We have two family members buried here and I've been coming here to visit most of my life. When I was a teenager I used to take the bus here. It's a quiet and peaceful cemetery and safe. There used to be a rule that you had to be catholic to be buried here, but that's no longer the case. People take a lot of care in their family members burial sites. We have family buried at Evergreen Washelli and I've noticed more care here than there. On Memorial Day they do a very nice remembrance with flags and a sign to write memories. The grounds are also kept very nice.

My dearest, best friend Johan is buried here and I love visiting. The trees are my favorite. That's all I can really say. Lovely.

Only a couple block away, the dead have a better view here than I have at home. In the spring, the cherry blossoms are fantastic.

Worst funeral home ever. So many mistakes and problems I can't even name them all. I've dealt…read morewith multiple agents there and each is as bad as the next. And the price is quite high, over $4000 just for a simple burial of cremains (cremation done out of state, not by Evergreen Waschelli) in a plot that the family already owns. And that's with name etching on an existing stone that's already in place, with no removal of the stone needed. I'm going there today and I'll bet that my mom's name is still not on the stone and that her obituary still won't be showing up on their website. Ugh

We were completely dismayed to find the area where they are buried, covered in about 5 inches of decaying maple leaves. I used my shoe and tried to kick away the thick layer of debris, trying to expose her grandparents name plates. After about 15 minutes, we gave up. When I returned home, I went online and filled out a form that was right on their website and told them how unacceptable this was to my mother, and asking for someone to please reach out to me after it had been cleaned up so that we could try again.. It has been two weeks and no one has reached out to me regarding my concern with the lack of upkeep. So perhaps next year, I will call them and make sure the area has been maintained before driving the hour and a half.

PLEASE READ! The last thing that I want to be doing during my moment of grief is writing a review…read more However, my experience with this place was so egregious that my conscience would bother me immensely if I thought for one moment that another grieving individual would come across this place and read only the good reviews and think this is a choice for them. I have lost many people in my life from grandparents to children and many others in between, and so I have had a lot of experience in this area. In my experience, people in the funeral services business are some of the kindest, most empathetic people out there. I always considered them angels on God's mission. If you feel that way too, stay as far away from this place as possible. Below is my complete experience with elemental cremation and burial, conversation verbatim, no edits: I research their website, read google and yelp reviews, decide to call them first: Elemental: may I help you? Me: I just found out my mother passed away, I found you online and after reading your reviews, I really hope that I have called the right place. Elemental: so you want some prices? (Note: this is verbatim. No "my condolences" no "I'm sorry for your loss", nothing). Me: um. I guess. Most importantly, I'd like to speak to someone about making arrangements and having her taken care of right away. She passed away at home, and my sister is there with her right now and I'm out of state. Elemental: so you want prices then? Me: wow. Um yeah i guess but thats not my main concern. My mom has been in the house with my sister awhile so i want to know how soon you can pick her up? .....Hello? Are you still there? Elemental: hold music playing. Me: hangs up call in complete shock. For the record, I am not an overly emotional, touchy-feely, kind of person. And so I really wasn't looking for a lot sympathy wise. But given the line of work they are in I expected a little bit more than what I got especially in comparison to all of my previous experiences. I cannot imagine anyone signs up to be treated like this on such a sad day in their life. I get it, I understand that they're in the business to make money and want to make sure they get paid, but if this is how they do it, that's really sad. There are so many wonderful, compassionate, amazing places out there doing this work. Places that find gentle and respectful ways to talk to you about money while also respecting your grief. I felt like that was 101 in this business, guess i was wrong. In other words, had I stayed away from elemental cremation & burial, I would not have had to take time out of everything else that needs to be done, to sit down and write a review about this awful place. But like i said, i can't risk someone else choosing this place after reading the glowing reviews i read. No one wants to send their loved ones off with people as disrespectful as this; And no dearly departed wants their loved ones left behind to be treated like this.

Once we made a visit to Return Home, the choice was easy. The staff was kind, compassionate, and professional, all with a sense of moderation that made discussions comfortable. We signed our prearrangement with confidence we took a step that will make things easier for our family. Little did we know we would need to make funeral arrangements a son of ours before our own time came. Our phone call to Return Home was answered immediately, and Director of Family Care, Brie Smith, took care of the logistical tasks, then worked with us to set up a memorial service for the family that we conducted in a lovely space on site. Following the memorial service, we made visits to our son as he was undergoing his terramation journey. We sat with him and admired the decorations and pictures so lovingly placed by the family during the service. Now, he has returned to our home and continues to be a part of our lives in our garden. Thank you Return Home for the great care of our dear son, and the kind attention you paid to our needs. Everyone we encoutered at Return Home on our visits treated us with the same considerate manner we experienced with Brie. We now have first-hand knowledge of what our own family will experience when they work with Return Home on our behalf. We could not be more pleased.
