INCREDIBLE- what a magical evening at Oak Meadow Ranch! Everything was perfect - i could have spent…read moredays here hanging with all these precious animals! Nothing like having lemurs jump on you, holding an otter & a sloth & a fennec fox! Everyone who works here is top notch, beyond informative, friendly @ exceptionally helpful for truly anything you need or want. Was worth every penny we spent & more! The animals are so special , clearly dearly loved & very well cared for! Cannot recommend enough!!!!!!!

We spent the night for one night so I can only review the stay, not the restaurant…read more We stayed for one night as the final night on a week long road trip. I wanted something fun for the 6 year old. It was perfect. We booked a stay in an air conditioned covered wagon. There were animals all around; so my son got a five dollar feed bucket and visited a good many animals. The wagon beds were great, came with a/c, a lantern and a tv. They are also linked to an rv resort with a pool just across the road so we spent the afternoon there. It was a great way to spend the night. I would have loved to try the food but we were a bit late to the game and had to leave out too early My only caveat, while I appreciate the in person welcome, my brain cannot process the explanation of the whole book. You need an abbreviated version for parents. I literally forgot half of what we were told before she was finished. They.have lodging, a restaurant, a spa, and animal encounters as well, I can only speak for our one night though. 1 recommendation- bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper, dogs, peacocks and roosters aren't known for quiet. I slept fine with ear plugs in though.

We stayed in the RV section for a time. They are building more sites and construction was ongoing…read more If you need a stable Internet connection while working from your RV, stay elsewhere. There was no WiFi for the RV sites, so we had to use a Verizon hotspot. We stayed on the end of the second row, close to the hotel, and our connection on our phones and hotspot would drop off every 5 minutes. There are laundry facilities in the hotel, but they are locked, so you have to get the laundry room unlocked to use. I cannot speak to the hotel rooms. The ranch is picturesque, with cool buildings that are all locked up tighter than Alcatraz. There is a pool, but the pool house is locked up. There is no dog park, although there are some pens that can be used if you secure the gate. There are some dogs that are allowed to wander freely off leash. Beware the Chihuahuas, as one of them nipped me and my husband on separate occasions.

Brian, the owner, is great. He's very friendly and wants visitors happy. The internet is top notch, 5G service. The older couple that managed this place have moved on so no more biting chihuahuas. The pool is OPEN. The cafe has had major upgrades and they host karaoke and line dancing nights. The retreat areas are locked b/c these are rooms for guest to stay in and probably not to be dirtied by people who just wanna looksy. This place is peaceful and quiet. You can play pickleball, basketball OR have a bonfire if the weather permits AND they have farm animals in the back that are so cute! Roosters, turkey, goats, pigs, ducks, rabbits. You can just walk over and they come up to you. You're also around 6 minutes to the lake and 12 minutes to downtown Gainesville. So if you've had questions on staying here, book it and then write your own review. Like I did.
