Attended a memorial at this place. My friend's husband had his services there today. They were very disappointed, as her emails with questions and plans were not returned for a long period of time. They finally responded after complaining about their poor contact. In addition, sitting in the back, we couldn't hear anything the speaker was saying. I flagged the guy down to tell him he needs to turn up the speakers. Um, isn't that apparent? Or part of his job? When the slide show was being viewed, I never realized there was music that was playing. Again, the manager didn't notice or do anything to accommodate the program. What a shame! Washelli has not been so irresponsible at the funerals I have attended elsewhere. The family I suggest you monitor your manager read more

My dad died over at Evergreen Hospice, and it was a tough time. From the time they were called to pick up his body, to the final cremation & internment, the staff were nothing but respectful, and considerate. Those two key words reflected the entire process with them. I was there when they moved & wrapped my Fathers body, to when they loaded him up in the hearse for transport. All done with the utmost of care and honor, and allowed me to help in the process. They took no offense to any of my questions, and I can tell you that Wayne Kuehl is a serious professional, in a role that he was meant to have with his talents, abilities, and demeanor. I do nothing but compliment him and his fine staff for the care they provided for my mother and the rest of our family in the tough time of realizing the practicalities of the situation. I live in Australia, but I would warmly refer Wayne, his staff, and his facilities to anyone in need for his services. My sister Kathy died during the Christmas Season. I wanted to bake cookies and drink egg nog with her not plan her funeral. I had no idea what to do and began calling funeral homes. To say they were creepy was an understatement. I dialed Evergreen-Washelli at Bothell and held my breath. Katrina Jacobson and I spoke for several minutes, but I knew after a minute or two I would use Evergreen-Washelli at Bothell to celebrate the life of my sister. Funeral director, Kevin Smith, put me at ease immediately despite the task of the necessary questioning. Kevin is a genuinely kind man whose demeanor is one of caring and grace. The level of professionalism shown by Kevin and Katrina was exemplary. I am not a fan of the traditional funeral nor was my sister. Kathy had a wonderful sense of humor and liked to laugh. Kevin and his staff have the broadminded view that allows one to tailor funeral services to make each event unique. Moreover, they were flexible and creative while planning Kathy's Life Celebration, offering creative ideas to make the celebration pertinent to Kathy's life and memorable to all who attended. Overall, we were treated with compassion and professionalism in every possible way. The passing of our loved one was sudden and we were in a swirl of emotion coupled with needing to address arrangements. During a difficult time, Karen/Washelli was one of the few positive experiences we had, and time and again, her response time and insight were above and beyond what we hoped for -- and all of this during the height of the 2020 virus pandemic. We unexpectedly lost someone who was very loved in very difficult circumstances. It was very difficult to cope let alone figure out what to do. Karen made it so much easier - she just took care of everything, and took care of it thoughtfully, with compassion and care, and was just able to make that entire side of things something that we didn't have to think about. The staff here was SO helpful, friendly and flexible. They were very affordable (I rented their chapel area and hired their celebrant to do the ceremony). Dale their celebrant was uplifting and paid close attention so that our friends and family felt as though he knew my dad. The space is lovely. When we came on the day of the service they moved furniture, hung pictures and signs and let us set up however felt right. So easy to work with and kind in my time of need. They really let you do whatever you want to have the day you want to have in memory of your loved one. read more

Our mother passed away during the Covid lock down when many businesses were closed. Karen Reynolds, the funeral director, who was working alone and without any of her staff, was extremely helpful to us and kept us informed throughout the entire process. She was caring, kind, supportive and answered all of our many questions. She has even been available to us after the process when we had other questions and she continues to let us know that we can call her with any questions we may have in the future. Working with Kevin Smith and Leah Arnold at Evergreen Washelli was seamless from beginning to end. During a very hard time they provided excellent service with care and professionalism. Kevin and Leah were both very nice to work with, and at every step of the process we felt we could reach out to them and receive reliable information and good service. At no time did we feel pressured or like we were getting pitched. At one point there was a miscommunication with the hospital, and Kevin made a special phone call while he was out of town to make sure the situation was handled with no inconvenience to us. The reception was set up beautifully, the staff were very kind to our guests and easy to work with, the food was great, and they even used one of our favorite Seattle bakeries (Borracchinis) for the memorial cake. We are so grateful we chose Evergreen Washelli, and highly recommend them if you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of needing funeral services. If I could give them 100 stars, I would. Losing my grandmother is easily the hardest thing my family and I have experienced so far in life. Karen and Brian went above and beyond in helping us through this difficult time. Not only were they kind and compassionate, they were thoughtful and listened to us. When we showed up for my grandmother's service, they'd taken some "artistic liberties" in memory of my grandmother, placing angel feathers and shaws on tables for mementos. Karen listened when I told her my grandmother loved Stevie Nicks, and that she was a free spirit. Her and Brian took every step, and showed they cared. They made this service about my grandmother and who she was, and took it to a whole other level, that I couldn't have even imagined. I truly cannot express just how much easier they made this transition, how much they cared, the thought they put into it, the love for their profession shined through in so many ways. I would recommend them to anyone. They made us feel like family, and catered to our every need. They consistently showed support and compassion before, during and after services. If you need loving, supportive, kind and compassionate services for your loved one, I cannot think of a better qualified and dedicated place, than Lifetime Celebrations. Evergreen- Washelli just helped us with a memorial service, and they were wonderful to work with. Kevin and Katrina were caring & professional making this difficult time much easier for us. They took all the time we needed and were readily available to help us. Dale was our celebrant, and he did an amazing job... we couldn't be more pleased. We had it catered by All Catering, and they as well were great! There was plenty of food, beautifully displayed and delicious. The director at our Saturday service was Dwayne and his assistant Don, they were also great! The layout, sound system and overall experience we had at Washelli's - Bothell was outstanding.
