We dealt with Andy, the owner of the business, on a deal to acquire some heavy equipment he was…read moreselling, an old loader that he wasn't using any longer. We communicated with him for a couple of weeks, test driving the machine, inspecting it closely, and asking a lot of questions about it. It had a lot of miles/hours on it, but we decided to purchase it fully aware and understanding the issues with it (leaky diesel tank, leaking air from the tires, yet the transmission was good). He was firm on his price, we felt he was being fair, and he spent a lot of time with us during the process. On the day the check we wrote to him was approved by his bank, he had us come by to pick up the loader to take it home. Andy assured us that the batteries in the unit were good. Trusting his communication, we drove it off his property over 1 mile away to meet the flatbed truck delivering the loader to our Milwaukee address, and when we arrived at the meeting point, we shut the loader off awaiting the driver's arrival. When the driver arrived, we proceeded to try and start the loader to drive it on the flatbed, but it would not start. After trying lots of different tricks, we couldn't get it started, and finally decided to drive a few miles to a farm supply store to purchase some batteries, which once installed, allowed the loader to fire right up! The batteries cost us an extra $275 + $150 for the driver's time just to get it home. When we followed up with Andy via his cell phone leaving him 3 messages over the course of the week that followed, he would NOT return our phone calls. Before he had our check for the loader, he was VERY responsive. But upon calling to ask him about the batteries and the additional $$$ he cost us, he wouldn't respond. We were hopeful he would be understanding and share the costs which inconvenienced us following his comments that the batteries were good. Not knowing Andy beyond this transaction, I question his desire to do the right thing, and thought others should know about it. Is this how he provides customer service to others?

The team went above & beyond what was required. The communication is great w/ all employees. They really care about the homeowners they work for from start to finish. Had an issue after hours & they came out immediately taking care of it. Took a little off my bill for the inconvenience. The team were so kind to my dogs that they're going to miss having the team around. They made a make shift fence so that my dogs could still run around the backyard throughout the 3 1/2 wks of the project. I will definitely give them a call in the future for other projects! So far they've been great for us. The most recent example was today. I had spent the entire morning trying to get our sump pump to work, and had tried everything to thaw the pipes. I had come to the conclusion that maybe it was the pump itself that was having issues, so I decided to give them a call. The person I spoke with was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, and had someone sent out same day to take a look. I believe his name was John and he was excellent. Super friendly and knew his stuff for sure. In the end it did turn out to simply be frozen pipes, but John took care of it, and not to mention had to work outside on the coldest day we've had in a long time. My basement flooded every spring and through summer. My house was built in 1946 and no sump pump…read morewas installed, and I live next to a large river so the water table is pretty high. I had water coming up through the floor and coming in from the walls. I had a few estimates to "waterproof" my basement. I knew that it was going to be expensive, so I wanted to make sure I found a company that actually cared about my situation and wasn't money driven. I called ABT and Dan came out within 48 hours to take a look at my basement and give me an estimate. Dan took his time, measured and took pictures of my basement. He gave me an estimate; again, I knew it would be expensive, but the cost was pretty competitive with the estimates I had already received. What pushed me to decide to use ABT was the fact that they actually cared about my situation. I opted for the whole package - sump pump and under floor bleeder lines and baseboard system. Once I gave them the go-ahead, they put me on the schedule quickly. It took 3 days to finish the work and each night, before the Jermellio and his crew left, they made sure to clean up. They were very respectful and explained to me what it was that they were doing each day. On the last day, they explained to me how everything works. All was great! About a week after the system was installed, I noticed that water was seeping through a crack in the floor. I called Dan and told him about it. No hassle, no fuss - they got someone out immediately to fix the problem - no extra charge. Great! About a month after the install, I noticed a lot more water coming up from one section of the basement floor. Once again, I called Dan and he had someone come out and assess the situation. After about 45 minutes of testing the system and taking measurements, it was discovered that the pitch was off on the bleeder system under the floor and the water was not draining properly. Again, no hassle, no fuss, they got someone out to my house - dug up the concrete, re-pitched the bleeder lines and tested it - works great, poured more concrete and it was finished - only took a couple of hours. Again, no charge. Bottom line, ABT cares about their customer satisfaction and will not stop until the customer is satisfied with the results. I will not hesitate to contact ABT again for other concrete needs. I ABT

Said he would be back in the next morning to finish but never showed up. Tried calling him over and over with no responses, no replies to text messages. Has never been back or attempted to return calls. I now have damage to my pool trying to use his excavation site, now have to call in another contractor to fix what he screwed up. I would not recommend this company in any way shape or form. Completely unethical, poor workmanship, and non-existent communication. BEWARE!!!!!!!
