A loyal, family owned business! After requesting their professional opinion about the condition of our basement after an inspection marked a wall in our basement questionable to today's standard, this company came out after doing a project over a decade ago. The owner educated us and gave us peace of mind that our basement was great, especially given the age. He didn't try to sell us work that wasn't necessary. Their previous work was done in 2008 and still holds up and looks great. No basement leaking or foundation issues. Thanks for taking the time to follow-up. We dealt with Andy, the owner of the business, on a deal to acquire some heavy equipment he was selling, an old loader that he wasn't using any longer. We communicated with him for a couple of weeks, test driving the machine, inspecting it closely, and asking a lot of questions about it. It had a lot of miles/hours on it, but we decided to purchase it fully aware and understanding the issues with it (leaky diesel tank, leaking air from the tires, yet the transmission was good). He was firm on his price, we felt he was being fair, and he spent a lot of time with us during the process. On the day the check we wrote to him was approved by his bank, he had us come by to pick up the loader to take it home. Andy assured us that the batteries in the unit were good. Trusting his communication, we drove it off his property over 1 mile away to meet the flatbed truck delivering the loader to our Milwaukee address, and when we arrived at the meeting point, we shut the loader off awaiting the driver's arrival. When the driver arrived, we proceeded to try and start the loader to drive it on the flatbed, but it would not start. After trying lots of different tricks, we couldn't get it started, and finally decided to drive a few miles to a farm supply store to purchase some batteries, which once installed, allowed the loader to fire right up! The batteries cost us an extra $275 + $150 for the driver's time just to get it home. When we followed up with Andy via his cell phone leaving him 3 messages over the course of the week that followed, he would NOT return our phone calls. Before he had our check for the loader, he was VERY responsive. But upon calling to ask him about the batteries and the additional $$$ he cost us, he wouldn't respond. We were hopeful he would be understanding and share the costs which inconvenienced us following his comments that the batteries were good. Not knowing Andy beyond this transaction, I question his desire to do the right thing, and thought others should know about it. Is this how he provides customer service to others? read more

I am so impressed with Andy and this company! I am purchasing a home where ABC had done some work for the previous owners however as the buyer we were unsure of what exactly was done and when. Andy came out to meet us on a Friday night to go over the work his company had done on the house and was gracious enough to answer all of our additional questions (even some that didn't pertain to his work). You can definitely tell that ABC cares for their customers and stands behind their work and warranty 100%. Wow! I cannot say enough good things about this company. The care, respect, and professionalism they paid to both me, and the job, was incredible. The workers arrived on time, on the scheduled day- and the work was completed within the quoted time. It was easy to tell that the workers took pride in the job they were doing, and it showed in the quality of work that was done both outside against my foundation, and in my basement. When I received the quote from ABC, one of the statements made that really stuck with me was "We will make your yard look like we weren't even there." They stayed true to their word. The attention to detail they demonstrated actually made my yard look BETTER than before they were there. This has been a nightmare. We got a quote from ABC waterproofing in march for basement repair, they told us it would take 2 weeks for them to come repair it, we called every week for 6 weeks and finally had to threaten to go through another company for them to come. They did the job that week, we noticed right away that they skipped 2 feet of basement wall they had quoted us for because it was already dug up from their previous work the year before, although they didn't waterproof the wall, I guess they called it good enough. It leaked that weekend on the first rain. We called and got a rude response by the secretary saying that they did it, even though that area wasn't dug up and was leaking, irregardless I told her it's under warranty right so they are responsible. After arguing some more they finally agreed to look at it when they had time to see if it really was leaking... They came and confirmed and then came back a week later to do the 2 feet they skipped. When repairing those 2 feet they hit our basement wall that they had already repaired and cracked it, it isn't leaking here yet. However the next rain we discovered that they didn't go down the last foot of our basement and there is a crack 3 feet long leaking now. I've called for the past 2 weeks and was told by the owner they would come look at it and get back to me when they had time. I still havn't heard back and I leave messages daily. I'm in the process of filing a complaint with the bbb and then file in small claims. At this point we just want our money back so we can get another company in to finish our basement so we can drywall it and plant our garden outside. It's been 3 months.... read more
