I'm giving this place Five Stars based upon customer service and beautiful arrangements. My parents sent me flowers for my birthday and they arrived in a very beautiful purple vase. They had told my mother that if any of the stems die that I could bring it back and they would replace them. Unfortunately I clearly have a brown thumb so my flowers ended up dying in about 5 days. I took them to Floral Expressions just to ask for some advice on how to possibly save any of the stems. The florist, Scott I think his name is, told me why they died so quickly, how to take care of them, and even told me that I could come back on Friday to see if he had any left over Flowers that he could assemble for me to try again. Much to my surprise, I came on Friday and even though they were swamped with funeral arrangements, he kindly gave me a couple of flowers and sent me on my way! It was so nice of him to do that and I really appreciated the way they approach customer service. read more

I called Floral Expression Florist to place an order for my cousin who was recently discharged from the hospital. I decided to use Expressions Florist as it was a close distance to the recipient's address. I chose a floral arrangement on their website. They made me aware my favorite color gerber daisies as pictured was not available as they did not have them in stock. We agreed upon the colors of that particular flower to include in the arrangement. Unfortunately the flowers were delivered with wilted roses. The recipient disappointed about the wilted roses that were included in the arrangement called the florist. My question is why would they include wilted roses in a floral arrangement? Although the florist made it right by delivering a new arrangement, I will never order from them again as the recipient just arrived home from a serious surgery and should not have had the inconvenience of calling the flower shop with the complaint of wilted roses especially while she was recovering from her hospital stay. read more

This is my go-to place for flowers in Gainesville. I stumbled onto them simply because they were the closest Florist to my usual grocery store. Needed one single rose, with thorns, and no baby's breath or greenery. The bill came to under $4, but they treated me as though I had placed an order for a huge wedding. Subsequently I've found that, no matter how large or how small my order, they treat me like I was their favorite customer, for whom every bit of service was a delight. As to their flowers, I've ordered living flower arrangements sent to hospital rooms, and found them in great shape, even with the usual hospital neglect, after a week in the sickroom. My holiday table arrangement was beautiful, exactly what this picky customer requested -- and it just kept going, lasted and lasted, far longer than I could have expected. Floral Expressions has ample parking spaces, great artistic sense, and lots of choice for people who may want to pick exactly the flowers they want. And oh yes, one thing more: the floral designers all seem to like one another, and even under stress (like the morning of Valentines Day) are having fun with each other and enjoying what they do. I went in the store to pick out a valentines arrangement for my wife. The young clerk was rude and inept. I picked out a special arrangement because of the color of the roses and the ribbon on the arrangement. Guess what...they delivered the arrangement with a different ribbon. Recently, my good friend's mother was in the hospital having a clot removed from her brain, and I wanted to send her flowers. I took a chance and called Floral Expressions Florist- I knew no florist in Gainesville and took a chance. I'm glad I did! The lady who took my order was very kind and thorough, and I told her the situation with my friend's mother...she was so sweet and empathetic. I told her I wanted something special with fresh flowers and a beautiful vase, and how much I wanted to spend. I gave them creative license, and asked for them to arrange something their own mother would like. The next morning, when my friend's mother opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the beautiful arrangement, and she was thrilled! She had my friend call me so that she could tell me how beautiful the flowers were, that they smelled like heaven, and the vase was spectacular! She said everyone who walked by stopped to smell them and comment on how pretty they were. The arrangement was posted on a Facebook, and it really was beautiful! There were assorted Spring flowers with plenty of roses, a hydrangea, lilys, and several sweet smelling stocks all mixed together- it really exceeded my expectations! He is a young man with glasses in a company truck that went out of his way to come back and deliver after hours because I didn't answer the phone and wasn't home when he first came by. I was excited to find a florist on my way home from work, and to became a regular customer since I will have many floral needs over the years. I told the lady that I was planning an Hawaiian themed party and wanted an arrangement with all orchids. I was told that the store only had purple orchids. I said that was fine. I was told that orchids were expensive, so they would use some tropical flowers as fillers. I said that was fine. I was assured though that purple orchids would go all the way around the glass vase that I purchased. I prepaid for the arrangement. I was shocked when I arrived to pick up the flowers and saw yellow and purple orchids, (they were to be all purple) along with daisies and roses!! The arrangement was also just strange and not attractive at all and definitely not Hawaiian themed besides the orchids. I asked them to fix the arrangement, but they said they were out of orchids. I asked for the roses to be replaced, but they only had lilies to replace with, and it didn't match. I felt obligated to take the flowers as I had pre-paid and they were closing and I would not have enough time to find another florist since the event was that day. They did give me 25% off, but that really wasn't what I wanted. I wanted what I paid for- tropical flowers. Daisies and roses are not tropical!! Since the florist or owner was not there, I called on Monday to let them know of my disappointment. When I told the owner who I was, she told me, "yeah, I heard about you. " Uhh..not the way to talk to a customer. I very politely told her what happened and she said "well we gave you 25% off." like that solved the problem. I told her I was more than 25% unsatisfied. She proceeded to quickly get off the phone with me. What a waste! I give her a chance to make it right and provide good customer service and she totally misses the point. She didn't say she was sorry or act like she cared if I ever went back. I am a nice person, and I am very loyal, but if I get bad service I am going to tell everyone I know. In the end I paid $125 for a floral arrangement I was extremely disappointed in and they could care less. I would not recommend this florist. read more

I will never buy flowers from this place again and I would never recommend them to anyone. Why have email and a Facebook page for their customers if they are not going to bother checking them and respond to customer concerns? Plain and simple, their customer service is down right horrendous and the shoddy quality of their product speaks for itself. Do not have them make leis. I had them make leis for my wedding and within 12 minutes they were coming apart (it's all on video). I have pictures of the groomsmen trying to hold them together during the ceremony! I have noticed that when someone leaves a poor review they like to rebut by implying the customer has the wrong florist. I have the right florist, Facebook page, phone number and email. Check their Facebook page and you can follow the thread of comments I have left and after 5 weeks, have still not gotten a response.
