This is a family owned business and I'm so HAPPY I came across them. I called and right away Philip answered. He answered all my questions. I felt like I was annoying with my 1,001 questions about bed bugs. Unfortunately we brought them home from vacationing in Palm Springs. He was so quick to give feed back on how to do things ourselves but I was so frightened, overthinking and losing sleep over this, so I called him again and asked if he could just come and spray the home. He didn't try to sale us anything from day one, no contract like most. He was straight to the point and was even nice enough to book us within a day with a reasonable price. Other company's weren't able to come out till next week.. I appreciate him for squeezing us into his fully booked schedule. THANK YOU! I thank him so much and even more for getting the job done. Can't wait to go to a bed bug free home again ( I would highly recommend him ) read more

I was bitten by something in my bed a few weeks ago. Looked like a couple of mosquitos had a feast on my forearm. It was so weird looking i researched it and suspected some time of bed bug problem as I'd recently visited a hotel. I called Phillip and he made time to come by and give me a free inspection. He didn't seem to find anything but gave me some money saving advice to test out my situation a bit further before he really had to do anything. He was glad to save me money and really wasn't making anything up just so he could get another job. A rare quality indeed. I haven't really been bitten by anything since, so I called Phillip again and he gave me some more advice as to what to try to make sure. Overall I'm pretty sure this "feast" was an isolated incident as it hasn't repeated in a couple of weeks, but its good to know I got a guy I can call who I know is interested in solving the problem the right way without the bs. Thanks Phil! read more

Usually I try to write reviews after receiving the service, but I waited on this one because you can't really tell if pest control is working until time passes. The house I moved into had the worst bug infestation is ever seen in my life. There were living and dead roaches in every single cabinet and drawer when I moved in. It was so bad that a roach crawled in the middle of my husband's sandwich during the few moments the sandwich was in the counter in between bites. Philip came and sprayed the house, inside and out, before we moved our furniture. He was happy that we hadn't moved furniture in yet and said that her be able to give us more powerful bug killing as a result. Since it's been two years since his initial visit, I don't remember exactly how long it took for the roaches to die out. I think he told me within a week ie two, but I believe that virtually all died within the first day or two and within a week, the remaining superbugs were dead, too. Six months later, I called him again, but this time for ants. They sprayed a formula around the house and yard. The ant killer is said to be green and safe for pets. My cat was fine. I purchased a two year warranty on the ants and had him come out to respray this past spring, which he did without issue. I've had no issues with either ants or roaches, even though the weather has been painfully hot. I would definitely recommend using them. The only advice I have to give is to give them extra time to arrive. The L.A.traffic can be brutal. read more

Said he would text me with arrival date and time. Never texted me, then arrived unannounced. I was at work and obviously could not receive him. I assumed it was just a misunderstanding, but all attempt to reschedule resulted in similar behavior. Extremely unprofessional and unreliable, will not try again, and cannot recommend to anyone. read more

I initially had Phil come spray for an ant infestation in Sept of 2019. He gave me a one year guarantee. Nearly two years later we finally had our first sign of any ants again. I happily had him come back. He's quick, punctual and professional. Fully recommend. read more

Ant problem was resolved with one call! The entire process only took 30min, so the price seemed a bit steep, but we've had no choice but to trust the service crew, the ant parade was hitting our nerves. They told us to wait for two days to see the results. Two days has passed and ant invasion ceased completely. It's already been two month, but not ants in sight at this point. Highly recommended to fellow yelpers. If like to do it annually. I'd give five star service, products, and results with three star pricing. read more

