The lounge waiter and the coal changer were amazing. Friendly and attentive. The Hookah was perfect and you just don't feel rushed at all. We were there for 4 hours and enjoyed every minute. Although they advertise food and drinks there were none and the website was down so ordering was from an old picture they had. However, they seemed very comfortable with patrons bringing in their own food and hard drinks. The music they played became too loud around 10 pm and it was hard to hear my friends. Now....the price. Unbelievably fair and inexpensive. Two full Hookahs/four hours....30 dollars! Not kidding at all! Amazing and I would highly recommend.

Drinks were good--the bar tenders don't short ya on the liquor they put in. They also were really good about getting us water when we asked for it and not forgetting/ignoring like happens and some other clubs. The place was clean and beautiful, and it felt like a safe place where women can have fun without worry of unwanted sexual harassment. We loved the waterfall fixtures and lighting by the seats. Music was okay... though the DJ had a real dependency on using alarm SFX. It became a joke by the end of the night. We loved the staff. The bartenders were awesome when we arrived. The bouncer and front desk attendant were very nice. Our favorite was David, the security guy, who was kind enough to fix one of our girls' broken shoe and also pulled an intoxicated guy out of our dance circle. Overall, we had a fun time and decided the lower key scene was more our speed than the club across the street that had a police K-9 unit parked in front of it.

So it wasn't that loud in here and everybody was respectful to the fact that trivia was going on. I can second that it has its fair share of "old regulars." Which is kind of a good thing. We entered and went right up to the bar to take a seat. We were greeted quickly and had our drinks in our hands within minutes. Due to it being trivia night I found it to be rather slow with customers but fast on service. The gentleman that was the bartender for the night looked a little bored but was still on top of his game. Great atmosphere in here. Dim lighting making for a more cozy bar experience. Even though it was a bar it wasn't very noisy the night we attended. Aside from the booming voice on the microphone for trivia night.

This was one of the few places that was open, so came here for food. The ambiance is nice but old. This was a swanky place in the 00's but the times have changed. Not too far off from modern styles but not bad. Server was very kind, let me peruse the breakfast buffett and decide on my meal options. The buffett was very standard, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, bacon, assorted pastries, you know the drill. I looked through their menu and asked if they could do a French toast. They said it was on the menu and it wasn't. I then took a gamble. I told them to warm up some bananas and brown sugar and place that as a sauce on top of the French toast. Essentially trying to force them to make a impromptu bananas foster type French toast They tried, and the results were pretty good! They didn't actually warm up the bananas and brown sugar. Instead they warmed up the bananas and sprinkled brown sugar over the dish. They did add extra cinnamon so they mostly got it right. Then they put warm maple syrup on the base and put the French toast on it Although execution wise it was a slip, the flavors were all there. The French toast was custardy and cinnamon forward with the brown sugar, warmed banana, and maple syrup made for a great sweet bite. Price was 14 with the add-ons (not pictured is a very large bowl of vanilla ice cream. Little too big to add into pictures) which also included orange juice, coffee, and a side fruit. You get your money's worth for sure. Overall, a pretty successful gamble. Not the best breakfast fare but they go above and beyond for the customer.

When did they start that? Why? To kill off their business obviously. The door man told us we'd have to wait a few minutes to "clear some people out," so I'm thinking it's packed and poppin'. Cleared out, yes, poppin', no. Basically, I will return again only if: I'm too drunk to remember why I shouldn't go here or if I have a date I want to dance with alone on the dance floor. Or maybe take a dump in the bathroom since it's not too busy and I could have privacy. All three above scenarios seem unlikely, so I won't be back any time soon.

Knock has to be one of the coolest bars in the Harrisburg area, and I cannot wait to go back…read more I recently visited Knock during Harrisburg's parade day, after a long day of day drinking. My best friend, who lives locally, told us about the place. We were hesitant leaving the comfort of 2nd street, but we followed her down Pine Street and stopped at the entrance to "Madam Knock's Pine Street Beauty Parlor." After giving the bouncer the weekly password (this can be found on their facebook /knock.hbg, twitter @knock_hbg, or instagram @knock_hbg), we went up a flight of stairs and entered the Beauty Parlor. The Beauty Parlor was set up perfectly, and after giving the password one more time, the bookshelf vanished to the side.... and TA DA! We entered the Speakeasy, a whole new world. The music was pumping, the drinks were flowing, people were dancing, the lights were low, and we were in for a good time. The entire bar/ club has a Prohibition-era style fashion with dark hardwood floors, lots of purple, and chandeliers. The bar was located all the way to the back, which is also where the exit is. There is a dance floor in the middle, and centered is a DJ. There are a few seating areas in addition to the VIP sections. I think there was a total of 3 VIP sections which ran about $250 + per a night. The drinks were fruity and presented well- I wish I could comment on the price, but I really can't recall. You can browse their drink menu on their website. Knock is only open on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 PM until 2 AM. This is a Harrisburg MUST.

My daughter ordered the Mother‑Clucker (pictured), and after she gave me a bite, I immediately regretted not getting my own. Between the vibe and the food, it honestly felt like a little slice of heaven. Highly recommend stopping in for dinner.

The ambience didn't seem much like a speakeasy. It was more like a regular bar/restaurant. For lunch, I requested fish tacos and sweet potato fries. My fish tacos each had a large piece of fish in them. The fish was seasoned and cooked perfectly, was flaky, and delicious. My sweet potato fries were a little overcooked, but still pretty good. Highly recommend that dish. My daughter's soup of the day (chicken & rice) missed the mark. But her club sandwich was the size of her head! If we're in Harrisburg, we'll visit again. Great meal!
