I have been buying plants online for several years now and Plantstay is my favorite. The plants I receive from them are healthy and gorgeous! read more

This shop has a lot of charm and some unique offerings, but a few things could be improved. When I walked in, I wasn't greeted by the staff, even though they didn't appear to be busy. The layout might be a little tricky for someone completely new to plants, but if you're willing to explore a bit, there are definitely some gems here. Pricing is a bit all over the place--some plants are super affordable (cheaper than big box stores!), while others are surprisingly expensive even when compared to other local plant shops like Serpentine. One standout feature is their $3 plant section, which I haven't seen anywhere else. It's a great spot to find a small, budget-friendly plant. Most of the plants looked very healthy and well cared for, though I did spot a monstera with a leaf that looked like it had been "bitten," as my partner joked. I also noticed they have a plant membership advertised on the back wall, but there wasn't much info about how it works. Overall, worth a visit for plant lovers! read more

I will start by saying I'm very dissatisfied with this vendor. I placed an order in may 5 received my order on may 21 2026. After I got my plants one of them was dead. I contacted customer services letting them know. They asked me for a picture as proof, I sent them the picture of the dead plant they never got back to me. After few email no answer back. We are may 28 still no answer. I'm very disappointed in this company will never order again and I will be calling my credit card for a refund. read more

I've gone here and gotten some great service when it comes to help with picking out a plant that can survive the rough and tough terrain that is my home. They made me feel okay about letting some of my plants not quite make it through the year... but I promise I'm trying! A lovely local plant store that I enjoy supporting. Can you some of these cheaper at a big box store? Sure, but these local plant stores are here to do a bit more than what a big box can offer and I'm here for it! read more

I am a monthly subscriber. I went out of town for 3 months on an emergency and tried to get my plants put on hold or make some other arrangements but I had the toughest time getting hold of anyone on the phone. I tried the email only to have a response that said they don't do holds, that basically I have to get it picked up by someone else. They did offer to extend it to the new years by 2 more months. However, my work wouldn't allow me to take that option. Not being able to call and explain my situation and talk to a real person is very frustrating. Is this a business? Why have a number listed when it is not connected to a line. I used to be a local and firmly supported this store for two years. Absolutely disappointing. You rose in popularity with support - don't forget your patrons. You will lose credibility. You definitely lost this one. read more

This is my favorite place in Gainesville to buy houseplants! The employees are very nice and informative, their reward system is great, and they get new stuff on a regular basis. I have also come to find that the prices are better than several other stores I have been to. I highly recommend checking them out, if you're into cool houseplants! read more

I found Bren's plant pop up over a month ago at Sandy's Boutique. A friend of mine had expressed her interest on the Facebook which piqued my curiosity. So glad I did and NOW they have a brick n' mortar shop. Yay! Much success to this mom n' pop's operation. Love all they rare specimens. If you're not an outdoor person but you love nature, why not bring the outdoors inside and create your peaceful sanctuary with the help of this store. Have a great adventure! read more

My partner and I discovered Plantstay a couple weeks ago - this is definitely the local place to go for houseplant needs. We stopped by yesterday and a customer was shopping inside, maskless. I understand this puts employees in a tough position to enforce the safety guidelines, but we did not go in, and instead ordered a planter online. We really love this place but if they're not enforcing safety guidelines, we won't be back. read more

Walked in no greeting. But someone that doesn't look like me came in and got the works. Hi how you doing let me know if you need help with anything. My sister and I didn't even need help but give us the chance to say no thank you. If I could give less than 1 i would. Serpentine plants are better anyway. read more