Back in December, plumbers had to flush one of my drains and when they did, the wall outside became covered - COVERED - with bugs and spiders of all kinds. It was like a scene out of a horror movie. In fact, as I stepped out to check on the progress, one of the plumbers slowly said to me, "You might want to go inside..." That combined with all the ants who loved hanging out inside my home and would often help themselves to kitty food and an overabundance of crickets... I needed to get some help. Much like you, I searched Yelp for some recommendations. Everguard was the most expensive option, but I liked them for two reasons: 1) They only need to come out once and there's a one year guarantee... This means no quarterly visits where you need to let some random person inside, and 2) The stuff they spray inside is non-toxic to pets. One of my kitties is too curious for his own good and I wouldn't put it past him to lap up whatever spray residue he could find. So I called, he came, and I watched. In less than a week, no more ants... No more crickets! It was like magic. Philip waved his magic wand and poof! My home is my own again. I highly recommend Everguard, especially if you have indoor pets, children, or just don't want someone stopping by monthly/quarterly. It's worth it! read more

I set up an appointment to have extermination work done. The person did not show, did not call, and did not respond to my call/text following up. I really "hate" leaving a bad review, especially if I haven't used a person. Nonetheless, given that several prior reviews expressed the same issue, I was moved to do so in this case. read more

An amazingly honest business run by an awesome, straight forward business owner. I had a wasp or hornets nest on my front porch so i called to see about having someone come out. Phillip, the owner, pulled no BS, no trying to rip off a naive girl, none of the normal stuff that goes on when single woman need household help. He told me how to take care of it myself and saved me over $60! You don't often find business owners this honest. Highly recommended! read more

We were having an ant issue for a couple of months. I know people say "Oh, it's just the hot weather, etc etc." I don't care, I hate bugs. In the past, we had quarterly treatments with Terminix. It was going well for more than a year...until the ants actually invaded our kitchen the day AFTER a scheduled treatment was performed. We called, and they came back to treat, but at that point, I had already lost faith in Terminix, or any big company for that matter. This time around, we decided to try and get rid of the ants ourselves through home remedies. We used vinegar, diatomaceous earth, ant terra baits, peppermint oil...we tried them all. Nothing really worked well. The ants would leave, and then come back a few days later. Random ants would be crawling pretty much all over the house. It was infuriating. After 2 months of trying to do it ourselves, I decided to call Phil at Everguard. We were losing the battle. I found his company through the neighborhood Nextdoor app, and found even more positive reviews on Yelp. We chose him because of his 1 year guarantee. Most of the other companies we called were only giving a 2 month guarantee. Phil was very responsive, professional and knowledgeable. He's been in the business for several decades, and his passion for pest control was evident. It's been almost 2 weeks now and we haven't seen a single ant! I'm so glad we called Phil. I was concerned and just so desperate to be ant-free. If you're having an ant issue, don't hesitate to give Phil a call. You won't regret it. An added plus is that he uses organic pesticide. read more

A mouse decided to break in to my tenants home one chilly night. After a week of trying to catch the smart critter, my tenant had enough of the cat and mouse game. I called Ever Guard and spoke with Phillip. He came to my house, after a bit of a cat and mouse game with our schedule and was very helpful. He assessed the situation and came up with a game plan. Phillip is professional and accessible. He wasn't able to show up as promised the first time around but made a late house call to make up for it. He was very knowledgeable, direct and I will refer friend's to him and call him again, if ever I should need help with pests, rodents and the uninvited guest. read more

Disclaimer: I haven't actually used their services yet. So me and my roommates think we might have bed bugs so I have been calling around trying to find a good deal on an inspection. I called this place and to my surprise the person who answered was extremely helpful and even told me how to do my own initial self inspection before paying for services. This person seemed extremely knowledgable, helpful and most of all very honest. Going to do a self inspection tonight and if signs of bed bugs are visible, we will definitely be using this exterminator! read more

Last night I saw a cockroach in my kitchen. First thing this morning I called Ever Guard. I explained what had happened and Phil told me that with one sighting I probably didn't have a problem and didn't necessarily need to do anything. I explained my paranoia on the topic however, and he suggested the following solution. He would come out and check on things. If it looked like I had a problem, he would spray for it. Otherwise, he would spray a preventative for my peace of mind. Since the preventative was only $99, I was sold. Some other reviews have mentioned no shows. Since he agreed to see me on the same day, it was certainly not an issue. Everything was taken care of. The preventative does indeed smell a lot like root beer, as described. In addition to spraying in the kitchen where the sighting had occurred, Phil also sprayed the baseboards throughout the rest of the house. In addition to being professional and doing exactly what he had said he would do, he was also friendly with my children which is always a plus. I am definitely keeping the number and would call again for any future problems.L read more

