should do it because it would take care of the problem. It really meant he was going drench the house and make puddles of water on the counters and floor with his weak chemical that didn't kill any ants. He sprayed and sprayed and no ants died he also talked way too much. He kept on saying that we live on a ant hill and there's no way to get rid of them. He was really scared of dogs and this guy was unprofessional no work shirt no work truck just casual as can be like if he just came of the street. When I asked him about questions about exterminating process and his background he started get on the defensive and asked me "why am I so analytical?" Then there was a misunderstanding about the payment for his second trip. We thought he gave at least a two week warranty but he gives no warranty. This guy gives no receipts no contracts and has no business cards. This misunderstanding lead him to rush out of the house throwing a fit like child and when I just asked him if they landlord had paid him he freaked out and just said "why would I ask that he's a Christian and god was going to punish people like me." This guy is horrible and I DO NOT recommend this so called exterminator named "JR." If you get this guy save yourself all the headaches and call Everguard and have Frank come out. read more

We had a emergency situation with a dead animal under our house and the odors were toxic and we couldn't find the critter. Phil and his crew were fast and nice. The fit is in the same day too even with a booked schedule. They were in and out in 20 minutes. As soon as they took care of the issue by removing the animal and using a safe cleaner to remove bacteria and odors the smell was gone and all was good.
