Supermarkets don't carry some of the vegetables that we love, but USA Vegetables does! Silver Queen corn is a variety that grows best in south Alabama & Georgia and parts of north Florida. It's is only available from mid May to early June. There's another crop in the Fall, but it's not as sweet. You're able to buy bushels - I cream some for freezing and enjoy ears hot off the grill. USA also carries a variety of peas; white acre, crowder, creamers, and black eyed as well as lots of other fruits and veggies & farm fresh eggs. Take the drive & check them out

The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and there was plenty of parking which made the visit easy and stress free. We also highly recommend them if you are looking to buy bulk food items because they had a great variety and solid pricing. The layout might be a little tricky for someone completely new to plants, but if you're willing to explore a bit, there are definitely some gems here. Pricing is a bit all over the place--some plants are super affordable (cheaper than big box stores!), while others are surprisingly expensive even when compared to other local plant shops like Serpentine. One standout feature is their $3 plant section, which I haven't seen anywhere else. It's a great spot to find a small, budget-friendly plant. Most of the plants looked very healthy and well cared for, though I did spot a monstera with a leaf that looked like it had been "bitten," as my partner joked. I also noticed they have a plant membership advertised on the back wall, but there wasn't much info about how it works. Overall, worth a visit for plant lovers!

We got there a bit later than expected so went straight to the blueberry fields- they had a variety of varieties, just starting to ripen, will be lots of picking for the next few weeks- priced by the pound they are a great value compared to store prices - we went for the large berries to make jam, syrup and pies, the petite ones would be perfect for muffins and pancakes- it was a wonderful morning with my son and well worth the drive.

Terrific family-owned blueberry farm and nursery! They open up for U-Pick around mid-April to…read moremid-May depending on the growing season. For the 2017 season, they charged $3 per pound for U-Pick and $4 per pound for We-Pick [They-Pick]. The prices are way cheaper than the grocery store and you support a family-owned local Florida blueberry farm instead of getting your blueberries from Chile or New Zealand during off-season. We buy in bulk and freeze the rest. When the farm is open to the public and you would rather just pick up some blueberries instead of picking (it's usually pretty hot during blueberry season), it's recommended you call ahead so they can have your blueberries ready for you. Definitely worth the drive and something fun for the whole family. Remember, season is short so don't forget to mark your calendars for next season! :)
