We had a massive flood in our upstairs master bathroom and were referred to Everest Construction by an experienced adjuster. Everest staff worked diligently and professionally to repair our bathroom. A supervisor arrived every morning at 7:00 am with workers and subcontractors to begin work. While construction projects take time to complete, Everest completed the work expeditiously. As a former District Attorney, I had complete confidence in the trustworthiness of the employees. Two years later, we experienced another flood in our other second floor bathroom. We immediately called Everest Construction and received the same quality workmanship we previously experienced. If you take pride in your home and appreciate attention to detail, Everest Construction is probably not the right choice for you. We had an excruciatingly long experience whereas it seemed they were not at all interested in our choices as opposed to their own agenda. A kitchen remodel that was. supposed to take 6 months went on for over a year. We went through a number of project managers who were courteous enough, but continuously gave incorrect guidance and information through the project, which wasted an enormous amount of time for us as well as the vendors While one of the subcontractors was excellent, the majority were less than mediocre and Everest did not willingly make things right when problems arose. As owners of multiple properties across the country, we've been through many home renovation projects. Everest was by far the most unorganized and difficult company we've ever worked with. Do Not Use Everest Construction If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with Everest Construction was a complete nightmare, and I urge anyone considering them to look elsewhere. It started off promising when Ted, the first guy who came to give me a bid, seemed professional and trustworthy. I expressed that I wanted some upgrades, and we came to a verbal agreement: insurance would cover the existing items, and I'd pay out of pocket for the upgrades (e.g., carpet to PVC flooring). Ted even assured me that as long as I had my appliances in the home on the day of installation, they would replace them at no additional cost. I was thrilled to finally get some upgrades and signed the contract in good faith. Then everything fell apart. They sent another person to "double-check" Ted's bid, only to claim that my bedrooms weren't included. I had to dig up an email from Ted proving they were. When Modern Concepts came to install, they tried charging me an additional $2,000 for new borders, which should've been included in the bid. When I refused, they simply install the old borders. Kitchen cabinets? A disaster. Sean from Builders Design initially seemed competent but ended up measuring my cabinets wrong. As a result, my oven didn't fit, and I lost my beloved lazy Susan in the corner cabinet. They "compensated" with three pull-out drawers, but it's nowhere near the same. After five months of living in a hotel with two kids, two dogs, and my husband, I was too exhausted to fight anymore and just accepted it so I could get back into my house. The plumber they used was just as bad. I told Scott--the guy overseeing the work--that Ted had said I could add new fixtures, and I was more than willing to pay for upgrades. Scott outright dismissed this, telling me it wasn't possible. The plumber came and installed my old faucet without giving me the option to replace it. The next day, they called to tell me that they recommended I get a new faucet because the old one was likely to leak. This situation was caused by water damage--why wouldn't I want to avoid it happening again? At this point, my husband and I were furious. We had to demand they install a new faucet. They initially tried to charge me for re-installation, claiming the plumber had already installed the old one. We argued with Juan, explaining how unfair and ridiculous this was, and they finally replaced the faucet. The problems didn't stop there. They completely forgot to include my water softener under the sink, which I had to pay for out of pocket. When I brought this up to Halia, she brushed it off, saying, "Just pay and submit it to insurance for reimbursement." I followed her advice, but to this day, insurance hasn't paid me back. One of their workers even killed my tree! I caught him cleaning paint brushes by my plants, and I'm certain that's what caused my tree to die. On top of that, when they "finished" my house, there was dust everywhere. I was charged on the bid for cleaning, but they didn't clean at all--I had to hire someone myself to get my home livable again. Every subcontractor they sent was a disaster. My new stairs are poorly done, my cabinet is still missing a handles and it will stay that way because according to them "it's a face drawer and does not open". my bathroom sink doesn't even drain properly. This company showed zero accountability and left me to deal with their incompetence at every step. Save yourself the stress, money, and heartbreak--go with a different company. Everest Construction is unorganized, careless, and utterly unprofessional. read more

