We were in the back heated patio. My group was at least 40 people and they handled it well. Everyone had hot food, it came fast if you arrived late to order. Huge beer selection. Fenced in outdoor space, corn hole, food, drinks, live music, and recommended by a friend. And technically it had all of those things! And yet somehow, those things were generally only okay. First, music was inside and it was incredibly loud. So we go outside which was just.... A mess. Like, we got mustard on our clothes from an unclean table; food and napkin scraps all stuck in the grass everywhere you looked. Then, the service outside is through a window, which in itself is no problem. The issue is that it was single server on a Friday night and the line took a really long time. The food and drinks we did get, we enjoyed. Based on the other factors, I am unsure that I would make it a point to stop here when back in the area.

The server did come right over to the table to get our drink order but when we took a minute to look over the extensive mixed drink menu, she didn't come back for a long while. Service in general was poor. Took FOREVER to get one pizza at our table, and not a huge pizza either. While the pizza was good, both of us commented on how the grease laid in our stomachs later. Trying to order take away food, to bring home to our husbands was next to impossible and took 20 minutes to get. The garlic Parmesan wings my husband didn't have enough sauce and really had no flavor. When a man won't eat a chicken wings you know it's bad. The mixed drinks were weak and the one I had tasted like nasty coffee medicine. I wanted to love this place, but couldn't. The servers dragging tables across the floor loudly doesn't add to the ambiance either.

I am more of a thin crust circular style personally, but this was still good. We got two styles, Pierogi Pizza and Hot Oil Pepperoni. The Pierogi Pizza was delciious, onions, cheese, Pierogis and crust in old forge style. Would definitely recommend this pie on a Friday during Lent! The Hot Oil Pepperoni pizza was good, but I don't think I would order it again. Very hot, the pepper oil sneaks up on you. We also tried the homemade meatballs (spectacular). Service was great. Unfortunately there was one waitress working bar and restaurant. Tough ask of an employee, she did awesome though! Very modern looking place! TVs with the basketball games on. They have some cool Pizza decor on the inside. Decent amount of seating!

The sports ambience with multiple TVs wasn't interrupted with all the extra guests. We put our names in for a seat. After going through the Book Fair line, we checked to see where we were on the list. The crowd was crazy so we had decided to leave if we weren't close. I was really hungry. The hosting staff took great care of us finding us a table immediately. Mackenzie is stellar at service. Kitchen staff had amazing timing considering how busy the place was. We ordered drinks off the Book Fair menu which was a really cute idea. The drinks tasted good but a little weak. My dinner was great. I got the coal cracker pierogies.. YUMMY! They have a bite & it's devine! Hubs ordered the quesadilla without jalepenos and it came out to us with jalepenos. It was still good. We were warmly welcomed and seated immediately. Our waitress was the lovely Allie (sp?) who was sweet and wonderful. For dinner, Mrs. K. mostly enjoyed their Veggie Gyro. A little heavy on mushrooms and the pita bread was grilled a bit too much but it was otherwise tasty. I chose the Fire Jumper burger. A little spicier than I expected and perhaps cooked more than I would have liked but the fries were perfectly crispy and very delicious. Great toppings and a good bun. With it, their On Point Pils was, uh, on point. Five stars for the beer and the service. The food was good but not great. I would choose Appalachian Brewing Company again for the beers for sure. Revolutionary Hot Sauce Brew Pub - A Solo Valentine's Win…read more I took myself out on a Valentine's Day date this year and decided to try Revolutionary Hot Sauce Brew Pub after seeing it on social media. I'd heard good things about their hot sauces (and that they'd been featured on Hot Ones), so I figured it was time to see what the hype was about. I went in without a specific plan--just knew everything I saw online looked incredible. I ended up asking the guy behind the counter (who I later realized was the owner) whether I should go with the habanero chili dog or the hot habanero pork burger. I've never had a pork burger before, so I was a little hesitant--but I deferred to his recommendation. Absolutely the right call. The pork burger with the habanero sauce was so good. Perfect balance of heat and flavor--not just spicy for the sake of being spicy. And the fresh-cut fries? Exactly what you want them to be: hot, crisp, and clearly made with care. The space itself is a low-key micro pub--casual, relaxed, exactly what you'd expect--but that doesn't make it any less special. The place oozes passionate startup energy. There's a whole shelf of custom hot sauces with creative names, a thoughtfully designed menu, and you can just feel that this is someone's vision brought to life. The owner was out talking to customers, genuinely enthusiastic about what he's building. That kind of energy elevates a place from "good food" to "great experience." Highly recommend. You can tell this is a labor of love--and it shows in every detail

