Fenced in outdoor space, corn hole, food, drinks, live music, and recommended by a friend. And technically it had all of those things! And yet somehow, those things were generally only okay. First, music was inside and it was incredibly loud. So we go outside which was just.... A mess. Like, we got mustard on our clothes from an unclean table; food and napkin scraps all stuck in the grass everywhere you looked. Then, the service outside is through a window, which in itself is no problem. The issue is that it was single server on a Friday night and the line took a really long time. We have eaten here a few times, it's good but could be better. I always get the same thing the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich because I know it will be tasty. My husband has tried a few different things that he always says is alright. The soft pretzel with the cheese is pretty scrumptious! We aren't beer drinkers so I can't review on that and yes, I know it's a brewery which we frequent a lot because we like the food and atmospheres. Stopped in for a Valentine's lunch with my daughter yesterday. They were all decorated on the inside for the holiday. An extremely beautiful brewery, one of the nicest and cleanest I've been to. A very warm and cozy waiting room when you first walk in. Plenty of seating inside and outside. A fireplace separating the waiting room and dining room with lounge chairs in front of it on both sides. We started off with the fry tower. My daughter got a flatbread pizza and I got the Nashville Chicken Sandwich. Fries were very good. The pizza was ok according to my daughter. The chicken sandwich was just ok as well, it was missing something to make it stand out. The chips that came with the sandwich were great, they were homemade chips. Wanted to love this place but dan't plan to return. The first time we tried to go, they were open but only serving a late night menu (we missed the cutoff by a few minutes). So we decided to return another time. The second time we went, we took young adults with us for music trivia (trivia ended up boring them so we only stayed for dinner). Some of the food was ok. Some was good. Some was blah. All of it seemed just a little high for the quality and quantity. The brews were ok. My daughter got the Quad Berry Sorbet sour. It was just over $9 for a 16 oz. It was pretty good. Didn't seem to have the ABV they listed (8.7%) but maybe it was just really smooth. Hubby got the New Beginings and it was $8.25 for 16 oz and he really liked it. For food, the Beer Cheese and Soft Pretzels for $12 was excellent. The pretzels were average but the beer cheese was fabulous. We also had some french fry dish that was terrible and soggy and yuck. The Aged Cheddar Jalapeno Tomato Soup for $8 tasted like a bowl of pizza sauce. Nobody liked it. The $12 Caesar salad was average and not worth the price. The Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich was really liked for $16. The braised lamb sandwich for $18 was "good" but was more like a stewed meat than a grilled meat which was odd. The $19 burger wasn't worth it. The cornbread side wasn't worth the $8 and had butter poured on the top so it seemed greasy. Food just didn't live up. Nobody liked the ambiance, either. I love a good homemade ranch. However, I am not a huge fan of over dill, and theirs, unfortunately, is too much dill! However, the other two sauces were amazing. We will definitely be returning to this excellent eatery! We went on a night with live music and really enjoyed the energy. The decor and overall ambiance were a tad on the boujee side for a brewery--I felt like I should've worn something other than a sweatshirt, but no one seemed to mind. It's a very cool and sleek looking place. The servers were busy but adequately attentive, and friendly. My burger was great, although the gluten-free bun crumbled quickly as GF buns tend to do. My dining companion really enjoyed their burger, too. As for the drinks, fruity ones highly recommended! Both the stouts we tried were excessively sweet for our taste buds. We stopped in for beer and a bite of lite fare during happy hour (3-6). The People were 5 stars Place was 5 stars (the setup was well thought out.) Menus were easy to read 5 stars. There were 3 menus, Specials, food and a drinks menu. Each had prices and the beer menu told about the drink, the available sizes and prices. Now none of that is on the rating. You really don't care if I liked the place, you are reading about the beer and food, so... I had three styles of beers, an Oktoberfest, a Hefeweizen and a stout. All were a good range of the ABV, perfect for what you expect. The Heffe and Okto were just under 6 ABV, and the stout held at 4.1. The Oktoberfest was spot on, the Heffe was delicious but I opted for the added lemon and it improved the flavor yet again, as for the stout, it came out with a watery porter like flavor at first, but after letting it warm to something above 40 degrees, it hit the note perfectly. (I let it sit for about 45 minutes, the owner mentioned it did need to sit, most stout are enjoyed a bit above 40 degrees.) As for the food I was very pleased. I shared the pierogies with butter and onions and the crab cake platter with slaw fries and a remoulade sauce. The pierogies were right up my alley, the Potato filling with the crunchy shell and sour cream hit the target. A perfect filling to complement a few beers. The crab cakes showed a crabby meaty flavor with a modest amount of filling, my wife and I were surprised and happy to split the pair. All in all a must stop by in my book. read more