We had water damage in our home and the process of getting us back to our home was very stressful but thankfully, Everest construction came to the rescue. Not only were they professional with the estimated date of completion, but they walked us through the process of what they were going to do to restore our home to its original state. We had two project managers that were involved (Scott & Juan), and I was thoroughly impressed with how they both were always there to answer questions about the status of our home and we were also impressed with the staff that came to do work on her home. From drywall, doors, painting, cabinets, plumbing and cleaning, Everest Construction handled our situation with the upmost professionalism and we thank you for that. But it doesn't end just there. The office staff personnel was just as impressive because they were always there to give us updates to keep the process moving along as smoothly as possible. Special thanks goes to Hali'a who definitely went out of her way to touch bases with me on a regular basis and doing her part to help our family get us back home. The remodeling project took twice as long as they said it would take. For this project I was dealing with 2 different project managers that did not seem to communicate with each other. I initially told one of project managers what I wanted and needed on the first walk-through. He must have not relayed all of the information to the other project manager because there were many questions and concerns during the remodel. They gave me 4 different quotes throughout the process along with 2 different quotes from the plumbing subcontractor. Disorganized to say the least. For one of the weeks, I was told that the project manager would stop by to see how things were going, and he never showed up during any of the days. The typical response was that he was busy with so many other projects that it was difficult for him to keep up with them all. I was calling him almost every day to let him know what was completed and what needed to be done so he could schedule the next crew to come in and do their part of the remodel. If they have so much work, they should hire more project managers. The clean up by the painters was very poor. There was paint, texture, and grout on my new vanities, toilets, walls, floor and existing cabinets that I cleaned up because I wanted this remodel to end. Plus, I had to do touch up painting because the painters said they did not have any small paint brushes to do the corner areas. For the price I paid I should not have had to be so involved during the whole remodeling process. read more

We had quite a few areas that needed repair-after a slab leak and re-plumb. Everest Construction estimators came in and looked through everything including items that needed additional repair we hadn't noticed. When remodel began we first met with Project Manager Bill Meeks. He's absolutely wonderful. He took us step by step and was available and in communication throughout the entire process. The staff -Juan, Jorge, Roddy, the outsource contractors for plumbing, tile were all first rate. They took their time to do the job correctly, they came back for touch ups and smaller items. Every phase was handled professionally and Halia at the office is the nicest, kindest person to coordinate with. This is a top notch company. I wouldn't hesitate to have them in my home for any remodel or repair going forward. We are thankful to have had the pleasure of working with this excellent company. read more

My wife and I had an extremely bad experience working with this company. A straight-forward kitchen restoration that should have taken a month, tops, ended up taking them more than six months to complete (and we were unable to use the kitchen the entire time!). They cycled us through three different project managers. Each of them were pleasant enough in person, but the first two just couldn't get anything done. I got the impression they were extremely overbooked and didn't have the manpower to handle the projects they were taking on. I'm a patient man, but the final straw was when the owner of the company (I think his name was Will) was incredibly aggressive and unprofessional over the phone after I asked him to help cover the costs of some minor damage caused by one of his contractors. We had a leak on our kitchen that left half of it torn down and another company decided, at the last minute, that they didn't want to do the reconstruction (I don't think they wanted to deal with insurance). I called Everest in a bit of a panic, as my son was graduating high school in a month and needed a functional kitchen, and boy did they deliver above and beyond! They worked with me and my insurance company and rebuilt my kitchen in record time. Everest Construction could not have handled this catastrophe in a more timely basis. From start to finish we were completely satisfied with their professionalism and craftsmanship in the restoration and reconstruction of the damaged areas. We had a flood in our garage and went through our homeowners insurance who gave us a list of general contractors they have worked with. We picked Everest Construction and are so glad we did. Also, we were dealing with this while we were out of town. Everything went smoothly from beginning to end. Bob was our Estimator and came out quickly to review what work would need to be done. Scott, our Project Manager, was in communication with us every step of the way and was clear and concise on what work was getting done and who was coming each day. Our main point of contact in the office was Halia who was always pleasant to deal with. Everyone that Everest worked with, plumber, electrician, cabinet maker, was very thorough. You can imagine how stressful this is in general but with us being out of town during this time I imagined how much worse it was going to be; not with Everest. Everyone we dealt with was pleasant and thorough and the work that they did was great. We are so happy we chose them. Looks like we have a brand new garage! Our project required reconstruction of two bathrooms and took some time to complete. So, I had a lot of dealings with all staff members. This wasn't the first time we had worked with Everest and it won't be the last. The work was far and above anything I could have wanted. They were extremely efficient which is very important to me. They arrived on time, every time, did what they said they would do and got it done when they said they would. In the end we were more than pleased with the work. Five days after learning of the unexpected death of my roommate's son in Los Angeles we discovered a puddle of water in the entry hall that turned out to be a small leak in the piping from the water heater that over time had damaged the insulation, wall and flooring between the garage and entry hall. While trying to complete funeral arrangements and traveling to LA for the funeral Summit Restoration and Everest Construction came in and took care of every aspect of the problem - working with my insurance adjuster - to remediate, restore and replace all damaged areas. I worked in the Surety Department of a large insurance company for 25 years working with contractors and I have to say that this company and it's employees are some of the most respectful, courteous and kind people I have ever dealt with.
