Stopped by for a late lunch. Place only has a handful of customers. Staff included a bartender, a cook, and the counter person. Was greeted promptly in a friendly manner. Counter person was helpful. Placed order and went to bar to order drinks. Was hoping for a quality root beer, but no luck. Settled on a Coke. Found a seat in a side room by myself under a vent. (Safer for Covid, I hoped.) place has an eclectic goth decor. My room had a Nintendo set up to play, dried flowers hanging on the wall, and taxidermy trophies of various sorts. Odd. Food was ready quickly. I had the El Pastor Fries, with a request to hold the onions and cilantro. They did without complaint. REALLY TASTY dish. Fries were average, but the toppings made them a satisfying meal. I ordered the soup of the day, Corn Chowder. It had a suspicious amount of yellow to it, so I asked. Sure enough, it had turmeric in it. Good on them for checking when I asked, for knowing, and for offering a replacement. (Badly allergic to turmeric .) I got a side of mac cheese instead. They offered to add a meat to it due to price difference (nice) but I declined. It was tasty. But they were right, it hold have been better with a protein. For dessert I ordered the fudge brownie with smoked cherries. It was, as counter person told me, amazingly tasty. A little undercooked, but exceptionally fudgy without being too fudge-like. Great taste. Huge portion. The brownie could have been smaller or it needed more whip cream. Worth the price. Only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was the lack of masks. We are on the downswing of the omicron wave, but the numbers here are still extremely high. As a venue, it's a 4-star spot - the stage space was great and the acoustics were really good for the event. The staff was friendly, which was definitely a plus. But note while the bathroom had a fun, artistic vibe, it was unfortunately not that clean and was missing stall doors, which was a bit off-putting. However, as a brewery, they didn't meet expectations. We had specifically driven from MD to check out our band, over going to DC, figuring it would be a great opportunity to try some craft beers on tap. When we visited, they only had guest beers on tap. We had to buy their beer to go only. It was a bit of a letdown considering we were looking forward to local brews. Overall, the venue itself was nice, but the brewery experience didn't quite live up to the hype. Would still recommend for events, but be aware if you're coming for the beer/band experience! read more

This a horror themed brewery with a great stage for music. I could not be more excited. When you come in, they have a Necronomicon staring down at you, which is a great nod to the Evil Dead movies. The beers were all good and they have a decent selection of food too. We went to see ska band Save Ferris. The band was awesome but the sound system was just so so. Not sure if that is band issue or location issue. They have a great deck out back to hang out. Would definitely come back again. read more

Ok...I felt like a soccer mom who wandered into a place you don't normally find a soccer mom. It was fairly empty tonight between 630 and 7 pm. We had to order at the bar as there was no table service. Then you get a buzzer and pick up your own food at the service window. This was a little disappointing as we were hoping not to have to do this while going out. We did try the QR code for the menu that is on the table and the bartender said it was out of date and got us menus. I didn't see any table games a previous reviewer mentioned. They do have pool and pinball. The ambiance is definitely got a steampunk horror vibe going on. My spouse loved it. A vampire movie was playing on the TV screens. I have to say the closed captioning was hysterical. They showed a couple kissing, and the captioning said "smooches". The food was better than a diner but not spectacular. My burger was very salty. The hamburger Mac was better than the boxed kind, but still needed ketchup. Oh, and don't bring the kids. The vampire movies that showed them eating a beating heart is definitely not kid friendly. Luckily, ours were at home. It did make eating a burger less appealing. They do have beer to go and my spouse liked their beer with dinner. Would I go again....probably...just not dressed as a mom. I hate being negative but I have to admit...This one's one of the most disappointing experiences of my 6,000 mile food and brewery trip this summer. I waited 7 minutes at bar full of 3 people before an employee was even visible. Then, I ordered the stout which they said they didn't have. Another example of how they have the subscribed beer app Untappd but are either lazy in their updating or use as a money grab to get you in door. I kid you not though, I physically couldn't pick up my beer. Every time I tried to take a sip it was physically stuck to the sticky bar...I have a video it wouldn't let me upload. read more

Cool atmosphere but the food was on the good side of okay. Was there on a Wednesday night and the place was pretty empty. We seated ourselves and were to order at the bar. We did and our pager went off quickly to pick up our food at the window. I ordered the Meat Sweats burger, which was topped with bacon and pulled pork. My husband got the Black and Blue burger. We also shared cheesesteak eggrolls. I started by eating the pulled pork from the top of my burger and it was delectable. There was a visible smoke ring on the large chunks of meat. It was perfectly moist and well seasoned. The slaw was tangy and I enjoyed that too. However, my burger was way, way overdone. Now, I prefer my burgers to be very pink. This burger had a thick layer of black char on both sides and the meat was gray and dried out. I enjoyed the tots that I requested with it, but they were a little oversalted. The cheesesteak eggrolls were tasty. I liked the beer cheese they were served with. m not sure if refills were available on our sodas because we didn't have table service and didn't go back to the bar. read more

