(We weren't late but close. I'm guessing otherwise it wouldn't have been crowded.) The beams and chandelier were beautiful! We were towards the back and viewing the wedding party was almost impossible. It would have been helpful if they were elevated a bit. Also the person we asked could barley look up from her phone to answer us. They were serving alcohol but they could have had a water table so guests could at least serve themselves. You always have many older people at weddings and walking and waiting at a bar is not an option for them. I know they had to pivot on the service because of rain but we waited in line for drinks for 30 minutes, while they cut limes and lemons. I know they had to set up the bar but I feel like the garnishes for drinks should have already been cut ahead of time. When you have staff sitting in the front right by the bar and front door in chairs I would only assume that are meant for guests on their phones this does not say professional at all. I don't know what the family paid for the venue and I know they are busy attending to family and friends, so they might not notice, but as a guest it was hard not to notice. The greenhouse-esque covering for the ceremony space turned out to be completely necessary for our wedding (because of course it rained for the first time in October on our wedding day). Our pictures looked wonderful and our photographer was so excited to shoot here. There are truly so many beautiful spots to capture every moment; you really get the best of everything.

The food is fantastic, and the wine is so perfect that we have genuinely been considering becoming wine club members. Unfortunately, our last visit really gave us pause. We encountered an employee who had a horrible attitude, and the way she spoke to customers was incredibly negative and off-putting. We would love to keep coming back--and we want to join the club--but this experience left us doubting if we will return. The venue went under new ownership before our wedding day, and the new owner has made some very tasteful upgrades since we first toured which was a pleasant surprise! Caroline was wonderful to work with throughout the entire planning process. John the groundskeeper was also very helpful and friendly our entire stay. They made sure that our big day was perfect. Please review below: I contacted Caroline on August 29 at 10:58 to gain access to the lodging. She informed me of the entry gate code and told me to refer to the document details for the house code. The groundskeepers were still working at the rear of the house as well as at the venue. I was unable to access or utilize the garage space for storing event supplies, necessitating the transport of supplies into the house. The maintenance crew indicated that all of their supplies were present but could not be utilized. I sent Caroline photographs depicting the damage in the basement refrigerator and the old items that had been left behind. There was no toilet paper available in the restrooms. At 5 PM, I texted Caroline to inform her that the showers in the two restrooms were not functioning. Our guests were informed by your maintenance crew that the lodging had not been booked or used for some time. This situation caused an inconvenience that delayed our rehearsal by 30 minutes, as we had only 1.5 hours to rehearse and unpack the ceremony supplies. On August 30, as I was preparing food, I noticed that the kitchen sink was draining slowly and that the ceiling light above the sink was leaking because of the rain. Additionally, the garbage disposal was not functioning. As I was loading my car with supplies to leave the lodging, I found that the gate was stuck. I called Caroline to notify her of the issue. Ultimately, I had to climb over the gate to gain access at the entryway and walk back to my car in the rain. I was informed that you were upset about the grass before what was an extremely stressful day before the wedding ceremony. There was a lack of empathy in waiting until the event concluded or having a side discussion about it. During our conversation 30 days prior, I inquired whether we could bring the golf cart. I was assured that we could, and no guidance or policy was provided. Furthermore, I have never heard of a golf cart damaging grass. The venue's ceiling was leaking at what we refer to as the altar. Considering all of these factors, it is reasonable to conclude that you did not adequately check the lodging to ensure it met the standards necessary for guests to experience and enjoy quality family time. We were also advised that we could check in at midnight on August 29, while we had guests sleeping in their rentals and spread throughout the home. Caroline is a kind person who genuinely tries her best. However, I would not recommend Red Barn to anyone. Lodging should never be offered if it has not been properly prepared and thoroughly checked before guests arrive. Furthermore, I am requesting the complete reimbursement of my deposits for the venue and accommodation, as well as a reduction in the cost of this experience. Thank you

this place writes about how quaint and beautiful it is. it even post info about all they have to…read moreoffer like when it was a bed and breakfast. it is now only a very rundown farm . the place is not kept up. some of the grass was cut, but tall weeds were everywhere. The little pond seen in their ad, actually has a layer of scum on it. I saw a fish laying on top of the scum flopping and soon after died. probably because it couldn't get enough oxygen. the alpacas there were in a very run down pen area. there is a long 6 ft ta wooden wall in the pen area that leaning badly . it is ready to fall and is propped up with steel t post used for farm fences. They have a livestock guardian dog in the pen with the alpa's pen that does not look healthy. the entrance to the place has a dilapidated sign that is ready to fall dow. they give you a code for the entry gate. Probably because they don't want to ever meet any of their guest. They also give a code to the cabin. again so they don't have to meet you , they just want your money. The cabin was not bad, but the AC didn't work well. There were bugs in the grassy area and I was bitten many times. Run, don't walk. away as fast as you can . Their nice looking ad makes it look like a wonder place to stay. Believe me. It is not.
