My friends and I had the Saag Paneer lunch, Lamb Pharsi, and Chicken Soup and Salad, and they were each so delicious and presented so exquisitely! The Lamb was presented in the traditional Indian metal bowl! My lunch came with both Naan bread and gluten-free crispy bread, which was a pleasant surprise!

Buffet items on the Saturday we visited

We noticed this restaurant when we were next door one weekend so made a mental note to come back and try it. They offer a buffet so we thought that would be a nice way for us to check out some of their dishes. When we arrived, there was a huge party taking up the entire middle of the restaurant. It was a large birthday party and they had pretty much already eaten so I think that was the reason some of the chafing dishes looked low. The dishes looked familiar but the one thing we really appreciated was the brown rice in the rice cooker. There is also a choice of white rice but we are brown rice fans so we were delighted. They kindly brought a basket of fresh plain naan to our table. Our favorites were the saag paneer and the butter chicken. The employees were slowly refilling some of the chafing dishes during our visit since some looked quite depleted (probably because of the big party). Servers are friendly and they stopped by to bus our dishes and check on everything. $14.99/person. Plenty of parking in the large lot shared with other businesses.

Been here a few times, and it's always delicious! I'm especially in love with the pizzas as the flavors are amazing with melty cheese~! First time trying Thakali Thali here, and it can feed 2 hungry people or 3 with small appetites. I ordered it with Saag Paneer, and it's very good. Highly recommend if you want something to share. The workers are always friendly and check in often. Overall, very very very delicious food!

Chicken Tandoori

Great food, great service. Everything tasted fresh and on point. We started with a mixed platter and then each ordered something separate. I had the Chicken Tandoori, which was tasty and plentiful. Our server provided great recommendations. If you like it hot, you can request sauce on the side. For three of us, ordering three entrees and an appetizer was too much... but great for leftovers (if that's your thing). Nothing fancy here... just great food.

Sometimes you just want Indian food and a buffet is the easiest way to sample a bunch of the tastiest dishes the wonderful cuisine has to offer. They bring unlimited fresh naan which really adds to the meal. Price is good and service is friendly and helpful.

I love this place. We were so excited to hear that this was coming to Cotati, we were there for opening day and just keep showing up because everything here is so great. By far my favorite thing is the vegetable thali, with all the selection of various items, it keeps your taste buds entertained. I love also their curries, they are well spiced and the shahi paneer is absolutely not to be missed. Service is fast, friendly and orders are always accurate. The quality of the ingredients of the dishes is high, spices are perfect, and portions are large - I always have leftovers for tomorrow which is great. I love this place. The only downside is the parking here which they have no control over, this parking lot is a hectic disaster but if you're willing to walk, it's all free. I hope they are wildly successful! I'll keep coming here because we are huge fans :)

I'm sorry that I didn't post any pictures except for my leftovers. I forgot while I was there. My niece had come from Tacoma and we got to talk in and I totally forgot to do my review and take pictures, but I'm doing it now. We had the Everest Samosa Chat: which is: Samosa served on the bed of spiced chick peas & topped with chutneys. It was absolutely delicious. We also split samosas. My niece had the butter chicken and I had the chicken vindaloo. They were both awesome and very flavorful. I got a little taste of hers. We ordered the medium spicy, but it could've been spicier. Next time I'll order the very spicy my sister got the chef special salad which looked very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed for quite a while talking even after our meal was done and they were fine with that. The place was small, but very pleasant. I would highly recommend going here.

It was a Friday night, and apparently, they have live music several nights a week! It wasn't amplified, or if it was, it was still provided a great dining atmosphere - not too loud, but I could tell the guy playing was really enjoying himself! We ordered an assortment. I always love Chicken Tikka Masala - I consider it the test of a good Indian restaurant. We got the Allo Gobi - a cauliflower and potato dish, as well as some of their lemon rice. I had never seen that before so we had to try it. We also had a Paneer dish with onions and peppers. Everything was fantastic! So fresh and flavorful, and absolutely packed with spiced! My partner said she thought it was the best we have ever had! We enjoyed everything, and the service was very friendly and personal. We spoke with someone who may have been the owner, who informed us that the food was from Punjab - far Northern India. We had a great meal, and felt like we made new friends as well. Wave if you see us there - we may have our own table there before long!