This is a "thing" that you either get or you don't. The Lovedrafts theme began in downtown Harrisburg at the similarly named JB Lovedrafts Micropub, but these are not the same name, place or ownership. Get it straight Yelp!!! The ribbon cutting was this past Monday and they had two soft opening events and are now open for business ahead of the grand opening Saturday August 7. Leave the kids at home, no one under 21 will be admitted. This is not a family kinda place, ya dig? Plenty of parking in the huge lot. Place your food order with the person at the ordering station, grab a pager, and go find a table or sit at the bar. We're all big boys, girls, and they's, so figure it out, mmmk? Plenty of food and drink items. Went with the brisket tacos and backyard Buffalo fry basket. Both great and large, not bad for ~$24 all in. Drinks (cocktails) were reasonably priced around $7 each and the beer samples were free this day ahead of the taps being officially opened at the grand opening. The three samples were pretty tasty and I look forward to trying the first 13 and eventual 28 beers they'll have on tap, all brewed in house! I'm really excited for this place and I wish them much success in the future, but I'm sure they won't need that for me and they'll be just fine on their own for many years to come. read more

This location is venue only so it is only open when they have an event. They have events normally on weekends and sometimes during the week. The have house liquors, no name brand or top shelf. And of course, they brew their own beers. this type of place is definitely not for kids. In fact I believe you have to be over 21 just to get in. some of the events I've been to here have been a little rough.so if you're easily offended this may not be the place for you. their menu for the type of place has some really decent food. I suggest you check it out on their website when you're looking for events they have. Service is OK. They have a limited help and they're set up with no table service so you have to pick up your own food. i've been to this place about a half dozen times and they have made a few changes. Lovedraft brewing is a good place to go hang with your friends since it has tables that has Nintendo games and card games. It has a very casual environment which is great. However, for the price of the food, they don't taste that good. The beer is also just average. I have their Beermosa, Ultraviolet, and Peach Cream Ale, and they don't have much of an impression. There's better brewery out there with better food and drink. read more

Stopped by this place 5 pm on a Friday when they were clearly open. No one welcomes you in. No tables were set up. When we ventured further inside the restaurant to find a server or tables, an employee came out and hostilely told us to "get out of here" without any further explanation. I was with my husband and my two teenaged sons. There were no reviews or notes about not allowing children that early, but I certainly respect if they choose not to allow kids there at all. I would just expect them to have an employee who explains that politely rather than yelling at us, "hey, get out of here." To be clear: the ONLY words anyone spoke to us while there were "hey, get out of here" and we spoke exactly zero words to anyone there as we turned around and complied. Edit: Management responded in writing. They agreed with the factual summary and argued it was acceptable behavior for their employees. So, at least be forewarned that if you enjoy sanctioned verbal hostility, this establishment is for you. If you don't enjoy being treated like trash, spend your money anywhere else. There are so many better breweries and music venues out there. read more

Overall, the beer is pretty decent, but if you're coming here for the live music, there aren't enough earplugs in the world to save your hearing. Whoever runs the audio is either deaf or has no inclination as to what good sound quality and production should actually sound like. Went to see starbenders and the place is so sick. The vibes are awesome. Security has great vibes, easy to get in. Once you're in they stamp you so you can come in and out. Bathrooms are unique covered in graffiti and stickers. Sound system was amazing, ears weren't ringing at all after the show. Drinks were good and cheap which everyone loves. If one of your favorite bands are coming here totally worth it!! read more

So my mom and I were trying to find a place for my birthday. I have seen it from Yelp plus it was a former restaurant we been in plus BBQ. We went after Denny's was short staffed. We went into this restaurant which on the left was pinball and a few other games. No wait staff, no people to seat us, out first time which the one staff person was ok not the friendliest people. We look at the menu before ordering it and pick a table. My pulled pork Mac and cheese not that great and pulled pork good not the Mac and cheese no cheese flavored (to me it wasn't a Mac and cheese pasta it was a spiral pasta). Mom had the smoked turkey sandwich (forgot the actual name) the fries were fresh but mom was not impressed. Neither was I. I don't like hearing hard rock while eating I wanted to rush eat out of here it was uncomfortable. There was your order at the register get the buzzer and pick up at another part. Not note with soda we did ask they did. Lots of alcohol too. TVs Arthur and another crappy show. A live entertainment stage. So to me this was a bar joint to hang out before going to a concert or something. So I know that is long. To sum it up it was uncomfortable to go hear with screaming loud music, Plus the people if you are not there friends they will not make you feel like one. The food was meh fries were good that's it. Adults only brew pub that has plenty of parking, fun graffiti style walls inside with a large bar, lounge, plenty of tables, stage where bands play almost every night, pool table and multiple tvs set up with different old school video games such as Nintendo and Sega! Now, on to the customer service, beer and food. Great customer service at both the bar and the counter where you order and pay for your food as the kitchen is separate from the bar tab. As a craft beer fan, I thought the beer wasn't any good. They all have that home brew taste, with a less than appealing amount of carbonation and limited mouth feel. As someone who roots for inclusion, I think this place is an awesome hangout for the alternative crowd. We won't be back anytime soon, but wish this place nothing but success. read more

