While scheduling the appointment, I have just been told, that because I said, "I didn't think it's heating like it should" That I now have to make an appointment for a " repair technician" that will cost $100+ for the visit. I asked "well then what am I paying for monthly who comes out for the free maintenance appointment?!? and she said something like well that's the "maintenance and safety technician". The "free" appointment that I pay for every month is only for the once a year visit by the "maintenance and safety technician" and because I simply said I don't think t's working quite like it should" now I have to pay $100+ for this visit. What?!? SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM!! Bait & SWITCH! I told her on the phone "OK, I take it back. Suddenly my heater is working beautifully. I need the free maintenance visit," she replied "well now that I've already said it wasn't working properly and it's been recorded, I have to pay the $100+ for the appointment. I became a total 'Karen' and asked to speak to someone on a higher level. I was furious!! She couldn't transfer me because it's a Saturday. She continued refusing to give me my standard free appointment (that I actually pay every month for). How does she know if the safety maintenance man can simply push a button and it starts to work better? She doesn't! SCAM!! SCAM!! SCAM!! SCAM!! Do NOT use this company! Fast forward two weeks and we get a bill that shows we are paying for 3 hours of work - I called to just ask how the hours were calculated but the front desk couldn't help me so I was transferred to someone else. I left a voicemail and never heard back. We ended up paying the bill but I'm a little frustrated we had to pay for the entire time window without a heads up when he was here half of that time. Probably would not use again just because of the billing issue.

Long story short--he found one on Amazon for $16 that I will get tomorrow. He also told me what I need to do when I get it. I should have known how to look for this online, but I just didn't. I wanted to pay for his time but he wouldn't accept any payment. The person that came to our house for the estimate has experience with HVAC installations and performed a thorough assessment of our residence to determine the HVAC size required. The bid documents were very detailed compared to other vendors and made the decision process easier. The price of work fell in the middle of all the bids we received from other contractors. On the day of the installation, we received a text that they were on the way and everyone arrived on time. The process of removing the old equipment and replacing it with new went very well. The work took two days and the entire time, everyone was professional and respectful of our property. Drop cloths were placed to protect the floors and no construction debris was left afterward where the work was done. The conduits, pipes, wires and access holes were well crafted/positioned and look very good. Kudos to Juan and Jayden for a great job. The electrical contractor was very thorough and their work also looked great. During the entire process, the attitude of the staff was very good and the team worked well together. At the end of day 2, the new HVAC units were turned on. We were given a "walk through" of the work that was done, and what to expect. We were provided with all the manuals and other paperwork for the new system. This contractor has finance options available, including a 0% interest loan. (Contact Expert Air for more info.) First of all, I NEVER received any instruction from the people who worked on the install and when it was completed the guy couldn't get away fast enough, I walked him to his car attempting to obtain some instruction and information how the system worked, he was in a hurry to catch ferry off the island. They left garbage behind for me to clean up. Today Wes a technician responded to a 2nd service call from me. He projected intimidation arrogance toward me a single elderly woman, he attempted to dominate the conversation not allowing me to speak my concerns, he ridiculed me, degraded me and when he started mocking me, I had had enough. I did not feel safe or comfortable around him, he told me in no uncertain words that he was tired of me wasting his and the companys time. I did report this to the owner Robby who of course defended Wes! He did say he would speak to him!

The crews that were here was quite good. the last two projects did not go well. The crews were not the same caliber as the first three crews. The problems with the fourth project was retified by the company. The last project that was done, it was clear that the crew didn't know what they were doing as far as the roof vents was concerned. I talked was the manager, Eric about the problem and he said that it would be a week before they could take care of the problem. That has been over 2 months. I had a technician come out a few days ago about another issue and he said he would let Eric know about the original issue that has not been addressed, still no response. I kind of feel like I'm dealing with a used car lot salesman that as soon as they get paid, They don't offer no assistance. The response that I got from Eric over two months ago was he wished that he hadn't taken on this job because they don't do roof vents on my type of roof. When I had another company clean my ducts during the summer, they noted the air scrubber wasn't working, was installed improperly and wasn't the brand I bought. I took it up with Tylor and he acquiesced, sending out a different group to replace the inferior unit with the one I was sold. I am elderly, and I wonder if I was being taken advantage of. Now it's time for my second cleaning. The girl who answered the phone admitted she was new and didn't know anything. She couldn't give me a price and never even asked who I was even though I told her I was a reoccurring customer. Having worked in customer service myself, it would seem the logical place to go would be to look up the customer and go from there. At this point, I emailed Tylor to see if he was interested in servicing the unit they installed. Crickets. It's surprising that Tacoma public utilities has this company as a recommended contractor for conservation. I used to work in the conservation unit and this would never happen in the 90s. If you only are looking for supply and install, they're great for that which is why I am still giving them 2 stars. Do not rely on this company for any follow up work. They hang you out to dry.