The all you can eat lunch buffet has a lot of delicious variety. The selection can change on a daily basis. My wife is vegetarian and we love all the vegetarian choices. Today, some on my favorite items in the buffet were the tandoori chicken and the vegetable curry. The papadam and the chutneys are really good. What separates Darbar's chutney from others is the flavor and the thickness (while other restaurants water their chutneys down). This is one example of the attention to details the makes this my go to for this cuisine. The folks working there are friendly and provide good customer service. The restaurant is spacious and ample to seat parties large and small. They also have a private room that folks can set up a private party. I look forward to returning:)

It being one of the newer Indian/Nepali Restaurants in town, we decided to give the buffet a try for a Thanksgiving meal. We were promptly seated, we preferred the booth. I can vouch for the Yogurt with Veggies (Raita), Samosas, papad, rice pudding (kheer). They tasted great, I repeated each one. For the other food options (I am vegetarian), my Indian food palate and cravings were left craving for more. The veggies -both were heavily cauliflower based and with similar flavour, not much tasteful. Dal had a strong garlic taste. Palak paneer was made in a different style, though away from the traditional recipe but it was nice tasting. The yogurt fruit dessert was not much picked, I too tasted, but wasn't impressed. We tried the Taj Mahal Lager beer, it is very good, a must try. The restaurant is huge, clean, servers are attentive, buffet is well placed and served at ideal temperatures (both hot and cold). Over all for a vegetarian meal, it was Quite an Average Experience. I may want to keep to ordering an a la carte meal in case we plan to visit again.

Looking at the menu it all looked great, creative etc. i asked the server shot the food and he said oh everything is made from scratch., etc. we're got two bowls, the dragon bowl and the roast beef bowl to go. We got them home and opened them up. The roast beef bowl was described as being served over a bed of home made mashed potatoes topped with home made gravy and special horseradish sauce. Tasting it, it was a way too salty and the meat was so mushy it blended way too seamlessly with the brown gravy to my taste, ie it was all a mush of sauce over more mushy mashed potato! But i preferred its flavor over the dragon bowl, but definitely did not taste like a home made beef gravy from scratch, it was on the overly thickened by corn starch side, with that fake bouillon taste. Dragon Bowl looks good, topped with crunchy cashews that had slight rancid taste, and fresh green onion. And sadly, the chunks of chicken in it were hard, ie tough, precooked for who-knows-how-long-tasting; old tasting. And the sauce was way too sweet. I was disappointed with the $35 bill. We took the food to go. Once we tasted it at home we basically threw it all in the garbage. What a waste but, yuck. Sorry! Ambiance: The place was empty of patrons, and felt like it was closing now even though they still have 45 min. Our two bowls were ordered were handed to us super fast after ordering, like it took no time to prepare, explaining the poor flavor and quality we experienced, plus look at what others have written about all this premade fast food. I want to give one star, but I'll give 2, in benefit of the doubt they were trying to close early and rushed things vs if it were earlier in evening with more clientele.

You heard that right: under $15 for a 5 star all you can eat meal. Before I talk about the food, lets talk about drink refills: I love whenever a place leaves me with my own water refill container. I drink pretty quickly, and being made to ask for refill after refill, let alone wait, is such a pain. The water glass is pretty small, but free is free. Plus the water is filtered. The (yellow) dal is SO on point here. Probably the best I've ever had at a restaurant. It had a slight smokey flavor, with what might have been the very slight hint of garlic. I poured it over the brown rice. Everything except for three dishes is totally vegan. Huge plus for healthy and super yummy. I admit to being surprised by not being wow'ed by the butter chicken, because Himalayan style butter chicken is my absolute favorite, being just a tad on the sweet side but still generous on the cream . This wasn't gross by any means, it just wasn't the wow factor I was thinking I would get. That still being the case, this place still deserves a solid 5 stars: The waitperson was super polite and helpful.
