Work was done on schedule and as discussed. Work also includes a transferable warranty. I would recommend this business.

If you're in Wixom dealing with basement water issues, Michigan Basements is a solid choice. We had…read morerecurring leaks from cracks in the foundation and were tired of dealing with puddles and dampness. They recommended interior drain tile/drainage with a sump pump and added a vapor barrier to help with moisture. What stood out was how practical they were. They explained the options, answered questions, and didn't try to upsell us. The crew arrived when they said they would, worked efficiently, and cleaned up well. The system has been doing its job and we haven't had water since.

It would look good for a bit, then fail again, and we realized we were basically putting a bandaid on a bigger problem. We finally decided to stop chasing it and do full waterproofing with Michigan Basements. They installed an interior drainage system tied into a new sump pump, and finished it off with a vapor barrier on the walls. From the first visit through the install, the team was professional, clear about what they were doing, and didn't oversell anything. The work was done cleanly and efficiently, and you can tell they take pride in doing it the right way. I also purposely waited to post this until we had real storms and heavy rain so I could honestly say the system works. We've now been through multiple downpours and the basement has stayed dry. On top of that, everything is backed by a full lifetime warranty, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. If you're tired of quick fixes and want it handled the right way, I highly recommend Michigan Basements.

There were a couple rips in the material, the taping on the seams between sheets zigzagged; and this is on the factory cut edge that's perfectly straight. They used the spray foam to adhere the tarp to the cinderblocks. Some spots have huge spray foam globs that sank and pushed the material out creating air gaps. The only way that can happen is there is a critical shortage of fasteners holding the material up, I've seen less than 10 on the whole job so far. There are spots where the spray foam looks like melted cheese, its disgusting. The entire area has a layer of dirt and hundreds of spray foam turds along the walls. The two 'doors' they put on for $1000 were 2x4 and pvc board with 2 screws, absolutely unacceptable. When I called to talk to the crew they said they had swept out the area, I laughed and hung up on those liars. There is numerous work material trash left under there including a 2 tank spray foam setup. They also spray foamed 2 interior walls that were not part of the work plan and didn't need it. I had the supervisor come out to take a look and he pointed out more things wrong and said this needed to get made right. Guess someone forgot to write something down because when the next crew came to make repairs, they didn't have the materials they needed cause it wasn't written on the work service order thing. It's a month later and I still haven't received any before or after photos from them of their work but boy am I glad I went down there and took my own. I know it can be grueling work, but for something that is supposed to bring peace of mind about your home, this has been a nightmare. If you need go with anyone else

The repair ended up costing about 2x what they originally said which ... hey that happens. The quoted it sight unseen, then looked at it and decided it was bigger than they expected. They put this junk in, plug it and then you cut the plugs flat after a few days. Repair at 6 months is holding. The other people that looked at it were thousands if dollars so I thought I'd try this...glad I did. I only have before pics Prompt and repair that worked.

Dave from the Crack Team, he was my 4th, and final estimate I got. #1 said they'd fill the crack and put a vapor barrier over it for $975 #2 said that although my walls were plumb, and showed no sign of other distress, I would need 5 carbon wall ties, @ $500/each, and fill the crack, with a 10% cash discount for $3868 #3 said they would fill the crack & rod holes w/ epoxy for $500 #4 gave me an estimate of $1050 to fill the crack and rod holes with urethane and then reinforce the job with carbon concrete staples - with a lifetime transferable warranty! After doing my research online, I came to the decision that urethane is better than epoxy, for my purposes, and that I don't need 5 carbon wall ties. Dave with the Crack Team won my bid because of the reinforcement, use of urethane, and the warranty. His work was fine, as was he. The only negatives I can give is that he didn't prep me on how messy of a job this was going to be. At one point I went down in the basement to check and see if he would like something to drink, and my whole basement was filled with concrete dust. If I had been prepped on the mess, I would've shut off the furnace, shut the door to the room he was working in, and cover a bunch of things in the room he was working in, to make clean up way easier on me. He wrote me up for a bill of $1070, because he filled 1 more rod hole than quoted ($20/rod hole). All in all, I recommend the Crack Team.

After I removed it, I found that most of the block support behind that was also loose or missing. I put in a call to several contractors for quotes. Brickworks was the first to respond and came up with an innovative repair plan. All others immediately said the whole porch would need replaced at almost 2x Brickworks quote. Decided to take a chance and was quite pleased. They repaired the structure, installed new fascia brick and were able to salvage some flagstone pieces to repair the surface of the porch. Everything was coated with waterproofing. However, when they were done they did an amazing cleanup and even repaired and seeded a few sq ft of damaged grass and reinstalled mulch around the porch. You would never have known that they were there except for the fact that the porch looked amazing. This work was done last year. It weathered great during the winter. I've always meant to post a review but never got around to it. I'd get a guilty feeling every time I'd see their trailer. Today I couldn't take it any more and just had to post. Would recommend them without reservation!