I stopped in on a chilly, windy January Friday around 5:30pm and immediately felt at home. There were maybe five people total inside--three at the bar and one couple in the dining room. It was quiet, no too-bright lights, and warm. Cozy. Calm. Very much my vibe. I was handed a menu, told I could sit anywhere, and instructed to head to the order station when I was ready. As I perused the menu, I found myself in a familiar internal conflict: I really wanted the Smoked Beef Tri Tip & Burrata sandwich, but I also really wanted a smash burger instead of sliced beef. So naturally, I decided to test the limits of the universe. I gathered my courage, went to the order station, and told the man taking my order that I appreciated him entertaining what I was about to say because I was trying to break reality just a little. Then I asked: "Can I get the Smoked Beef Tri Tip & Burrata...without the tri tip...and with a smash burger instead?" Without missing a beat, he replied, "Well, I have to tell you--we're actually out of the tri tip, so...sure! We're going to confuse the guy in the kitchen, but let's do it." A million out of ten stars! Total for this beautiful nonsense: $16. I upgraded my fries to black truffle fries for $2 (as one does) and added a Diet Coke for $2.75. With tip, my total came to $25--very reasonable for the experience I was about to have. I returned to my seat and soaked in the atmosphere. A few minutes later, Order Station Man reappeared to let me know they were out of the bacon jam sauce that was supposed to go on my sandwich--but offered to whip up something similar if that was okay. YES. Always yes. Thank you for offering a solution instead of a shrug. This is a huge win in my book! While I waited, more folks filtered in and joined the couple seated near me. They clearly knew each other, and after a bit of chatting, someone called the group to order and they all introduced themselves. That's when I realized I had unknowingly scored dinner-and-a-show: a Dungeons & Dragons meetup. I ate my burger while listening to character introductions. Zero complaints. And the food? Exactly what I hoped for. The smash burger was a perfect, smaller patty--ideal size for me--loaded with creamy burrata on a fluffy roll. I quickly finished the entire thing, which is the highest compliment I can give. Midway through my meal, Order Station Man appeared again--this time holding a bowl of black truffle fries--and apologized for initially sending regular fries. I hadn't even noticed (I was focused on the smashburger spectacular!) or said a word, but he fixed it anyway. And I'm so glad he did because these truffle fries were ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Crispy, flavorful, and officially added to my "I need fries from this place" list. Despite a few wrinkles (which were all handled beautifully), this was a genuinely great experience. Friendly staff, flexible kitchen, cozy atmosphere, and food that delivered. Highly recommend. Parking could be tricky at peak times, but I parked across the street in the old bank lot without issue. Revolutionary Eatery & Brewpub understands hospitality--and apparently also understands my very specific sandwich dreams.

The building is a former printing plant which has a spacious tap rooms/dining on the first floor and the Abbey Bar (with occasional live music) upstairs. I'm a big fan of ABC for many reasons, not the least of which is their variety of approachable and tasty beer styles for nearly any taste. ABC manages to stay creative with a mix of standard selections with a rotating cast of seasonals--but nothing too exotic. The food has been good in my experience and I confess a particular liking for the pierogies--pretty darn good for this part of PA. Service at this location has been uniformly excellent during all my visits. A couple of mild quirks about the Cameron Street location: first, parking is a bit odd. There's a small lot near the entrance but most parking is near the back of the building. Second, the brewery is on a slightly industrial stretch of Cameron Street. Translation: the neighborhood looks worse than it actually is! ABC runs an excellent small chain of brew pubs (I've visited most of them) but I think the original has a je ne sais quoi that makes it special.

My husband loves their beer, and they have great cider and NA options as well!

Visited on a beautiful January Tuesday around 5pm -- prime "let's grab a casual slice and a drink"…read moretime. Ordering was simple enough. We grabbed three pizza slices -- bacon cheeseburger, meat lovers, and buffalo chicken ($5.25 each), two bottled waters ($2.89 each), and two adult beverages from the cooler: a Wynridge Cider Co. Pumpkin Spice cider I had been wanting to try and a Pizza Boy Mangoes Hazy IPA ($5.50 each). One small surprise on the bill was a mysterious 4.80% service fee (in our case, $1.57). I assume this covers table service since the staff brings the food out rather than calling your name. Not a huge issue, just something to be aware of when budgeting your visit. Total came to $35.67. Let's talk pizza. The pizza itself was perfectly fine -- hot, well topped, and satisfying enough for a quick meal. But compared to other local spots serving really strong pizza, the pricing felt noticeably higher...about $2 more per slice (sometimes more depending on the comparison). And while the pizza was good, I personally didn't find anything that set it apart enough to justify the difference. I finished one slice and could have easily gone for dessert afterward, but after the slice pricing, I didn't even bother looking at the dessert case. Sometimes the wallet makes decisions before the stomach does. The Pizza Boy Mangoes Hazy IPA was the highlight for me -- bright mango flavor, smooth, and light enough that I could absolutely see having more than one if that's your vibe. Parking was easy with spots right out front, plus additional signage pointing to nearby overflow parking if needed. Overall, the experience was...fine. Nothing bad, nothing frustrating, just nothing particularly memorable either. I ate pizza. I had a cider. And then I left. Their slogan is "Pizza. Beer. Happy." For me, it landed somewhere closer to: Pizza. Beer. Content.
