My parents were interred there, the remains in ground over 10 yrs ago. I visit with flowers every other week. This year, couldn't . Why....well the area where my parents are interred has been wrecked with havoc and disarray. I complained starting this summer. Was told that they will have grounds crew repair the area. I could not find my parents graves....it was laden with clods and clumps of grass and MUD. I literally had to dig my parents grave marker out. Then there was no vase...I paid for a vase..could not leave flowers. I waited and called weekly only to be told the grounds crew were busy and I was " on the list". A month and a half passed, got the call all was fixed. Went two days later. Nope. Called again....Told they would work on it. That was September. got call at end of October...all is fixed. Nope. It's now December...and the attached pictures again...could not find my parents grave. Had to dig it out again. Was told this was due to 2 problems : 1) ATOMOSPHERIC conditions and 2) GRUB issues. I went to the front desk....and I KNOW they are not responsible but they only could try and placate me with " I know you are angry and have feelings about this...I will have the director call you tomorrow". Totally disrespectful to my parents. And this has been going on for over 5 months. If you had fixed it...where is the vase???? I still could not leave flowers for my parents....it's a muddy mess. Why do I have to do your clean up and dig out my parents grave markers???? I am thinking of removing my parents and placing them somewhere that cares.

I was originally going to refrain from posting photos, but I changed my mind. This is a very old photo - August 2015. Me at E.W. cemetery.

It's Father's Day today, and my late Father is buried in the cemetery here, and we held his funeral here. My late paternal Grandparents are also buried here - right next to my late Father, and we held their death ceremonies here, too. In addition, when I had Stage 3 cancer and had a 50% chance of survival 7 years ago (I'm clearly still alive, and have been cancer-free for the entire 7 years, yay), I went with my husband to this funeral home in order to purchase my coffin and my grave together, in case I didn't make it, so that he didn't have to do it alone if he lost me. We bought my grave nearby the graves of my Dad, my Grandfather, and my Grandmother, since these were the closest people in life to me. I wish I could remember the gentleman's name that my husband and I worked with. He was so kind and so gentle. I remember that he looked my husband straight in the eye and said, "Do you know what a gift your wife is giving you by doing this?" He also said that I have a fighting spirit and that he didn't think that the cancer was going to take me at that time. I felt genuinely encouraged and supported by this man emotionally, and it did not escape me that if I would've died the funeral home would've made more money, since they would've been hosting my funeral as well in that case, but this gentleman was genuinely encouraging me to fight and to keep on living. This is such a sensitive and personal thing, and this gentleman handled it all with such grace and thoughtfulness. I really can't say enough about the wonderful customer service that we received from him. This review is very belated, but I've only been a very active yelper for a couple of years now, so that's why. I never even thought to review this funeral home until now. So many people have lost people to COVID over this past year, and I want to tell you all that I'm sorry for your losses, and I understand, and I would highly recommend this funeral home for all of your needs. Some of the other reviews have mentioned tall grass and lack of care of the grounds here. They've posted photos so I'm sure they're right, however, I have visited my late Father's grave and my late paternal Grandparents' graves countless times over the past 7 - 15 years (my Dad died 15 years ago of a heart arrhythmia, and my Grandparents died very close to each other about 7 years ago after having been married for 65 years!), and I've never seen the grounds looking like that. Granted, I can go months without visiting - I usually visit on special days that meant something to us and also on some holidays. I've found the grounds to be well kept up on my own visits. It is a peaceful, park-like setting to honor those who are no longer with us. I was originally going to refrain from posting photos because I personally think that it's disrespectful to post photos of grave sites, but I did find one very old photo that I do not think is disrespectful, so I changed my mind. This photo was taken in August 2015, one year after I beat cancer. Since it's Father's Day, I will post a few lines from the Memory Book that I created for my late Father, that was on display at his funeral, and to which many of his friends, colleagues, and family contributed: "I remember B [my Dad, he was a very private person so I know he wouldn't want his name in a public review] as a kind, considerate, and compassionate nephew." - Aunt M "I was impressed by his cheerful outlook in the face of adversity, and his positive influence on his family." - Leo [my husband] "I treasure B's friendship and his goodness. He always had a kind word, and we laughed together whenever we talked." - Rob [friend and former colleague] "I found B to be a caring person with a generous heart who was devoted to the young people that he served. With B's high intellect and keen wit, he was an outstanding and excellent advocate in court and had the ability to analyze the needs and treatment of youth in a fair-minded and profound way. B was an exceptional role model for young people and helped many children through difficult times. If success can be measured by devotion and the number of youth he encouraged, then B's life was a triumph." - Bill [friend and former colleague] [This letter was written 15 years ago and it still makes me cry tears of gratitude every single time that I read it, thank you so much, Bill, for writing this about my late Dad.] During 4 separate incredibly difficult times personally, where I was either in the throes of very deep grieving, or else staring my own mortality in the face (terrified, but bravely), it felt comforting and reassuring to me that this funeral home took care of all of the practical things that we needed with such attentiveness and care. Thank you so much, Evergreen Washelli. We truly appreciate you. If you have lost someone that you loved, honor them on special days, if that feels comforting to you. And, you may want to consider this funeral home, for the practical matters.

