The three things I look for in a brewery are an inviting outdoor space, accessibility to some good grub, and (of course) some quality beers. Big bonus if a place is dog friendly. Shy Bear easily accomplishes all three and earns a double bonus for welcoming our Doodle. The staff was great - they were packed but our hostess and waitress both made sure we were taken care of without being up-in-your-face. They understood both the food and beer menus and were able to make good suggestions. The overall atmosphere of the place was fun too - trivia night was going on while we were there and even the people who weren't playing along were obviously engaged. We had lunch not too much earlier, but we couldn't pass up trying one of the flatbreads that the waitress recommended. We were very happy that we did - just the right size and very tasty. Riley managed our section like a rock star and the drink orders were non-stop, delivered quickly and never in error or forgotten. Riley was always smiling, friendly, professional, efficient, and really made the night extra special. Of note, her enthusiasm level was peak from beginning to end, you rarely see this next level service anymore. This place had tons of seating, but still had an insane wait time. People were flowing out the door. They had a nice outdoor area which is a bonus when the weather is nice.
