Purchased Home with EverDry Transferrable Warranty We purchased a home with an EverDry System and the Transferrable Warranty. They have been very good partners over the past 10 years. We have had sumps proactively replaced twice, and had a sump replaced after a failure after hours. They have been on-time for every service appointment (quarterly) and for all other warranty work. As we had needs for new "finger" drains installed or other rod pops addressed, they have done all of that under warranty and quickly. Fortunately, we have had few questions during heavy rain or thaw times, but they when we have, they have been able to get back with us in a few hours. read more

It was cheaper for the work thats why I did not want to reinstated the warranty because I would have gotten a new one because they never did the work and Zach told me to do the work so my warranty would be voided, he said it would cost me about $60 from home depot. Only giving "a" star so I could get the review out. We made an appointment for a $$$$ waterproofing job, they gave us appointment time. Called the day before to confirm. The day of they were a NO Show. We called them after waiting just shy of an hour, they put us on hold for 5 mins. then came back and said "sorry (sounded matter of fact) the guy had a car accident this morning". Yet they never called their customer to let them know he wouldn't be making the appointment? Asked if we wanted to reschedule for the following week. If we didn't call them to find out where they were, would we be just sitting here all day waiting? If it's true? that he had an accident, I hope he is well. However, this is no way to do business, the company should have called us and any other appointments he had for the day. We will be taking our business elsewhere this is no way to start an expensive job, Not to mention just plain Rude! read more

I don't write a lot of reviews, but I feel compelled to write this one as I believe I was misled several times by this company. Everdry had a booth at the Polish Festival in Sterling Hts the weekend of Jun 21-23. We went there on Jun 22. I normally don't stop at booths that are doing a "free" raffle in exchange for your info because you wonder if they actually ever give anything away or if it is just a ruse to get your info, but the Yeti cooler they were offering stood out and we decided to fill out a slip. There was no mention to us that they were also raffling off a gift card for their services. And when we asked when the drawing was going to happen, we were told that it was going to be right after the festival. I received a phone call on Monday Jun 24, and the girl on the other end said that my slip did not indicate whether I preferred the Yeti cooler or a gift card. I began to think that this was their angle to call and offer their services before drawing a winner. I asked how much the gift card was for. She put me on a brief hold, then told me that the gift card was for the same amount as the value of the cooler but the gift card was for their services. So I said I would prefer the cooler. She then began to tell me about their services and wanting to schedule a free inspection. And I thought to myself, just as I suspected, this was their angle to rope me in. I told them I didn't currently need their services as we have everything under control. So then she said something like, "Ok, well we will just send that cooler out to you then". I was a little shocked, so I said "Wait, are you saying I won the cooler?". She paused and talked to someone in the background, and came back on the phone and said "Yes". Still surprised, I said "So you are telling me my ticket was drawn and I am the winner?". Again she spoke to someone in the background, then came back to the phone and said "yes". I thanked her and we ended the conversation. I asked the friend that also filled out the slip, and he did not (and still has not) received a call. So this even further cemented my belief that I had won. Fast forward to Wed Jul 3. I still had not received the cooler, so I called to check on it. I spoke to a different woman and asked about the cooler. She said she didn't think they even drew the winner yet as she thinks they were drawing it that Friday or Saturday, and that I may have misunderstood the conversation. I explained it as best I could and told her that I verified twice with her and whoever else she spoke to that I was indeed the winner, and was told I was. She said they record all calls, and that she would listen to the conversation and call me back. When she did call back, she began to explain what the other girl "should" have said, and what she "meant", and that it was a misunderstanding, but that she would give me a free inspection for my trouble. Something I was already offered and they do for everyone anyway. When I resisted, she said she is not supposed to do this, but she will give me an entry for both the gift card and cooler. When I asked if she listened to the whole conversation, she said "yes". And when I asked if she heard the other person tell me twice that I indeed won and my cooler would be on the way, she said "yes". So then she said she would give me multiple entries in the cooler raffle and also talk to someone about giving me additional compensation for the "misunderstanding". I said I would wait to see what the outcome of this would be. And of course, that is the last I have heard from them. So based on this, I do not feel I can trust this company in any other aspect, nor can my friends, and I would not recommend this company. read more

