The Springs at Denton helped make my wedding day PERFECT. From touring to day of they were on top of it. Always quick to answer questions and so helpful with everything asked. I loved my day and would recommend this venue! The staff is just as amazing as the beautiful venue.

Price difference that The Springs refuse to refund us if we rebook with them and choose a new wedding date.

Here are the facts: Our wedding was supposed to be on April 11, 2020. However, the Springs cancelled our wedding because of the coronavirus. The cancellation was understandable, however, to this day, we have not gotten a refund and we have not had an event at this venue. They are holding our $8450 hostage and refusing to give it back, even when they were unable to hold up their end of the contract. The Springs has let us know on several occasions that they are choosing to keep our money versus issuing a refund My family and myself have shed many tears over this situation. Here's my opinion: Choosing to have my wedding here was the biggest mistake I've ever made in my life. I don't understand how a multimillion dollar business that claims to be such a "family business" can purposefully choose to let newlywed couples get off to this rough of a start, especially amidst everything else going on with COVID-19. Kathy McNaughton (General Manager of the Denton Springs location) and her husband Matt McNaughton (VP of Operations for The Springs) have been extremely rude and disrespectful to us during this process. From friends, I've heard of many other venues in the area being so flexible and willing to refund their brides. I personally would suggest working with some of the other wedding venues versus booking with the Springs so that, God forbid, something does happen on your wedding day, you will not have to go through the enormous pain and torment of the biggest day in your life being cancelled without refund like we did. If you've read all this and do still choose to book with them, I would suggest hiring and attorney to look over the contract with a fine tooth comb before you sign it. I don't want any other bride to have to sacrifice their wedding for the "good of their business" ever again. ***UPDATE*** I would like to provide further insight as to why I would not recommend booking your wedding or event with The Springs in response to the comment made below by Daniel G of the Springs. 1. We booked a Saturday date, which was $8450. A Friday or Sunday at the Springs is $6,950. A Mon-Thurs at this Springs location is $4,950. We have spoken to them about rebooking, and they informed us that they have no Saturday dates available and we would have to book on a different day. With that being said, they have vehemently refused to refund us the price difference if we chose to rebook. 2. Their contract has a force majeure "act of God" clause that was not honored. 3. I find it funny that even though our wedding was cancelled, Daniel thinks it is good will for The Springs to "donate" future days. It's not a donation, it is the least you can do, and it was not done professionally or politely. 4. I also find it interesting that they didn't have a contingency plan in place for something such as this. In my opinion, that shows very poor business management. Are you not insured? If I do research, will I find that you were the recipient of a small business bailout loan and can afford to refund me but are just choosing to hold out? 5. I'm sure many of your brides you were able to reschedule, so the "financial hit" of refunding the rest of us surely can't be as big of a burden as you claim it is. 6. If anyone would like to see emails and documentation I have from this company's management team prior to making a decision to have your wedding with them, I would be more than happy to forward them so you can have all the facts and make a thorough decision. Long story short, avoid the drama on your wedding day and book with a better managed, more flexible company.

The team here is absolutely amazing. They genuinely helped us so much, responded basically the day-of when I emailed them with any and every question I had since it was my first wedding.. if buck and I do vow renewals etc in the future, we would absolutely go here again. The venue was clean and the floor plan was set up just like I wanted! And since weddings are overwhelming to plan, when I missed on a small deadline or something, they were so kind letting me know and understanding. Lauren, Kathy, and Elizabeth are just the sweetest people ever! I highly highly recommend this venue!! God bless y'all!

The Springs in Denton is perfection for a Rustic, elegant affair!!! The staff were accessible and great to work with. The venue staff were busy going above and beyond on the day of my daughter's wedding making sure every table, chair, flower, and blade of grass was perfect!!! They provide tools and vendor lists to help with your big day. The bridal suite is large and romantically elegant. The grooms suite was rustic and perfect place to hang out. The bathrooms are clean and adorable. There is a large kitchen space for any prep work, ice storage, and refrigeration. They arranged every table and chair to our specifications before we even arrived. We had a large dance floor and plenary of room for a 200+ person wedding. The sound system was beautifully clear. Even the goats from the neighboring farm came to see the excitement!!! The Springs in Denton is a venue I would highly recommend!!!

There are no words for how beautiful The Lodge in Denton is. Our big day was June 2nd of 2018 and we couldn't be happier with The Lodge. They provided open houses leading up to our day where you could bring friends and family to tour the grounds and also had many preferred vendors there so you could make some educated, wonderful choices for the big day. The beauty and view of the venue speaks for itself and I can't even tell you how many people have told me it was the most beautiful/fun wedding they have ever been to. You don't even feel like you're in Texas when you're at the Lodge. It is tucked away in the hills and trees of Aubrey so it reminded me a lot of being home in Michigan. The bridal and grooms suites were sooo nice and cozy! Very roomy. The flow of the reception area was perfectly laid out. Any time we had questions or concerns, we received very quick answers and they were just so helpful with everything. Guests even made a point to compliment their on site security guard. I was very touched by the dedication that went into giving us the best day ever. I wish we could go back to that day and I will forever love and cherish the memories of our wedding. Thank you to The Springs of Denton!!!!!

