This is my go-to place for flowers in Gainesville. I stumbled onto them simply because they were the closest Florist to my usual grocery store. Needed one single rose, with thorns, and no baby's breath or greenery. The bill came to under $4, but they treated me as though I had placed an order for a huge wedding. Subsequently I've found that, no matter how large or how small my order, they treat me like I was their favorite customer, for whom every bit of service was a delight. As to their flowers, I've ordered living flower arrangements sent to hospital rooms, and found them in great shape, even with the usual hospital neglect, after a week in the sickroom. My holiday table arrangement was beautiful, exactly what this picky customer requested -- and it just kept going, lasted and lasted, far longer than I could have expected. Floral Expressions has ample parking spaces, great artistic sense, and lots of choice for people who may want to pick exactly the flowers they want. And oh yes, one thing more: the floral designers all seem to like one another, and even under stress (like the morning of Valentines Day) are having fun with each other and enjoying what they do. If you haven't been to FE yet, give they a try. You'll be glad you did. read more

Issue with the order but they quickly responded and helped with the situation. Delivery was very prompt

I used this amazing florist for my wedding 2 years ago. I wasn't sure how to bring my dream arrangements to life but Scott did a great job doing that! I told him I don't like a lot of greenery with my arrangements and he made sure not to over do it with them. They were so beautiful from the ones on the Pergola to the ones on the tables. My bouquet was beautiful and still keeps me aw when I look at pictures. read more

I'm giving this place Five Stars based upon customer service and beautiful arrangements. My parents sent me flowers for my birthday and they arrived in a very beautiful purple vase. They had told my mother that if any of the stems die that I could bring it back and they would replace them. Unfortunately I clearly have a brown thumb so my flowers ended up dying in about 5 days. I took them to Floral Expressions just to ask for some advice on how to possibly save any of the stems. The florist, Scott I think his name is, told me why they died so quickly, how to take care of them, and even told me that I could come back on Friday to see if he had any left over Flowers that he could assemble for me to try again. Much to my surprise, I came on Friday and even though they were swamped with funeral arrangements, he kindly gave me a couple of flowers and sent me on my way! It was so nice of him to do that and I really appreciated the way they approach customer service. read more

I called Floral Expression Florist to place an order for my cousin who was recently discharged from the hospital. I decided to use Expressions Florist as it was a close distance to the recipient's address. I chose a floral arrangement on their website. They made me aware my favorite color gerber daisies as pictured was not available as they did not have them in stock. We agreed upon the colors of that particular flower to include in the arrangement. Unfortunately the flowers were delivered with wilted roses. The recipient disappointed about the wilted roses that were included in the arrangement called the florist. My question is why would they include wilted roses in a floral arrangement? Although the florist made it right by delivering a new arrangement, I will never order from them again as the recipient just arrived home from a serious surgery and should not have had the inconvenience of calling the flower shop with the complaint of wilted roses especially while she was recovering from her hospital stay. read more

I ordered a valentines day package online over a week ago. Paid via card and was charged. It's 5:30 on Valentines day and no delivery or contact of any kind has been made. Tried to call both the numbers on their website and the one in my confirmation email. Number seemed to be disconnected. Very disappointing. read more

Stupendous!! I forgot today is my sister's birthday so I called Floral Expressions in a complete panic. I received the best, friendliest service ever! I called at 11:08 AM and my sister called me at 11:54 AM thanking me for the most beautiful bouquet of flowers ever. I never dreamed she would get them in less than an hour. Fabulous!!! They did not have the arrangement I wanted from online but said they would make something close. What she got was by far better than the arrangement I chose online. I will never use another florist in Gainesville again except Floral Expressions. Thank you Floral Expressions! You are wonderful! read more

I was looking for a local florist, but in a city where I don't live. I looked at the top three Gainesville florists on Yelp and liked Floral Expressions selections best. My family posted a picture of the arrangement, and it was beautiful. I thought the price equated to the arrangement as well. I was sent emails after ordering and delivery so I knew the status. I will order again whenever I have a need. read more

Wanted to send some flowers to a loved one who was staying in Gainesville for the better part of the week. I like to get her flowers and wanted her to have some for her stay in her room. Called this place on a whim and they were SUPER easy and friendly. Took care of all my requests, and had them delivered to the front desk for me in just a couple hours, for an extremely reasonable price! Recommend 100% AAA+++ read more

I had an out-of-town order as a surprise for my aunt (battling breast cancer), and was nervous about trusting a place I found online and had never actually been to. Floral Expressions went above and beyond in handling my order, and they had perfect timing- they arrived at the front door as my aunt was coming in the back from her first lumpectomy. She was in a painful, vulnerable moment but their kindness in accepting my late order, and the detail they put into it made her day and mine! Thank y'all!! read more

I recently placed an order for a floral arrangement for a friend recovering in the hospital. I will definitely choose your business again because of this great customer experience. read more