I am shocked to see the poor reviews for Everdry over the years right up to the present! Bill and Alex arrived today at my house to redo weep holes in the cinderblock basement wall and to seal the wall around an outside window, where leaking had occurred. They were on time. We did have to make the appointment 6 weeks ago. I was called to confirm the appointment the day before. Both men were polite and explained to me what they were doing and how it would work. Halfway through I was shown what they had done, or had exposed, then they finished their jobs. Please note that my husband was NOT present. I was treated without any hint of sexism. I am happy that Everdry is still in business. They had installed the original waterproofing round the house 22 years ago. Over the years they have come out to address issues 5 times. All was covered under the Service Warranty, that costs $40 a year! I have been satisfied with their response to problems. I hope Everdry continues to exist for many years to come. read more

I hate to have to write a bad review. However, I don't want anyone else having the experience that I am having. When I contracted Everdry to do our waterproofing, I asked if my newly installed retaining wall would be a problem. They assured me whatever they mess up, they would either replace or repair. After the job was "completed" I asked about my retaining wall. They said l, give a few weeks, let the ground settle, then we'll come back and repair it. Months went by, and nothing. I also noticed that the discharge from the sump pump was aimed directly at my retaining wall. Again, I was assured, it's not a problem. Four months later, the retaining wall is still not repaired, and the discharge line that is pointing at the retaining wall has flushed the sand and gravel from under the retaining wall creating an unstable spot. I had a guy come out to inspect the line and the wall, only to be told that there's nothing they can do. Also, our city inspector came out to close out the permit, they cemented my laundry tub to the ground first. Then moved it away from the wall, and tried to convince me they didn't. So disappointed in this company. My cousin was going to get his basement waterproofed, he wanted to know who I recommended! I told him, definitely not Everdry! I've shared my experience with a few friends, who told, they would never use them. Now I think it's time to share to a larger audience! read more

If you get any work from this company expect them not to replace or repair what they have moved or broken. They state that homeowners are responsible for cleaning up behind their work basically. Most companies clean up what they mess up or repair what they've broken. Be aware and their crew don't come with their own tools...won't be contacting them again. read more

We had Randy and Ryan, from Everdry, come to check out a leaking basement wall at my Mothers house. It had been looked at by another company, I will not name, they said to fix water coming in in only one location of basement would need to put interior drainage system around entire basement. Everdry guys came out to give estimate and diagnose problem. Came prepared with moisture meter and were very experienced with troubleshooting this type of situation. They determined problem would not be solved by other recommendation, tearing up basement floor for interior drain, messy, expensive and would not cure problem. They determined water was coming from 4 inch cast pipe drain going through basement wall, that has a hole in it. Randy was correct!! Recommended call plumbers and when they tore out pipe found 3.5 inch hole pin bottom of it. (See picture below). Randy and Ryan saved us big money and aggravation. Thank you guys. I can say my basement has remained dry since the inside and outside waterproofing was completed in February. However, their customer service and follow up is horrible. I am still trying to get someone back to review and respond to my issues of an unsatisfactory job completion. There is loose plastic sheeting around some of my exterior walls. My retaining wall was not put back appropriately. They totally jacked up my sprinkler lines and tried to make repairs to the cut lines with DUCT TAPE and fittings that weren't the proper size. I have spent $700 in repairs so far and it is still needing more repairs. I started communicating in early May, and thus far, no one has had time to come out. I'm assured each time I call/email that my concerns will be addressed. When I tried to cancel my job last November, a supervisor was out in two days. I was told I could not cancel, as I agreed to be "on call" and all materials were already cut. I was told I would owe them over $5000 in materials. Nothing was pre-cut when the materials were brought in site. If you choose to use this company, don't make final payment until you are certain everything is as it should be. Will have to seek other means to get this resolved. read more