My best descriptor I can come up with is "meh." This was my first time here, and it was just ok. Not really my scene. Food was average. I had a Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. It wasn't very spicy, at all, and there was not nearly enough chicken to fill the roll. The drinks were very overpriced and, in my opinion, so was the food. While the food wasn't bad, it was nothing spectacular that would warrant the higher prices. We were with a group and were out on the patio. I've been traveling to the area for work for s couple years and this spot caught my eye. I was finally able to stop in! First, a beautiful venue. She assured us that it "warms up quickly." Well, 2 hours later, it was still freezing. Maybe we should have complained, but maybe the server should have noticed that we were shivering. 3 - Solid choice if you're in the area. Skip to the end to see my rating scale. I struggled trying to decide between a 3 or a 4 for Wolf Brewing. Every category teetered between the two. So in the end, I decided to let the beer be the deciding factor. The most interesting beer they had was a mojito beer...I appreciate the uniqueness. But the rest of the menu was so-so. I got a flight to try as many varieties as I could, but none blew me away. Again...solid choice if you're in the area, but nothing that would make me go out of my way to drink. Large indoor space and equally large outdoor space that is pet-friendly which I greatly appreciate. Both very nice but neither cozy nor inviting...it's sort of a modern sterile feel. Hand in hand with that is the service, and honestly the service is what made the rating hard for me. When we were there they had LOTS of people working and every one of them was excellent. Friendly, accommodating, helpful...but none up-in-your-face annoying. If I was rating the staff, they'd get a 5 from me - no question. But...you have to go inside to order. As nice as the outdoor area is and as great as the servers/bartenders are, you get forgotten if you sit outside. Kind of a bummer. However, when my wife received a gift card, we decided to give it another chance, which turned out to be a mistake. We ordered Pitt Beef sandwiches and beer flights. Really liked Wolf Brewing. Went on a Wednesday evening and it was relatively empty. We sat in their outdoor area which was a mixture of stones and grass. There were a couple corn hole boards to play with. When in the outdoor area you have to go up to the window and order your drinks and food. They will still bring it out to you. We ordered the chicken and waffles, sweet heat pierogis, crab cake sandwich and kids burger. Oh and can't forget the best part- on the prowl beer (hazy IPA) - it was amazing. Actually everything we ordered was super good. Never know what you are going to get with brewery food and Wolf is totally worth stopping. Wolf Brewing is a very nice contemporary brew pub located in the emerging Legacy Park development in Mechanicsburg, PA. This review is strictly beers and facility as I didn't have a chance to sample the food on this visit. The brew pub is very large and has a contemporary feel throughout. There were over a dozen house-brewed beers on tap during our recent visit in addition to a full bar and a nice selection if wines by the glass. The main bar is a beautiful marble top in a large room with plenty of TVs for sports fans. Despite the large room snd full crowd the noise level was quite manageable and we were able to carry on normal conversation. Wolf also has smaller side rooms and a very nice outdoor dining space. The attention to detail and quality are evident everywhere I tried the Haka session IPA and the Dubs IPA and both were quite tasty and fresh. We visit often to see local music. Beautiful fireplace, large open bar/seating area. Wait staff is usually very attentive. Food is a little on the pricey side, and we've tried many different items, but haven't found that one go to food. When in doubt what to order, burger is usually consistent. Pit beef was mostly roll, little filling. Perogies are fried and dry. Worth a visit here and there, but not our first choice for food. read more