I visited Lovedraft's Brewing yesterday evening with friends. After we got settled, we were told that a band would be playing soon, and instructed to either move to a small bar area in the front of the restuarant or leave. I think a cover was required to keep our table, but this was not clearly explained. The main bar area where the band was setting up was not crowded, but after we moved as instructed, the staff closed a number of doors isolating us from the sparsely filled band area and bar tenders. I recall a bartender checking on me one time. If the intent was to prevent us from hearing the live entertainment, they failed because you can still hear it. Isolating customers only diminishes the quality of service. It felt as though they only cater to a particular crowd and because we did not mesh with that vibe, our presence was not welcome or wanted. I ordered the cheesesteak egg rolls and they were bland and very disappointing. I will not be returning. read more

Met folks tonight as Lovedraft's and as it was my first time visiting was hoping for a positive experience. Boy was I wrong. After we settled in we were told we would have to move to the front room as their was a band getting ready to play and if we wanted to stay at our seats we would have to pay a cover. Wrong...so we moved. Ordered the Nine Nine and it was probably the most seasoned sandwich I ever have had. In fact I couldn't finish it as the seasoning was over whelming (think of someone just pouring the season on to the meat instead of measuring it out). If you are looking for some place to enjoy an evening do NOT go to this place as it is HORRIBLE!!!! read more

I was in town visiting my Sister for a couple of days and as the planner I am I was researching all the cool spots to hit up. Came across Lovedrafts and noticed there was a karaoke night happening on Wednesday evening, let me tell you I am so glad we decided to stop by! We had the time of our lives with lots of laughs, great drinks, and an incredible atmosphere. Lovedrafts is the type of bar you'd want as your local hangout spot with friends, such a chill, free environment with awesome staff, a dope DJ and just carefree vibes. We tried the new Escapegoat hard seltzers and they were incredible!! Highly recommend! Stopped in for a bite and a beer. Stayed 3 hours and enjoyed their brews and atmosphere. The food is pretty good. They put their own unique spin on the menu. The service at the bar was friendly and fast. Also as a bonus they had the "Sopranos" playing which is one of my favorites. Definitely a great spot to hang. Not a good experience at all. Their menu online has a lot of options, once you get there the actual menu is not even half of what you see online. Ordered Deadwood sandwich that is to have brisket and pulled pork with BBQ sauce and toppings. Meat was mushy and the only flavor was the hot sauce I added. Toasted bun was burnt. Macaroni and cheese was maybe one step above a box mix... adding a lot of ground black pepper does not make it restaurant quality. Definitely not worth the $26 for these items. Generally slow service, real thin menu and definitely not restaurant/bar quality food. read more

The food is always great, the beer (especially the rad and retro wow) are awesome, and of course the entertainment is top notch. To a few other reviewers who were upset at being asked to move due to a show or complaining about shows in general, don't come to a music venue? This place was so much fun! The food was delicious - I had the Mac n cheese bowl with pulled pork. The drinks were yummy. The stuff that really had me excited was the overall decor which has a 90s grunge vibe, but at the same time takes you right back to childhood (action figures on the ceiling, Nintendo's on the tables, drinks called Yoo-Hoo, and Surge). You have to have a sense of humor to enjoy this place. I had so much fun I went back again the next night! This'll definitely be one of my fav spots now. read more

I totally understand carding people when they come in but when someone is 42 years old and has an ID that's expired someone should train the bar tender that it's policy to card everyone and not serve them if they don't have a valid ID but let her know that you don't lose you liquor license over it.... Look it up that is a fact, someone doesn't magically turn under 21 if their ID is expired. We were brewery hopping from out of town. Nothing on their website about a show. We arrive with one goal...to drink some locally made beer. But after a $20 uber trip (double that with the round trip) we are told there is a show with a $25 coverage charge, per person, just to get a seat and have a beer. No thank you. Should have clearly advertised the show and cover. This late into the show they clearly should have been understanding. My recommendation...plenty of other breweries around. AVOID THIS ONE. read more