This company is a joke. They are pushy beyond belief and they lie. They do not cover what they "promise" to cover. "Kathleen" in the project management department is a train wreck. Not only did she tell me "I HAD to get this job done", she is also skirting the fact that my sprinkler lines were destroyed during the process. I submitted many photos and documents from the irrigation company. They are not responding to me even though I only want compensation for the irrigation damage - I will still have other necessary repairs to pay out of pocket for this mess. I contacted Jerry the sales rep about the sprinkler system. He did not want to deal with my frustration because he was on vacation so he flat out hung up on me. My husband and I are successful because we treat clients/customers with respect and follow up to make sure they are satisfied. These people are the worst. I received a response the following day to try and schedule someone to come visit however when they found out my husband would not be able to be in attendance at all (he lives across the country) the "free" consultation suddenly became $150. Do NOT even call here. I made an appointment then Molly called to confirm this morning. I am the home owner however she asked if I was married- odd question. They refused to keep the appointment unless my husband came to the inspection. Again I am the home owner not my husband. In order to keep the appointment I would have to pay $150- so it's only free if my spouse was there. AGAIN I reminded her that I am the only one on the home and the sole decision maker. Then they called me to confirm the apt the next day. And I confirmed again this being the third time I said yes I want the apt this time this day. Working on behalf of my client, I scheduled a consultation for a basement crawl space on Monday for the following Friday. I get a call yesterday at 4pm letting me know they can't come out because I was unsure of the height, which was expressed to them on Monday during scheduling, which is fine. My issue was, I took the entire day off and got a sitter for my kids who I am homeschooling for this appointment and wasn't even given 24 hour cancellation notice. If it were any other company, there would be a penalty assessed for cancelling on short notice. I ask to speak with a manager (Melissa) who calls me back this morning and proceeds to tell me they couldn't even really help because they are having their "best year ever because of covid' so they are scheduling a year out, crawls are hard to get Into, the staff doesn't know this info, only she does , they cancelled on me the night before, that is plenty of time etc- again, all this is fine, but why not tell me this info, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday morning etc- they have terrible customer service and this particular person, Melissa, ended the convo by calling me a f#cking B%tch. Being in the customer service Industry, I am a big advocate for my clients and wouldn't ever treat potential customers this way. I am appalled by their lack of professionalism. If I could leave 0 stars I would . Called and scheduled two appointments. Each time I was magically not on the appointment list anymore on the inspection day. Then a lady who decided to berate me and tell me how the internet works when searching for something and it maybe I clicked on the wrong location. I asked if Jillian worked there , she said she does, coincidentally that's the name of the person who scheduled my first 2 appointments. Instead of sympathy or empathy, I got schooled on why I was the reason they did not call and confirm me. Then says, oh you are out of state maybe you were sleeping when we called. I don't think this place could have been anymore insulting. The old lady I spoke with was a "supervisor" and clearly has no skills in customer relations or trying to solve problems. The call ended with a very unprofessional hang up, and saying I'm not going to schedule you. Thank you for that old lady, I see how your office operates and can only imagine how you handle a crew of workers. Office management is a tall tell sign of how professional the crews are . Scoop is, they get in, say they are cheap, ( probably are if their office reflects their work) then quote you 15-35k for repairs. I had my basement water proofed by this company in January of 2017. I have had nothing but issues since then. The first issue is they damaged my paint. They put duct tape directly on my paint, and when they peeled it off, some paint came with it. Their employees did not tell me about this, I saw it for myself and had to call the company and tell them about it. The first spring after they waterproofed my basement, there was water coming in already. They came out and fixed that issue, because it was covered under the warranty that they make you pay for. Also in the spring I noticed a hole in my back yard where they installed drainage tubing for the sump pump they installed. The tubing was supposed to go to a dry well, so the water was absorbed into the ground, but the pipe they installed was 12" short. All of the water was going into my yard, which caused the hole. They then came out and fixed that hole by attaching a secondary tube. This fall I noticed a hole in my yard again. Because of the initial wash out, all of the rocks that were supposed to be under the tube were gone, causing the added tube to sink into the ground and disconnect from the original tube. I do not believe their employees know what they are doing, and that their management does not check the work of their employees. I called them about the issue and they initially said they would come out and fix the problem again. I told them my thoughts on their employees, and now they are refusing to come out to fix the issue unless I have a face to face meeting with their supervisor. Not only do I not wish to do that, the only time he was available to meet me would be if I took time off work early. I have already had to take time off work to deal with the original issues. If I could do it all over again I would have never had work done by this company, and if it was a product I could return I would read more