Being in the winter time, heaters were to be available. Should have been on standby and placed in the area should it get too cold, which was the case! Many of the attendees including myself, were cold! The heaters were not on standby, and everyone were uncomfortably cold throughout the ceremony. Some thing that the wedding coordinator should have taken care of. Other observations were that the food was not ready and attendees had to wait , some of the soft drinks such as Ginger ale ran out, and the bartender had to get someone to acquire more The bartender was great also! Many of our dishes were not clean at our table and had to be replaced. As I understand it, the colors that were promised in the flowers, and table arrangements, and the bouquets were not the colors of the wedding, and had to be remade at the last minute the morning of the wedding! Very stressful For the bride! I do not feel these details were unreasonable, and the wedding coordinator should have taken care of these details at minimum.

(We weren't late but close. I'm guessing otherwise it wouldn't have been crowded.) The beams and chandelier were beautiful! We were towards the back and viewing the wedding party was almost impossible. It would have been helpful if they were elevated a bit. We waited outside as they transformed the barn to reception ready. It wasn't fast but the weather was great and enjoyed a beautiful view and sunset. We left before the reception so I can't review the service.

We were able to have our wedding party stay for the weekend and had our rehearsal dinner at The Lodge. Our ceremony was on the lawn and reception was inside the red barn. The venue went under new ownership before our wedding day, and the new owner has made some very tasteful upgrades since we first toured which was a pleasant surprise! Caroline was wonderful to work with throughout the entire planning process. John the groundskeeper was also very helpful and friendly our entire stay. They made sure that our big day was perfect. My only minor complaint was that the barn was pretty hot during our reception. Overall I would highly recommend this venue!

Please review below: I contacted Caroline on August 29 at 10:58 to gain access to the lodging. She informed me of the entry gate code and told me to refer to the document details for the house code. The groundskeepers were still working at the rear of the house as well as at the venue. I was unable to access or utilize the garage space for storing event supplies, necessitating the transport of supplies into the house. The maintenance crew indicated that all of their supplies were present but could not be utilized. I sent Caroline photographs depicting the damage in the basement refrigerator and the old items that had been left behind. There was no toilet paper available in the restrooms. At 5 PM, I texted Caroline to inform her that the showers in the two restrooms were not functioning. Our guests were informed by your maintenance crew that the lodging had not been booked or used for some time. This situation caused an inconvenience that delayed our rehearsal by 30 minutes, as we had only 1.5 hours to rehearse and unpack the ceremony supplies. On August 30, as I was preparing food, I noticed that the kitchen sink was draining slowly and that the ceiling light above the sink was leaking because of the rain. Additionally, the garbage disposal was not functioning. As I was loading my car with supplies to leave the lodging, I found that the gate was stuck. I called Caroline to notify her of the issue. Ultimately, I had to climb over the gate to gain access at the entryway and walk back to my car in the rain. I was informed that you were upset about the grass before what was an extremely stressful day before the wedding ceremony. There was a lack of empathy in waiting until the event concluded or having a side discussion about it. During our conversation 30 days prior, I inquired whether we could bring the golf cart. I was assured that we could, and no guidance or policy was provided. Furthermore, I have never heard of a golf cart damaging grass. The venue's ceiling was leaking at what we refer to as the altar. Considering all of these factors, it is reasonable to conclude that you did not adequately check the lodging to ensure it met the standards necessary for guests to experience and enjoy quality family time. We were also advised that we could check in at midnight on August 29, while we had guests sleeping in their rentals and spread throughout the home. Caroline is a kind person who genuinely tries her best. However, I would not recommend Red Barn to anyone. Lodging should never be offered if it has not been properly prepared and thoroughly checked before guests arrive. Furthermore, I am requesting the complete reimbursement of my deposits for the venue and accommodation, as well as a reduction in the cost of this experience. Thank you

I had reserved a tour for 3 (I highly recommend that you do the tour and if you choose to do a tour that you make reservations in advance as they sell out) and initially I did 2 with bottle fills and one tour. The tours come with a ticket for a drink so that was a nice little extra. As the tour started Ryan & Diego (our fabulous guides) gave us some history of how the company started and as well as the process of how the vodka is made. We got to mix our bottle (as we got the lemon) and fill our bottles. We also got to put the caps on the bottle and see how the line works. At the end of the tour, we also got to taste some vodka. After the tour we decided to go get our drinks and the staff inside were just as kind as the staff taking us on the tour. There are so many drink options that I wasn't sure what I wanted as they have so many flavored vodkas. I was told I could sample the vodkas which I was grateful for as it helped me make a decision. My cousin got the raspberry cobbler and the Bloody Mary - the raspberry was sweet but good and I don't like bloody Mary's but I'd drink this one! I got the blueberry lemon, the prickly pear and the front porch . . . All were good to me. When we were there they had some guys playing music inside which was a little loud but sitting on the porch, it was nice to hear. They also had a pizza food truck outside and my cousin said the pizza was really good. If I could make a suggestion to the establishment I would ask them to PLEASE sell flights! Please please please as there were so many drinks that I wanted to try but unless I was gonna sleep in the parking lot I knew I shouldn't but I guess it's also a reason to come back!