Everguard Exterminators - Pest Control Near Me

It has been almost a year since Everguard and Phil has been to my property to spray for spider problem that i had. I am completely satisfied with the detail and attention he gave my home- no more creepy crawlers. I manage several properties and I have dealt with numerous pest control companies. I can tell you Everguard gets it done and makes sure its done. He has serviced my home for spider's and my sister's home for roaches. He avoided tenting my sister's house and eradicated on the first spray. Phil is in hot demand but if you want it done right, be patient. read more

I contacted Philip about a bedbug problem I had in my apartment specifically my living room Ikea couch. Philip's daughter in law, came to my apartment when I was not there and serviced the apartment. I did not meet her but she was very nice over the phone & trustworthy. However 2 weeks later I found healthy looking bedbugs, so Philip came back for free and did his thing (again I wasn't in my apartment to meet him). But unfortunately, 3 weeks later I find newer healthy bedbugs, Philip came back again and this time I made sure to meet him and figure out how we can resolve this matter. He did a more "aggressive treatment" on the couch so I was told. Urghhhhh then 2 weeks later healthy looking bedbugs still. I couldn't take it anymore, trashed the couch and bought a new Ikea couch. I'm giving 2 out of 5 stars because the service didn't live up to its expectations. Now I sincerely appreciate the 2 follow ups Philip did, very nice of him but I said over $400 for a service and I expected results. Now, Philip will say because I rent my couch on Airbnb and have such a high turn over, this was bond to happen. I suppose but after being treated 3x times in the course of 7 weeks, I can not believe I have that many couch crashers who have bedbugs. Upon buying the new couch, I texted Philip to give him a heads up and I never heard back from him. I would've given a 5 star review if he had responded back and at least offer me 50% reimbursement of service. read more

I had a horrible ant issue for about a year. I tried all of the traditional remedies that you could buy at the local store or amazon. They all worked for a day or so. Then I looked here on yelp and found Everguard. Phil called me back right away and explained the process. I was sold when he said it was guaranteed for a year. He told me the price, which is what i probably paid in chemicals over the last couple of years. Its been over a month now and I am happy to say that I am still pest free. Phil was fast, easy going and overall just great. HIGHLY RECOMMEND read more

I had what I thought was a small roach problem in my kitchen. In the past year, I'd see one every couple months, so I decided not to do anything other than spray some Raid around the perimeter of my house and inside the kitchen cabinets and sink. Well the experts say that eventually Raid loses it's effectivity as roaches build an immunity to it. Apparently, they're right. Over the past month, my roach problem got a whole lot worse. I started seeing more of them...particularly baby roaches, which means they were multiplying rapidly. There are a lot of little nooks and crannies in my kitchen which would be highly conducive to nesting. My cat was patrolling the kitchen around-the-clock, staring nonstop at this one corner of the room that she presumably discovered to be a high-roach-traffic area. I guess it was only a matter of time. I eventually stumbled upon Philip who gave me his sales pitch over the phone and billed himself as a "pest eliminator" vs. a "pest control" service who does a purposely mediocre job in hopes of signing you up for a monthly service. I called a bunch of exterminators before I spoke to Philip, and this sounded about right. He seemed like a no b.s. kind of guy and offered to spray my whole house for $150 total since it's only 760 square feet, as well as a 60-day guarantee. Sounds fair to me. I called the day before our appointment to confirm (did you?) and he and his partner ended up showing up as planned. They were finished and outta there in 10 minutes, give or take. Philip met me outside and told me that he saw tons of roaches and fecal matter come out of hiding as soon as he sprayed and the problem was probably worse than I ever imagined. He also told me that I had left my weed paraphernalia and box of condoms out in the open, "but don't worry, I took care of that for ya." LOL. Thanks bro! The next day, I saw a couple roaches come out to die like he warned me about, but nothing since. A week has now passed and I can proudly say I'm roach-free! The feeling is indescribable! Thanks Everguard! read more

