I would not recommend this company. I filled out their online service request and received a call within about five minutes. I explained exactly what I needed, and I was quoted $120 for the job. We scheduled the appointment for 9:00 a.m. the next day. On the day of the appointment, they called and asked me to send photos of the lock, which I did immediately. After waiting about 30 minutes without an update, I called to check on the appointment and was told someone would call me back. About 15 minutes later, I was told the locksmith would arrive in about an hour. The technician arrived late. Before doing any work, he told me the price would be $400. I explained that I had been quoted $120, and instead of explaining the difference professionally, he repeatedly asked me what I was thinking and implied that it was unreasonable to expect the work for the quoted price. I found his attitude unprofessional and insulting. I declined the service. A few minutes later, I received another call offering to do the job for $350, but by that point I had lost confidence and again declined. I then called Milo's Locksmith, where I was quoted $200, which seemed like a fair and transparent price. It took an hour for the person to arrive and then a few min to unlock the door. The charge was: Service Call Fee - $29 and Labor/Unlock - $170, which by itself is pretty outrageous. I locked myself out of my apartment today. My brother has a spare key but he is out of town. I was desparate to get back into my apartment so I called the first locksmith that I found on Google. The dispatcher answered within 7 seconds as they advertised. I received a call from the locksmith and he was here within 30 minutes. I had an old fashioned lock so he was able to pick it and got the door open without having to drill and change the lock. I was very relieved. It was expensive, $248. He quoted the price and I used my key to make sure it worked. I didn't get his name but he was very knowledgeable and got my door unlocked in about 5 minutes. The installer showed me that the key worked, but I didn't check if the bolt went into the wall. I called them up and asked them to fix their work, but instead, they wanted me to pay $60 to do the job right. They tried to tell me they had not done the work in the first place. They lied to me and tried to bamboozle me. I'll be going to the Better Business Bureau. And how is the "service" $29, but your "labor" (approximately 3 minutes he was at my house) is then another $170?! He then asked "well, what can you afford?" WHAT?! Clearly trying to take advantage of me. Unacceptable. I told him I could afford the price I was quoted. His response was "Come on... It's a Saturday... I got out of bed for this." Ron was great! I locked myself out of my new house late at night and needed back in pronto. Ron arrived within an hour of my call and quoted me a very reasonable (especially for the emergency nature) $134. As he worked, I mentioned that I had 'call a locksmith' on my to do list to change out the semi-working deadbolt and rekey the locks. He told me he could change the deadbolt right then with what he had or I could get the new lock myself and he would come back (which he gave me a quote for). Overall, Ron was fantastic. I appreciated how courteous and friendly he was, especially given the late night, stranger breaking into your house scenario that seems a creepy proposition. I have already gotten the new deadbolt and will be having him come back to install that soon. read more

I was quoted a ridiculously low price on the phone, then charged nearly $400 for a five minute job. Two young men arrived in an unmarked car with no uniform, no ID badges. They did not ask me to prove my ownership of the house I was locked out of, nor did they ask to see my ID. I called the company back and there was no answer. I left a message for the "Billing Dept." and did not get a call back. I have filed complaints with the Attorney General's office in Washington State as well as the Better Business Bureau.
