If I could give 20 stars, I would. Truly! I'm not even done with my renovation project but I'm so impressed, I couldn't wait until the end to write my review. Darren and his team are amazing!! Darren is unlike any contractor I've ever worked with. Not only is he the nicest guy, but his communication skills are so impressive! He worked with my budget, has kept me in the loop of progress, and almost immediately responds to my texts. Whenever there's been an issue, he has a solution. His team is equally as impressive and communicative. Everyone is incredible at their craft. We had only 20 days to do a top to bottom, whole house renovation before we had to move in. Darren and his team hustled, and what they accomplished is nothing short of a miracle, especially when I kept adding things to the scope. The house looks beautiful! Darren and his team did a phenomenal job. Turned a bathroom that we just tolerated into a dream bathroom. Pricing was fair. Certainly weren't the cheapest, but also not the most expensive quote. We had a hard time finding someone to come in and turn an idea into reality vs. just wanting to install a pre-made shower. A few small communication issues along the way, but that is to be expected. Each issue was corrected and Darren was more than fair to make up for them. Most of the issues just came from the shower being completely custom and small functional concerns came up a long the way. All resolved and we couldn't be happier with how incredible the bathroom turned out. I've saved their number and will be calling again for any home project we have in the future. read more

At first I thought VB was great, but I found issues with the cabinets I received. One, a gauge from what appears to be a tool that must have hit my cabinet before it was installed. The other was a nick and a scratch on the face of a drawer. I found discrepancies in the paint job that I was charged for although it was not discussed. I misunderstood when they had someone do the drywall and texturing that they were going to paint the walls. For some reason I thought that was included but no worries I will pay for that. However they did not do a good paint job and I will have photos to back up all my claims here on yelp. They installed shelves and painted them a mint green. I wanted the shelving's to match with the cabinetry which is white. They argued with me that it was white until I sent them a photo showing them the contrast. Then they blamed the paint company for giving them the wrong paint color. I had to point out how crooked the cabinets were. I still have a cabinet door that won't shut completely. It seems like it's warped. Also, they hired someone to do my backsplash and it was poorly applied. Uneven lines, not leveled at all. They did not charge me for that however. I just have to live with it. I'm grateful that they at least took responsibility for that and has since let that person go. They did also give me a discount for the gauge in the cabinet. However, I was made to feel like I was a difficult customer because I didn't accept it as is. I was told that they have worked with "people like me" which is so unprofessional to say the least. I was so upset that I cried. I have never been told that. I paid good money to have my cabinets and laundry put together and I expected quality cabinets and professional behavior. So for all of that, I'm giving them two stars. I really like to help small businesses and I know this is a family owned business but I cannot accept that kind of treatment. I could refer many of my contacts, family and friends but I cannot recommend VB. If you do decide to go with VB, double check and make sure everything is the way it supposed to be. Don't be afraid to speak up for your money. I'll be sharing pictures of my issues that I have mentioned. You make your own decision but this is my review. I found another nick that looked like it was covered up but they didn't match the paint on the cabinets. They also gave me a hanging rod that doesn't quite match the hardware on my cabinets. I asked if they could find some thing to match it but they could not. Not sure if that's just a problem in general for all or if they were just not willing to find that part. I don't know if these guys really know how to do their job well as they could not fix any issues. They did replace the drawer as I mentioned before and I am happy that they did that. Overall the laundry room looks better than it did before it's just not up to the standard if you want really nice things. read more

The cabinets looks amazing, I switched up the design on him and we had to reorder to top cabinets but he made it seamless and only charged me for the new parts. Most professional business I've ever worked with. Eugene and Darren are superb when it come to customer service. I had a Live edge Hawaiian Koa mantle I needed hung above my fire place and instead of coming in mounting the wood and taking by money. Complete repaint of kitchen, plus new quartz counters, new sink, and tile backsplash. They did a wonderful job! The custom made hood is spectacular. Darren and Eugene and the entire team communicate well and are reliable. They treated our home with great respect over the couple weeks; limited disruption and cleaned up at the end of each day. Darren, Eugene, and Anthony are a dream team. I wish there were more stars than just 5. We had Valley Builders fill in our awkward fireplace wall and add ledge stone and a mantle. On the back side of the wall they built custom shelving to make sure we made use of all the space. It is absolutely gorgeous. Beyond their amazing work, they have excellent customer service. You will never be kept wondering what is going on. We also had them come out a second time to replace our vinyl plank flooring that we just had done by a different company the year before. Our floor had completely popped and we had no choice to replace it. VB helped us find a great quality flooring and installed it very quickly. They are so considerate about us being able to use our house while they were working. It looks gorgeous! Not enough words to describe the amazing work they do. I first spoke to Darren via message. I needed a door installed for the primary bedroom into the bathroom. There was an arch in the doorway where I wanted the door installed. He asked me a bunch of questions about the door size, handle, and molding. I took a picture of a door in the home and he ordered everything. He never even had to come see it in my home.