Broken Promise & Bad Attitude We were repeat customers of Everguard Exterminators, but we won't be after a very bad experience during which Phil not only broke his contractual promise, but also displayed a horrible attitude. Phil last sprayed our property on July 20, 2017, giving us a "1-year" guarantee until "7-20-18" as per the Service Inspection Report. On July 18, 2018, the ants were back. That is admittedly close to a year, but if you bought a car with a one-year guarantee, would you hesitate to call in the guarantee if the car broke down a few days before the year was up? So I called Phil the next day. He was a bit miffed, calling it "ironic" that the ants returned so close to the anniversary, but ok. He asked for a video of the ant trail, which I provided. He replied with a thumbs up. On July 20, I texted him: "Can we please schedule the treatment? Thank you very much." (This and all quotes below are verbatim.) Phil replied: "Yes we can I only days off and now are Thursday and Friday of next week everything else is booked and pick a day but make it sure it's after 11 AM I am working out of San Bernardino right now where at least until October." On the same day, I texted back: "Either Thursday or Friday next week would work for me." On July 21, I suggested to him: "Thursday at noon?" No response from Phil. On July 23, I texted him: "Can you please confirm when you are coming on Thursday or Friday? As I texted earlier, either day works for me as of now, but I'd like to have a time certain or a not too wide window of time on one of the two so I can plan accordingly. Thanks." To which I received this memorable response from Phil: "Do you think it's only you I do it all the time just about every day" I gritted my teeth and wrote back to Phil: "Not sure what prompted this reply. All I am asking for is a time certain or a not too wide window of time on either thursday or Friday, which are the two days you indicated earlier are possible for you." No response since then. Thursday and Friday of last week (July 26 & 27) came and went and the ants are still dancing on our kitchen counter. You'll be the judge whether that's the proper way to interact with a customer and whether you want to be treated this way. read more

There's nothing fun about hearing a critter living under your house. It's downright creepy! We had another exterminator that we used for termites when we bought the house and the occasional ant spraying. Unfortunately, that exterminator (who I will not name), basically lied to me that he didn't see any sign of anything living under the house when I asked him to come by and check it out. I know this because 1) I accidentally left the gate locked to our house and it would not have been easy for him to get into the house and 2) thanks to Everguard, we know there was a rat living under the house. Our little furry nightmare did seem to disappear for a while, but when we heard it again we sought a new exterminator. I always like to support independent businesses and chose Everguard based on some good Yelp reviews. Philip did not disappoint. First of all, him and his wife are super friendly and he never felt like he was trying to sell us anything. Their quote seemed very reasonable, although admittedly I did not shop around. He identified points of entry into the house that he would need to seal up and he also spotted droppings confirming the critter did exist. He set up some traps around the house and came back once a week to check on things, letting me know that I could call him at anytime if we caught one. The traps didn't catch the critter and we opted to seal the house after not hearing the bugger for a while. We were hopeful that we sealed the guy out, but after a few days a horrible stench started creeping into the house. I called Philip on a Sunday night and he was there Monday to remove the stinky dad rat. He then proceeded to fog under the house with an antiseptic. Philip was great throughout the whole process and he won our business! (Although I sincerely hope I don't need much of his business) read more

I called Phil this morning about a black widow with an egg sac outside my house. It's the 3rd we've seen in a week. He said that he couldn't make it out today or tomorrow because of previous appointments, but he gave me another company to call that he used to work with. Phil even took the time to advise me what to ask for so that I wouldn't be taken advantage of due to my ignorance of what needed to be done and my desperation to have awful spiders away from me. In addition to the above, he also told me that if the new company was telling me something different and I didn't understand I could call him back and he'd walk me through it. All this for a customer who he couldn't service. When we need any pest control I will be calling Ever Guard.