I went in the store to pick out a valentines arrangement for my wife. The young clerk was rude and inept. I picked out a special arrangement because of the color of the roses and the ribbon on the arrangement. Guess what...they delivered the arrangement with a different ribbon. I also picked out balloons . You would think they would do different colors... no, they were all the same color and none of them were red. Very disappointing. read more

Recently, my good friend's mother was in the hospital having a clot removed from her brain, and I wanted to send her flowers. I took a chance and called Floral Expressions Florist- I knew no florist in Gainesville and took a chance. I'm glad I did! The lady who took my order was very kind and thorough, and I told her the situation with my friend's mother...she was so sweet and empathetic. I told her I wanted something special with fresh flowers and a beautiful vase, and how much I wanted to spend. I gave them creative license, and asked for them to arrange something their own mother would like. The next morning, when my friend's mother opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the beautiful arrangement, and she was thrilled! She had my friend call me so that she could tell me how beautiful the flowers were, that they smelled like heaven, and the vase was spectacular! She said everyone who walked by stopped to smell them and comment on how pretty they were. The arrangement was posted on a Facebook, and it really was beautiful! There were assorted Spring flowers with plenty of roses, a hydrangea, lilys, and several sweet smelling stocks all mixed together- it really exceeded my expectations! I'm glad I chose Floral Expressions, and I will certainly use them again! read more

I was excited to find a florist on my way home from work, and to became a regular customer since I will have many floral needs over the years. I told the lady that I was planning an Hawaiian themed party and wanted an arrangement with all orchids. I was told that the store only had purple orchids. I said that was fine. I was told that orchids were expensive, so they would use some tropical flowers as fillers. I said that was fine. I was assured though that purple orchids would go all the way around the glass vase that I purchased. I prepaid for the arrangement. I was shocked when I arrived to pick up the flowers and saw yellow and purple orchids, (they were to be all purple) along with daisies and roses!! The arrangement was also just strange and not attractive at all and definitely not Hawaiian themed besides the orchids. I asked them to fix the arrangement, but they said they were out of orchids. I asked for the roses to be replaced, but they only had lilies to replace with, and it didn't match. I felt obligated to take the flowers as I had pre-paid and they were closing and I would not have enough time to find another florist since the event was that day. They did give me 25% off, but that really wasn't what I wanted. I wanted what I paid for- tropical flowers. Daisies and roses are not tropical!! Since the florist or owner was not there, I called on Monday to let them know of my disappointment. When I told the owner who I was, she told me, "yeah, I heard about you. " Uhh..not the way to talk to a customer. I very politely told her what happened and she said "well we gave you 25% off." like that solved the problem. I told her I was more than 25% unsatisfied. She proceeded to quickly get off the phone with me. What a waste! I give her a chance to make it right and provide good customer service and she totally misses the point. She didn't say she was sorry or act like she cared if I ever went back. I am a nice person, and I am very loyal, but if I get bad service I am going to tell everyone I know. In the end I paid $125 for a floral arrangement I was extremely disappointed in and they could care less. I would not recommend this florist. read more

Just want to comment not only on the beautiful arrangement but more importantly how wonderful the driver was. He is a young man with glasses in a company truck that went out of his way to come back and deliver after hours because I didn't answer the phone and wasn't home when he first came by. Please let him know the appreciation and dedication that it takes someone to do that considering 1800 flowers left a lumpy box on my door last year. read more

Got flowers delivered to us as a move in gift. My husband and I looked at each other and were surprised on how ugly the whole thing looked. We took a picture of it to thank my in-law and were a little surprised on how it looked also. The whole thing died and molded in 2 days. I am a professional florist making this review. I had a client needing to send flowers to Gainesville and after speaking with a number of shops I choose Floral Expressions. I am so glad I did as their were a few changes that had to be made after placing the initial order. Was never a problem with anyone I spoke with at the shop. They rolled with every punch we threw at them and all at a great price. My client just called me to say the flowers were FANTASTIC! Their great work made me look good and you can't ask for more than that. My new go to florist when needing to send to Gainesville, FL read more

I will never buy flowers from this place again and I would never recommend them to anyone. Why have email and a Facebook page for their customers if they are not going to bother checking them and respond to customer concerns? Plain and simple, their customer service is down right horrendous and the shoddy quality of their product speaks for itself. Do not have them make leis. I had them make leis for my wedding and within 12 minutes they were coming apart (it's all on video). I have pictures of the groomsmen trying to hold them together during the ceremony! I have noticed that when someone leaves a poor review they like to rebut by implying the customer has the wrong florist. I have the right florist, Facebook page, phone number and email. Check their Facebook page and you can follow the thread of comments I have left and after 5 weeks, have still not gotten a response. Maybe now I will get some sort of response....a girl can dream, right??? Floral Expressions, could you PLEASE RESPOND??? read more