Buyers - beware of all the below learning points! One star because I can't rate at "0". -Drainage externally from the house is directly onto our front path pavers such that guests walk through it to the porch and it will ice over during the winter. When we raised a concern, we were told "That's how we always do it". -Dust/gravel left behind was EXTENSIVE- much more than we were prepared for from the consultations. Told we "should have expected it". -Coverage of personal belongings - photo albums, CDs, Electronics, couches, carpet, exercise equipment - was weak at best. When I questioned on day one, I was told "not to worry about it -we do this all the time and we'll cover everything". It was not done well at all. -During the work the downstairs freezer was unplugged. The plug was fully accessible and could very easily have been plugged back in once work was completed in that area, if indeed it was in the way. By the time we discovered it we were concerned regarding the safety of the meat inside. Additional peripheral damage. -Dents in our drywall at electrical outlet level were chalked up to "normal for the process". "Just patch it before you paint" we were told. - Wood ripped out of the frame of our walkout sliding glass door at handle level - also told "normal" and an aspect of our work. Really???? It's a custom door and stained to match the rest of the hardwood. - Duct tape was used on our hardwood and walls to drape plastic. Which ripped off the drywall and finish. Again, we were told part of the job and "you're repainting anyway". Wood beams scratched during work. -We were never informed that the carpet/flooring could not be replaced for 2 months due to concrete curing. The carpets weren't covered completely and staining/dirt was extensive so we are ripping it out ourselves because of the need to clean all the dust out. -We asked in advance about removal of pets and how many days the jackhammering would take. We were told - not once, but 3 times- 1-2 days. Actual= 7 days... Based on their information, we didn't remove our pets. We kept them upstairs in a bedroom with vents covered. One developed an infection which spread to her kidneys and we had to put her down, within 4 days of the job being completed. - In hindsight I would have removed my pets to a safe temporary location, and leased a Pod to load our belongings into during the duration of the work. And I wouldn't have paid anything of the second payment until my home was left reasonably clean. Assuming I would still have hired EveryDry. -Every other potential customer should be well informed before hiring EverDry so they will be better prepared and can protect their precious family and belongings. I can't say you purposely lied to us but the lack of full disclosure feels unethical. I am crushed by the loss of my pet and completely amazed at how you do business. I'm hopeful after all the destruction to my family and home, your product actually works and the long term additional damage is minimal. Cannot believe I'm left with SO MUCH cleaning/repairs to restore my basement to a point it can actually be repainted and carpeted. read more

