They didn't arrive when they said they would and I had to make multiple calls to reschedule. It was very difficult to get them to call back. Even when they finally did they didn't arrive on the day they said they would and rescheduled but didn't show again. They finally did show and about an hour into the job I went outside to find one of their workers urinating on the side of our fence. They did not sand properly (we paid the total for the job) and we've tried to get them to come back out to complete the job. Frank came out and said he'd schedule the repair but he never did and now no one returns our calls. They also said they sealed it but we have moss growing in the surface of our pavers. Avoid this company. You will end up being disappointed.

Upfront: Coordinating with Rios was easy. Freddie was super responsive / really friendly and was able to come by the site with 2 days to assess the project. I was expecting a response / estimate back within 1-2 days but it took more like week. I was not in a hurry with the project so this delay didn't matter too much. Paver Patio: The crew worked very efficiently. They were able to remove grass / soil the first day and bring in new soil, sand, pavers the following day. In total - it took the team 3 days (not full days - they had to stop work on one of the days because it started to rain so hard) to complete the project. Other Notes: Once the paver patio was complete - the last piece of the project was to fill a certain area with river rocks. When I called to ask when the rocks will be put in I was told "this afternoon" and the next time "tomorrow". This was probably my only negative experience of working with Rios. I was not in a hurry so I didn't mind if the rocks were put in the same day, next day or a few days later. As a customer - I didn't appreciate not having the actions align with what I was told. Again - overall, i am happy with the project. The patio looks good.

We worked with Gabe, Martin, Leo and Leah (among others) to completely remake our backyard. We…read morecouldn't be happier with the result! Gabe and Martin walked through before the start of the project to ensure they understood how to translate the plans into reality. Sage and Stone also worked with us on options to reduce the overall scope and budget, for instance suggesting we could lower costs a bit by doing some of the demolition and prep work ourselves (which we did). The project started on schedule and the team reliably showed up every single day for the next ten weeks. We had them remove and create a new retaining wall with Techo-Blocs, relocate a freestanding structure onto new footings, install pavers under the structure, and install a new composite deck. The team also leveled out and rebuilt a small path in the yard, evening out a slope and creating a more graceful grade by installing large 4' black granite steps. Everything was edged using Colmet to keep the lines clean and they even installed a freestanding outlet in the yard to bring power to the seating area. There were minor adjustments along the way and the team showed great attention to detail. For instance, the freestanding structure posts required a skirt to conceal the post brackets. These were hand scribed onsite and featured backcut cedar with an elegant slope, cleanly mitrered and sealed joints, and most importantly, sealed undersides to protect them from water damage. Small details like aligning paver joints with the natural lines in the steps or landing, finding materials to patch up areas of the house that were newly exposed by the updated deck profile, and concealing electrical lines were most appreciated. When the inevitable issues arose, Martin walked us through the situation and we quickly reached a suitable outcome that he effectively managed. I can't stress enough how hard everyone worked and that effort consistently carried to the end of the day until they cleaned up the jobsite. Tools were neatly arranged and materials were moved into inconspicuous places before the crew left everyday. The yard looks fantastic and we love spending time out there. We're extremely happy with their work and would love to work with them again! Highly recommended.

However, less than a year after the completing the work the top patio stones started shifting. The last row of paver have almost completely tilted into the bed next to it. Despite, my contacting them several times and giving them the opportunity to respond and fix the problem they have chosen not to. I believe a good company takes responsibility for and pride in its work. The lack of follow up and response from them has been truly disappointing.