I cannot begin to express the level of service, kindness and empathy I received from Washelli, once again. I have unfortunately had to use their exceptional services twice in the last 2 months, this time as well as the last time, I am overwhelmed by all the support and superior service. No other funeral home does it like this. I am forever grateful. Danielle, Alejandro, Katrina, Rico, Ely and Scott are just a few of the standout's.

Yelp 100 Challenge 2018 - #55/100 A wonderful service to celebrate the beautiful life of our loved one. A solemn place to reminisce good times and say our final goodbyes. Parking was adequate, and restroom clean. Staff were wonderful.

My sister's passing occurred in the midst of the corona pandemic and the commencement of stay at home orders. The situation was evolving rapidly. We went from being able to hold a funeral service of 50 people to all services being suspended in a matter of one day. During this already difficult time for my family and I, these circumstances made it even more upsetting and anxiety-provoking. Throughout this process Nikole, our funeral director went ABOVE AND BEYOND what I ever could've asked for to help us navigate it all. Her warmth radiated from the second my family and I met her. She is so understanding and compassionate but also extremely knowledgeable and flexible. She would adapt to every unforeseen obstacle and come up with a suitable alternative. Even on her normal day off, she would check up to make sure things were going smoothly. This was my first experience organizing funeral services and my heart goes out to anyone reading this review and having to undergo this process. I had talked to other homes and made several appointments at other places but ended up canceling them all after meeting Nikole and Washelli family. We knew they would take care of us and never once felt like it was a "sale" they were trying to make. I highly recommend!

Seattle aurora location. I never thought I would review this place but I am so disappointed in the sloppy grounds here. Very disrespectful to the families and those who have passed. This is not a fluke either because I have been here same time last year burying my mom and the grass was tall. They pride themselves on the grounds? I don't think so. Posting a few pics. This has looked like this definitely the last year here On three occasions I have came. Really disappointed. Hope you will clean up your grounds. This is very unacceptable. You've have the same Excuse for far too long about being short staffed.

Too many urban cemeteries spiritlessly surrender to the angular shapes imposed on their grounds by the city fathers. Evergreen-Washelli is large enough to lose the city, spread amid towering native trees and along a sunny meadow. There are spaces into which one might look away: from long views of the trees so green they're black to the radiant ranks of the military section. As with most cemeteries I seldom encounter mourners, but the evidence of their passing -fresh flowers, a flag replaced- is everywhere. The grounds are immaculately kept. Evergreen-Washelli is just up Aurora Avenue from Quiring Monuments, much of whose work appears throughout their grounds.

How they treat the deceased on Mother's Day. Embarrassing.

It had become one of the lovliest smaller cemeteries around the Puget Sound and Snohomish areas. What I found puzzling though, was the required measurements of the cemeteries headstones. They said that they had specific guidelines to the size. Mine started off in a fairly decent large size, but was literally cut down to much smaller dimensions that I had originally invisioned for my loved ones. It was disappointing, but I just needed to get that headstone made and placed over their grave. Pacific Coast Memorials did a superb job putting it together inspite of the difficult measurements they were given to work with. My husband and son were buried in the same casket and the same plot. After two years of waiting for it to be made, delivered and installed at the cemetery because of Covid, I noticed that so many of the other headstones were bigger. There were even monument size ones here and there. Why did they make me cut back my measurements so drastically? My headstone was swallowed up by hovering ones nearby. I just found out why! It's because we had purchased only one plot. At least they are both buried under a large apple tree....a fruit they mutually loved and a plot that was easily seen from the main street. I can drive by and spot their resting place immediately. All is forgiven!

For Memorial Day, the Daughters of the American Revolution Susan Woodin chapter sponsored an event…read morecalled "Woodinville Pioneers Come to Life!" which was a living tribute to honor some of Woodinville's earliest pioneers laid to rest there. The event was planned from 12 noon til 3pm and kicked off with the local Boy Scouts raising the American flag half mast to honor those Veterans who paid the ultimate sacrifice for their service. The DAR organization had actors dressed in period-piece clothing that were scattered at the grave sites of Woodinville's founding fathers. In full garb, the actors shared the unique history of the pioneer's life they portrayed. Some of the characters I encountered were: Clara Teegarden, Woodinville's first school teacher, Susan Woodin, who founded Woodinville and Seneca Phyllis, a Union Civil War soldier, among many others. The actors did an amazing job staying in character while sharing each of their character's local history. The ladies at the DAR table were great - they welcomed visitors to the cemetery and explained what to expect during their cemetery walking tour. Many flyers were on the table that explained DAR and how to get involved with the organization. If any "future Daughter" was interested in tracing their genealogy back to a potential Revolutionary Patriot, DAR would be available to help. There were many children at the event who were engaged learning about the local history as well.....maybe it was because the DAR had trivia questions for the kids and if they answered correctly, received a cookie loot bag for their efforts. :) Nevertheless, the kids all seemed to have a good time. The Cemetery itself was beautifully manicured and well kept. Not a large piece of land, but I understand that plots are still available for purchase. There were many flowers on headstones and flags due to the holiday. Mother Nature cooperated with sun for most of the afternoon. Limited parking available. A fun and informative afternoon had by all.