Called Everdry hoping to understand what was going on with our basement and get a quote for work needed. Met with a representative who we initially thought was great, he took the time to help us understand what issues we had, as well as what he recommended. He further explained the Everdry system and how it would be beneficial to our family. During the meeting we were feeling very positive that we wanted to go with Everdry but still wanted to wait on a few other opinions. We were then given a quote of $30k!!!! BUT WAIT, we could "lower the price" by going on their "on call list" so it would be a few thousand cheaper. BUT we HAD to sign a contract that day, or else the offer wouldnt be available anymore....awful sales tactic. We were put in a high pressure sales pitch and right then and there red flags went up. The rep said he would then give us time to think about it and he would come back a couple days later to do some air quality test (he also extended the offer of the lower rate so clearly its not a one time deal). A few days later he returned with his test, started it, and in the mean time spoke to us again about signing a contract. When we said we werent ready to sign that instant, he immediately became rude and unprofessional. He then grabbed his testing equipment and left. Never even did the test like he said. It was incredibly unprofessional and even if they provide the best solution out there, the sales tactic was enough for us to go elsewhere because we wont trust their services. If I am hiring a company and considering handing over 30k, then you are on MY time, if i need a few days deal with it. Now, these people wont stop blowing up our phones! just today i have 4 missed calls and 2 voicemails. He has 3 missed calls and 2 voicemails. This is ridiculous. It just confirms our decision to move on to more professional contractors. Whether or not this company is legit, i dont care, it seems like a complete scam to get our money. This review may not be so helpful as I did not end up purchasing service with Everdry. Water was leaking into my basement and I realized my '64 house needed proper waterproofing to secure the foundation and alleviate any damage concerns/drop in value. I reached out to Everdry first and same day had a guy come out to inspect everything with all of their fancy moisture meters and what not. For my fairly small 21'x21' basement they wanted $15k and change for their patented "multi-step" drainage system, and convinced me that no other product would do what theirs claims to do. I was heavily pressured that night to sign on and even talk to a half man/half robot at some bank to apply for a loan to lock in their day of inspection deal. However, thankfully Michigan has a 3-day contract rescind law that allows you to back out of any contractual work like this within 3 days no questions asked, all money returned. The following day I did substantial research on Michigan waterproofing as I was kinda freaking out over how much this would cost. I came across FSM and one of their inspectors came out that night. I gave him a run down of what I was told, the products I was offered - and he guessed within 10% how much they were charging me. FSM offered a "non-multi-step" drainage system - but still one that is warranted against any water ingress for the lifetime of the house. Essentially the "french drain" style below foundation perimeter drain into an active sump. For $8k and change. I was pretty blown away at the difference. The key here is that the warranty is a true lifetime warranty that stays with the house - can even switch owners. Everdry wanted I believe $75/year to keep your warranty going - if you somehow forgot to pay that amount you were out of warranty and service would be higher. So this great, I feel a big sense of relief and a feeling that I was swindled by a sales guy at Everdry. I call 2 days after my inspection early in the morning to cancel. They were quick with the cancellation by claimed that the same sales rep would have to meet me at my house to finalize the cancellation because I elected to be "on-call" for installation (saved a few $ allegedly). So I agree kinda nervously - since I knew I had put some a small down payment to get my foot in the door (and secure that initial price) Monday at 6 pm rolls around and the man is at my door with his manager. The next 20 minutes were easily some of the most uncomfortable minutes I've experienced in quite some time. It was 20 minutes of hard core sales strong arming with added scare tactics. Essentially telling me that I'm wasting my money not going with their system, and that they felt that they were very comparable in price and effectiveness. This whole ordeal was incredibly uncomfortable, unbecoming, and frankly hugely unprofessional. Even if they had offered a better product/price ratio or whatever when they came I would've still told them to shove it. It had the vibe of two gangsters coming to get what they wanted from my house. After 15 minutes of them sales pitching the equivalent of "hail-mary on 4th and long" they finally start to get out the door. They probably stood on my porch with the door open (its 34F outside) for about 4-5 minutes still explaining how they think I'm making a mistake. I'm an automotive engineer also - and the guys had the audacity to ask 4-5 times "you're an engineer right, you understand all of this, don't you" with a condescending, patronizing tone. I was shook and a little bit scared by this whole ordeal. Honestly, maybe they do good work. Maybe their products are better, maybe not. I won't find out, because I got a second opinion that I believe will be equally effective. And of course maybe it won't. I haven't actually had the work done yet. But when I do, I'll be sure to write a review for FSM. I was so moved by this whole initial experience that I felt to write about this now. So no, I cannot and will not recommend a business that practices these kinds of shark, scare-tactic sales strategies. It's disgusting - and I'm thankful I did my homework. The general role of thumb I've found is that proper basement waterproofing from scratch should run you ~$100 per perimeter foot of foundation. So a 21'x21' basement should be 84'x$100 = $8400 which is what FSM came out to be. So don't fall for scare tactics. Try to meet people who have had work done, and do your homework. Waterproofing isn't rocket science. But it's definitely a big problem in Michigan, especially aging basements/foundations. read more

DO NOT CALL Everdry! 90 Minutes of our time and a quote of $17,800 on a 431 Sq Foot area. I called several other companies obviously, after this quote...All quotes came in under $7,000 and the scope of work they would provide was more than Everdry suggested or offered. We had a range of options that started at $3200 and went as high as $7,000. 1st. Everdry insisted my husband must be present. I am handling an entire reno on this house, I think I can handle this without my husband but they said they would want my license and deed to verify all names on deed of were were present at their appointment. 2nd. Two guys show up, one is in an Everdry shirt and pleasant, the other guy is dressed sloppy and his overall demeanor is sloppy. Sloppy guy won't look me in the face and addresses all questions and answers to my husband even though I had the answers to his questions and I asked the questions. 3rd. Scare tactics were some of some of best.... They screamed water from the crawl and immediately pulled out a beaker/test tube filled it with water from crawl and said if it turned pink within 10 Minutes we had serious mold issues... This was just hilarious!!! DRAMA!! after one hour they said the water in the tube turned purple and that was bad but originally if it turned pink in 10 minutes that was bad. Furthermore they knew they were going into a crawl and complained it was dark and they could not see and had a 3" led flashlight only with them.. They brought a printer in to our house, took it out of the box and plugged it in to print photos....everything was such an ordeal. There is so much more but I won't bore you, call FSM not Everdry. We went on to Glen Haege's website after and were glad to find he recommends Foundations Systems of Michigan which was another company we had already scheduled for a quote. Gotta love Glen Haege. FSM was pleasant, one young guy arrived who knew his stuff, he actually had a really big flash light with him unlike Everdry who complained they couldn't see in the crawl... FSM drew to scale diagrams with measurements, photos were relevant and viewed on their ipad, they left a detailed quote, with easy to understand brochures and a business card. No scare tactics, no drama and to the point... I actually want to give my money to FSM for being a stand up company with integrity. Everydry left nothing behind (except we kept the little test tube thingie). No business card, no brochure, nothing! We thought this issue was going to stop us from moving into our new house and afraid we were going to find ourselves homeless as our house had sold, but FSM gave us an option of adding a door (called a turtle) to the outside of our house for access to the crawl which it should have already and why that is not code enforced I do not understand. My sister had a small trickle of water in her basement... after all the bull shit she had gone through with this company she would rather have a raging river. So update... They still haven't fixed it yet. ANOTHER update same Forman came out but was promised a different one, they said they would be there between 2 and 4. My sister left work (AGAIN) got home at 2 and the crew was just finishing up! WTF clearly they didn't want her home while they"fixed" their f-up. She walked them all around her house pointing out EVERYTHING they should have already fixed. Not happy with the end results but will accept it only to be rid of that POS company. Oh and I was going to post a bad review on their website.. guess what no matter how many times I clicked on the review button, I could not post a review?!?! Really?!? AND all the reviews on their site are, yes you guessed it 4 and 5 stars... guess their staff and family members were busy!!! DONT USE THIS COMPANY!! UPDATE!!! Here goes... my sister got a bill, get this.. for the "master service warranty" $75 ! So she has to pay $75 a year for the rest of her life or as long as she lives in the house for the SHITTY work to be warranted. No mention of this when she apparently signed her life away to this company!! read more

I was really irritated by their policy that they will not inspect your house unless "all homeowners are present". Even after I explained that I am retired and my wife is still working, their spokesperson would not flex at all, citing "years of experience leading them to know what works best". My wife and I, like many couples, tend to split responsibilities based on expertise, rather than both of us being involved every time a contractor or service supplier comes by. I won't stand for a small company telling me what decisions I can or cannot make without my wife involved. And I would feel the same way about a company that would not take direction from her without my being present. I'm not sure what their rationale is, but suspect they like to have someone "less technical" present to hear a high pressure sales pitch (read some of the other reviews on Yelp). I'll be giving my business to a company that is more respectful to its prospective customers. read more

First impressions were terrible. They asked if my wife was going to be home. I asked what they were talking about. She excused herself and asked if my husband would be home. I said to cancel my appointment. Being presumptuous was a bit offensive. I have neither a husband or a wife. Bill showed up LATE without a courtesy call, just stood on my porch without ringing the doorbell, my dogs alerted me he was here. When he went out my back door, I asked that he relock it when he came back in as one of my dogs can open the back door. He didn't locked it upon re-entry. I did however hear about how he doesn't like toilet plungers, has knee problems, whined about his schedule, etc. He left without a quote and said he can't give me one without talking for another hour because he HAS to close the deal today. He said he'd have "the girls" call me next week to reschedule when my husband, boyfriend or significant other could be here too even though he said it was clear that I make decisions myself. That was so damn ignorant. I took MY time for them after meeting them at the Women's International Expo, only to be disrespected for expecting professionalism and being a single woman who owns her own house, without a significant other. read more

To soon to tell if their work is any good, they just finished...but their work crew is a disaster! I was APPALLED at the state they left the house! The downstairs was trashed! Dirt/mud all over the floors, the green spray they use was everywhere, they put plastic on the wood floors and carpet, after they already tracked dirt all over, they gouged the wood trim along the stairwell. They forgot to do the seal around the outside of the house. read more
